Hi,
Does anyone know the model of the stock headphones that go with a Sony Xperia S?
Mine broke, so I'm looking into replacing them.
Official model which cones with SXS is : MH650c.

I got a new earphones with xperia p, but when trying it with xperia arc it says "unsupported accessory"
Does changing ROM will help??
Most likely not. It's hardware related.
What kind of accessory did you get? Is it a Sony accessory? Because I know some new Sony accessories for 2012 Xperias dont support 2011 Xperias and vice-versa.

I think 2011 xperias use some different wiring or sth like that, I know skullcandy headset is incompatible with my arc s, and so is apples'.
Try various headsets on both phones, and see which one is more compatible, but it may be that sony decided to follow standards with 2012 line and used proper wiring.
Its a hardware 'issue', we'll have to live with it

From what I understand if your play has a hdmi port its a z1. The r800's are all the other versions. Whether that be a gsm or cdma version. No clue what the SO-01D is.

SO-01D is the Japanese version of the Xperia PLAY. Z1 was the original (development) name of the Xperia PLAY prior to its release. So for now the Xperia PLAY goes by two names, well three.
SO-01D - Japanese model of Xperia PLAY
R800 (at,i,x,a)
Another name that signifies the type of motherboard is Zeus.
Thats all I got.... but hope it helps clarify. So unless you have a Japanese model your phone will be R800. You can find out by doing the following from the homescreen.
Menu, settings, about phone, Model Number: R800 (then whatever letter you have. at is AT&T (USA), I (International)

They are nearly identical but you can't use Z rom on ZL and other way around
u can use the mods though :silly:
Xperia z is waterproof, but in most of countries IT is not LTE capable
Xperia zL comes with LTE everywhere, but it's not water resistant.
I just bought my ZL and it's better than ehat I thought
