Help with contacts

My brother has a evo 4g and for the second time it has deleted his contacts. Can someone explain why thia happena and how to fix it? They are not uncheckes in contacts and they cant be restored by syncn google. Hia is stock unrooted. Thanks!

Is he saving his contact to his Google account or just to his phone. If to his google account be can log into his Gmail from a computer and click on contacts and see what's up with them as well as edit and change numbers

Sprinttransferd them. Why would they randomly disappear?

Cause sprint transferred to ur phone not to ur Gmail account. They r a bunch of tards

Yeah true they are. The problem is his phone makes them disappear while he is still using it.

He should be able to export his id card from his phone and import it to his Gmail account which will add the contacts to his account. But if the contacts are all gone he's screwed

Is there any way to sync contacts from Facebook with cm10

Combining Facebook contacts AOKP

Hi,
Is there any way to link Facebook accounts with previous contacts in my phone? I could do this with stock roms but with AOKP there doesn't seem to be an option. For example I have nicknames saved in my phone for contacts and I'd like to link their Facebook photo to their number.
If not with the default contacts app for AOKP, then is there another contact app you'd recommend that has this feature available? I've used Facebook contact sync but it doesn't link with names that don't exactly match. Thanks in advance!

There is an app called Facebook Contact Sync that will link the photos to your contacts.

Google sync problem

everytime i want to try a new rom i did pristine. As usual u must setup everythng including googln sync option. i untick all the sync option then after everythng ok i do restore my contact num. but everytime i did. The contact duplicated. it happend all the time when i do restore.WHY:thumbdown::thumbdown::thumbdown::what:

Check your google contacts, it might be duplicated there

Go to your gmail, check your contacts there, you can try googling "google contact" or "google contact website"

Do you mean transfer your contacts from your Sony to your P6? Have you tried exporting them in .vcd format? You could also save them on your sim.... If you have a Google account (which you'll want anyway if you've got an android phone) then simply sync your contacts with your Google account. Easiest way

not really...
for example:
I have a contact 'Peter'
and than another 'P. Big'
and I want them to join into 1 contact...
in the Sony phone I just had to hold on the name and join to another...

I found the easiest way to do is first sync to Google Account,
then manage it using GMail / Google Contact.
From there you can merge multiple contacts as well remove duplicates with ease.

When in contacts>option>more>manage contacts> last one "merge duplicate contacts
