So I have been really wanting to run MIUI but but I'm on 4.2.2. I would greatly appreciate if someone could educate me on downgrading to 4.1.2 but with the ability to go back to 4.2.2 with no problem. Thanks in advance.

What are you running now? Stock? Are you unlocked and have a custom recovery? If so, just make a backup of your current Rom, give MIUI a shot, and if you don't like it, restore your backup.
If you are still on stock, you need to unlock and install a custom recovery. This will delete what you have on your phone, so backup any pictures, texts, etc. There is a guide in the forum. I'll paste it in another post.
Good luck.
Am I missing anything guys?

I think it's easier to use adb than a toolkit. Plus, you'll learn a ton of information that will help you when you get another phone, want to help a friend, accidentally flash the wrong file, etc...

Oh sorry, I'm rooted and running Carbon ROM. I just wasn't sure if I could flash a 4.1.2 ROM when I'm running 4.2.2.

No problem and good luck. If you have time, let me know how MIUI goes. I've always been a fan since I had it on my Nexus One awhile ago. Haven't flashed it here yet.

Yeah, I know I could do that. Just simpler to have a rom that I can just flash, so I was asking if one existed.

No, its really simpler to do it the previous way. You'd be done by now if you just did it on your own. Take you 15min tops.

Just use a back up from titanium it will put it back on your phone,,,, if you don't have one then flash a ics Rom install flash and titanium back up, back up flash, then install a jelly bean Rom and restore boom!!!! You got flash,,, truth is you don't really need flash since everyone pretty much uses html5

Didn't see it mentioned but if you want a good cm10 rom check out the at&t forum. I'm running it and its great. I'm glad to have themes back

If you mean jellybeer its good but laggy and usb mount doesnt work. Will there ever be an tmobile specific aosp builds or do we rely on the at&t ones?
Don't know that but got tired of waiting. It wasnt laggy for me. I really only like it for the themes and just found out we could use att roms
From the Best: Note 2
tsf shell lagged when i used it with jellybeer and only got 4000 on quadrant
Running jelly beer now, very smooth for me. SPB Shell 3D for me, and no lag. Missing multi Window but otherwise very good.

It was mostly animation lag. Also as i said i could not mount my sdcard or internal storage on my pc with it. Ill give a future build a try again.
I'm using madmack's 12-13 build of CM10. It's working perfectly for me... everything works. It's very stable. His ROM is in the "original" development section of the AT&T Note 2 forums. Just flash it along with JB gapps. He has also started working on CM10.1, but not everything is working.
EDIT: I have not tried mounting to my PC yet.

What do you have to do different from flashing a regular rom with the tmobile modem and everything? I downloaded jellybomb from at&t note 2 forum and the t889 uvalj1 modem, but when I try to flash the rom it fails, and the modem wont show up in twrp because it isnt .zip. Any help greatly appreciated.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
Download the file again. I tried Jellybeer, it works great. You don't need to flash the modem, it's not included in the ROM. Make sure you flash JB gapps. I wasn't getting a signal on first boot of Jelly beer. I can't remember if it was a reboot or cache/dalvik wipe that fixed it.

Thanks. I downloaded Jellybeer again for the At&t note2 and the gapps but it still failed when I tried to flash it.. i dont know know what the problem is

The hardware is the same, except the radio. If you take any 7105 (7105, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-mobile) rom and the T-Mobile radio uou have a T-mobile ROM.

^right but a few things dont seem to work either. Its odd to rely on other carrier based roms. Just kinda shocked our development seems kinda slow. Not ungreatfull just confused.
So are you telling me i can also flash sprint & verizon based roms as long as i flash our radio?
So far so good....
Sent from my GT-N7105 using Tapatalk 2
I did get the CM10 rom in the At&t Note 2 Original development thread to flash and so far it is working flawlessly. All i did was flash the rom and the gapps. No radio or modem or anything. Does that mean the rom didnt include a specific radio or modem or does it just not matter?
Sent from my SGH-I317 using xda app-developers app
I just tried to flash a verizon rom and it wouldnt even boot so im doubting they are all universal. Also tried an international rom and it booted but i had no signal or data. Thankfully i nandroided back and im good. Maybe we should make a list of roms that can be used.

Need kernel & modem if coming from a CDMA ROM. International 7105 will work with modem. 7100 will not work, and could bork your imei so DO NOT FLASH 7100 ROMS

Just download factory image for your device from google site if you want to back to stock or maybe you want to try custom rom from cyanogenmod and aokp. They are the famoust cusrom with great feature and stability.
I would recommend paranoid android along with trinity kernel and twrp recovery
If you need to know what to do, there are plenty of resources and youtube videos to guide you,

Follow the sticky on flashing a factory build onto your device. Try stock for a while. You won't have problems like this and you won't have to use the search button.

Hi all,
So, because I am dumb as *****, I did not do a nandroid backup of the original ROM for my Rogers Galaxy Nexus.
I now have the well spread out USB port problem (any battery not charging beyond X % and falling....) and would like to bring it in for warranty replacement. However, I realized that I omitted the most important step when I first flashed my ROM to 4.1 (the push updates were taking too long for my taste) and now I'm stuck with a google build which I enjoy greatly but do not want to bring in to Rogers support.
1- Can anyone tell me exactly what build the "stock" Rogers G Nexus are at and is there anywhere to get it? (My HTC magic stock ROM was easily accessible and I can`t seem to find it for the GNexus... is it just the google build?)
2- If the stock ROM is not accessible, could anyone upload a nandroid backup of the stock rom?
I just don't want to bring it in for warranty replacement, get a new one and then get charged 400$ on my bill because tech support saw it wasn't the right ROM on it.... (I've read it happened to a guy on Verizon, don't want to take that risk.)
Please help... :crying:
Any luck on the stock? If not I'll try to upload mine. Lol its funny cause my problem is I have the yakju boot loader. I can't find rogers yakjuux. Did u go the yakju way?

Let me know if this works. I haven't tried to many drop box links but here is a yakjuux backup

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
There is at least one stock yakjuux ROM posted in the Dev section, and one posted in the General section. There may be more as well. It doesn't matter if it says Bell or Wind or Telus or whatever. All yakjuux ROMs are the same.
By the way, I have yet to hear of anyone returning a device with yakju or takju on it and getting denied warranty, however, I have heard of many people returning it with yakju or takju flashed, and still receiving warranty service.
Hey since your here. Do u know if primekk15 is yakjuux as well? I can't find a working tested primekk14 efrant

OK here is the question. (Yes) I'm asking before research. Can I not unpack a yakju firmware and swap my yakjuux stuff in the package. So I get format and no root etc. (Talking about Odin files)

What are you trying to do? Flash yakjuux to your device? I suppose what you're saying would work, but why not just restore one of the nandroid backups of yakjuux that i mentioned earlier? Much simpler.

Cause I can't get rid of cwm fully and updates say untrusted zip. They still install but I want to do it like yakju. It ota then updates perfectly.

The reason I want to do this is I don't remember if samsunng had any stuff on here and I want to see if there is any performance difference with using 100% the way the phone was shipped. (I love the S notepad) and I can't remember if it came with phone

Yes you can get rid of cwm. The JRO03C thread i replied in earlier has a full cwm backup of yakjuux. If you restore that using cwm, it will overwrite cwm with the yakjuux stock recovery. Then flash the kk15 bootloader and the radio from that thread.
