Hey guys, I am wondering if there is a way to change the bootlogo? I mean the bootlogo so not the bootanimation. It is the first image that shows up when you boot.

Afaik its impossible.....we need s-off to get to that part !
It could be done on the xperia arc, which was similar to the one x as in boot a kernel through fastboot, not flash one with cwm. Using a tool like this you could alter an existing kernel splash, but I'm still not 100% familiar with the one x yet so couldn't advise if it would work.
Not possible yet......

Ahh, wasn't sure if the splash image was part of of the flashed boot.img, every kernel I've tried obviously has the same splashscreen. Now I know... Ta.
Yeah i crossed this info last night
The command you need is fastboot flash splash1 nameofimage.nb0
However as stated you cannot run this command without soff

Did you flash the boot.IMG in fastboot, if you did you can try "fastboot erase cache" without the commas

Post this in the Q&A forums. Anyways, can you give us more details? Which ROM? And which kernel?

Virgin Mobile HTC One V (CDMA/primoc)
2.3.3 twrp recovery working fine
Unlocked with HTC dev
***unlocked*** (in boot loader)
Flashed su then gapps 4.1 then Pacman ROM
Error can't format SD ext (don't think this is a problem but hey just in case)
When the phone reboots it stays at the boot animation for the ROM. I've tried a couple other ROMs to no avail. I also left it with the boot animation over night just to make sure it wasn't just taking a long time. I have also been searching the internet for a RUU to at least get the phone working again. I've also been reading the xda forums and I think it might have something to do with my radios (like version 1.0.0...) I'm not totally inexperienced in android rooting (I'm currently using my HTC Evo V 3d s-off rooted with Gangamstlye ROM) but any help would be much appreciated!
I am able to access twrp recovery and can use adb with fastboot still - only my one v won't get past the boot animation

If it's a new phone you will most likely need to run the RUU but you should go in this order when flashing a ROM.
Extract the kernel from the rom
Boot into recovery
FULL WIPE
Flash ROM
Boot into bootloader
Flash boot.img through fastboot ( fastboot flash boot boot.img )
Install 4.1.2 Gapps
I have tried reflashing in that order and it still didn't work :/ Do you know where I could get a RUU?

**Stuck in Bootloops, Cant Pass the HTC welcome Screen
ok, calm down, everyone has this problem while flashing, i get it so many times, they can cause by the following reasons
bad flash
wrong rom
you forgot to flash the kernel
wrong kernel
messed up the order in flashing
ok,
1.Bad flash-this occurs if the .zip file is corrupted
solution:= re flash the ROM, if still no, download the file again and try
2.wrong ROM- u may have downloaded a ROM that is not for ur device or a ROM which is of not ur description
for example u might me a PRIMO C device/CDMA and u downloaded a PRIMO U/GSM ROM
3.Wrong Kernel-Kernel is the link between ur software and hardware, if u flash the wrong one like the case mentioned above , download the correct one and re flash
4.[ FLASHING YOUR KERNEL SHOULD BE THE LAST STEP][UNLESS U HAVE A S-OFF DEVICE]

flashing a kernel should be the 1st step mate.. soo u can directly go into recovery after kernel flashing and then proceed with rom and gapps flashing... how on earth are you supposed to go to fastboot from recovery ehh? 1st booting than fukn waiting on the boot screen...
all this voids if u use twrp still.. flashing kernel 1st is highly recommended always and everywhere

I hope I get a fairly quick response to this Followed some advide in that thread, flashed a kernel (I thought) using the All In One Tool, ever since, I've been stuck in a bootloop. Obviously I have access to my bootloader and TWRP (thankfully). My recovery backup returns the same results though.
Im new to this so I'll try toprovide all the info I can.
Followed the TUT on how to Unlock Bootloader and Root 2 days ago.
Yesterday, using the All In One tool, flashed TWRP onto phone.
Was unable to Flash AOKP JellyBean 4.1.2 so I asked for help again (ROM was flashed, but stuck on Initiating Swagger Boot)
Tried using All-In-One to flash (what I thought was) a kernel, since then, my phone just boots continuously or not at all (depending on if I wipe or whatnot)
While at work, I was able to Flash the AOKP rom and Boot into it, but after about 1 minute of use, it reboots.
This is where I'm at now.
My bootloader says
***UNLOCKED***
PRIMOC PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT- 1.57.0000
RADIO- 1.00.05.0929
eMMC-boot
Jun 18 2012, 10:22:43
I'm using the latest version (2.3.3.) of TWRP
Is there anyway I can find, and delete, the boot.img I flashed with All-In-One, that caused this bootloop?
Thanks again for helping.

I've been trying to downgrade the Radio but for some reason, even that isn't working. So I'm currently unable to go back to the stock rom, can't flash any roms, can't do anything but be in the bootloader and be sad.
I had just rooted , I had cwm and had a recovery , I tried to install am kernel by one x tool kit , but I got stuck on boot logo , I restored my backup made by cwm , but still stuck on boot logo , what to do.

Go to mounts and storage > mount usb storage. Navigate to /clockworkmod/backup and copy the boot.img for your backup to your pc.
Now restore the backup.
Boot to bootloader and then flash the boot by typing "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Reboot.

In that case I would suggest that you flash a RUU and see if that works. You will need to relock the bootloader for that.

When switching ROMs it is pretty much always necessary to clear the /data partition before booting the new ROM. I didn't see you mention that you'd done this anywhere (sorry if I missed it).
