You are talking about a Desire, this is for Desire HD and not the Bravo model. Have you checked that?

Sorry that "he" was a typo, I'm deffinatly on about the desire HD sorry for the confusion.

And your bootloader is unlocked? Also, you're flashing the ROM zip from recovery first, then flashing the boot.img from fastboot, right?

Yeah bootloader is unlocked, and I might have done it the other way round I'll try that.

In that case I would suggest that you flash a RUU and see if that works. You will need to relock the bootloader for that.

Well going to give it another shot before I do your suggestion on the RUU, I'll let you no how it goes

When switching ROMs it is pretty much always necessary to clear the /data partition before booting the new ROM. I didn't see you mention that you'd done this anywhere (sorry if I missed it).

Yeah sorry I always wipe factory, cache ,dalvik I have a HTC one so I knew how to do it but i have it working now guys flashed zip before flashed boot.img funny enough I can do it either way on my HOX :? thanks for all your help guys much love (no homo) !

Yes of course there is, but in every ROM flashing guide they say you have to do it from PC because nobody likes you.

No need to be rude BenPoope.
No, unfortunately its not possible yet. It will be possible once bootloader is fully unlocked aka S-Off access.

It was just a joke. If I was a little too sensitive, perhaps having my name misspelt could be considered rude.
Unfortunately not.
I did some experimenting with this by manually flashing boot.img with dd
Reading and flashing a boot.img works fine but as soon as you reboot its back to old img.
Deduction
Hboot protection is removing external changes to the boot partition and the only way to get a change to stick after reboot is with fastboot which requires a PC to use

Okay i wait and flash my phone when im back in germany or in a internet cafe

Sure you are fully rooted? Try a root app such as no-frills, titanium backup etc to see if it fully works.

I had this Rom, just flashed the lastest recovery in fastboot,. Try flashing this in fastboot
check if the forum where you downloaded the rom matches to your phone...at & t one x is not the same like european one x's, because of the chipsets.
That could probably be the reason for aborting...

Another thing I would try is to install supersu if you're using superuser and vice versa, and update su binaries.

You need to flash the kernel separately using fastboot. HOX doesn't have s-off so the kernel isn't flashed in recovery.
Extract the boot.img from the rom zip and fastboot flash boot boot.img
I tried that and it kep me in a bootloop still, and its s-on

If at the HTC logo, boot.img is probably still wrong, if later on, try wiping dalvik cache.

Problem with booting and bootlooping.

Hi all,
yesterdat I downloaded what is named Shendu OS and flashed it on my phone, and when the phone is turned on it get stuck on the first HOX logo,
when calling logcat, I got error: exec system/bin/sh not found.
I tried repacking the kernel and editing it, then flashing it.
I had succeeded in moving on to the second boot screen with getting logcat working.
But i faced a problem that power services are not found.
how could i solve this problem, need some help...

Sounds like parts are missing or more likely corrupt, you should try downloading it again.

I downloaded it again, same problem. I tried to repack a Kernel for it didn't work, I think zImage file is Ok. And I think the problem was with the endevaur.rc file. Or I will have to port ane for me to work.

It still persists..Let me tell you from beginning.
1. Went into CWM recovery and formatted cache, dalvik cache and wiped to factory reset.
2. Then clicked on 'install from zip' and installed the rom which you gave in other thread,,,i.e.
Signed JB 4.1.2 HTC Desire 600 Sense5 rooted v.1.16.401.3 - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6WB.../preview?pli=1
3. Then rebooted the device into bootloader and clicked Fastboot.
4. Extracted the rom file and copied the boot.img to fastboot folder.
5. Then opened the CMD window and gave the command fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. Got this message there
sending 'boot' <16383KB>... OKAY [2.719s]
writing 'boot'... OKAY [1.938s]
finished. total time: 4.672s
7. Then click on REBOOT from bootloader.
8. Device rebooted but still stuck on that HTC with beatsaudio logo...Can't get out of it...
NOW TELL WHERE I AM DOING THE PROCESS WRONG?
REMEMBER MY BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED WITH S-ON..
Can downloading kernels from htc dev website help in any way or relocking once again bootloader?

Sorry but my first thought would have been the same as you, 24ky, to flash the boot.img with fastboot. I know nothing about the Desire 600 but perhaps you can't install ROMs without s-off. A perfect example of why people need to make backups before rushing into flashing ROMs.
