[Q] Problem with HTC Wildfire PSfreedom - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi.
I have tried to make my HTC Wildfire so i'm able to enter FSM on my PS3. The problem is when i try to install the signed_090710_225229.zip file by firstly entering recovery mode on my HTC, then when i have installed it and rebooted my phone, the touch screen will not work and i can't unlock it. I have followed this guide:
"PSFreedom on a HTC Wildfire by alephzain
Requirements :
- A rooted phone (see unrevoked.com)
- the package signed_090710_225229.zip put in /sdcard
- a terminal emulator installed on your phone
Howto :
- go in recovery mode
- do a nandroid backup
- select install zip from sdcard
- select choose zip from sdcard
- select signed_090710_225229.zip zip file
- reboot the phone
- open the terminal emulator :
su
insmod /system/lib/modules/psfreedom.ko
- and enjoy the procedure to activate the hack"
- I have rooted my phone, and it should be rooted because i have the "S-OFF" in the top of the screen when i enter recovery mode. What am i doing wrong? I'm also able to recover it by using a previous backup, but as soon as i install the signed_090710_225229.zip and reboot my phone i am not able to use the touch screen. Here's a link for the signed_090710_225229.zip which i have used: psfreedom.com / downloads . php ? cat _ id = 2 & download _ id = 88 (Without spaces)
How can i fix this, is there something wrong with the signed_090710_225229.zip file or what is it?

Here's the info i got on bootloader:
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.01.1002
MICROP-0622
TOUCH PANEL-ATMELC03_16ac
RADIO-3.35.20.10

Are you following the proper wipe procedures before flashing that zip file. It may be causing your issue if you are "dirty flashing it'

[Q] Loop on Cyanogen logo (blue) after CM 6.1.1 update

Hello
I have a HTC Desire (gsm).
Already rooted, with Cyanomod Gen 6.0.1
I upgrade using Rom Manager application, to CM 6.1.1 + Google Apps.
Download CM 6.1.1 and install seem normal.
But after reboot, when the HTC white screen change to Cyanogen Blue logo, after some time the blue logo start again
Impossible to boot ! My HTC Desire loops on CM logo...
I remove battery, try to reboot on recovery (holding the "down" key when Power on).
I have the menu.
When I select "recovery", after some second, the screen go black with a HTC picture and a /!\ RED !
It seem I'm blocked.
How to put a rom on SD-card, and reboot to install this Rom ?
I download CM 6.1.1, try to put it as "updade.zip" on the SD-card, but I don't know how to install it ...
Thanks for your help.
You need to get a custom recovery. You can use either ClockworkMod or Amon. You need to flash it through fastboot (I think) or you can do it through recovery. Command is something like
Code:
fastboot flash recovery filename.img
I am not sure though so you might want to check it out on here.
Once you have the custom recovery, boot into it and then you can navigate through the menu's. You can mount your SD card as USB so then you can transfer the rom across, then just install the rom by going to choose zip from SD card (or something like that).
**EDIT**
Comes to my attention that to flash via fastboot you need to be S-Off to do this.
The update.zip is your fake flash recovery image so you probably removed it. Get the CWM (same version as you were using) update.zip and put it back on the root of the sd. Next time don't rename anything to updated.zip, just keep the file name and use "install zip from sd".

Does the recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-bravo.img is compatible with the HTC Desire (not HTC Bravo) ?
I simply copy this recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-bravo.img to the root of the SD-Card (from my Ubuntu PC with a micro-SD usb reader) ?
I have the Android SDK on my Ubuntu PC, but not the "fastboot" utility
(not in /android-sdk-linux_86/tools and not in /android-sdk-linux_86/platform-tools)
**EDIT**

What is "S-Off" ?
Ok, I find the explication : S-Off = partition signed off ...
Probably I'm NOT S-Off, because I never read about it before.
Do I need the fastboot utility ?
I read several pages, but all use different methodes...
Thanks,
Didier
Manually upgrade from SD, but always loop on CM logo
Hello,
I don't know what I can do ...
So, I explain exactly my problem :
- CM 6.0.1, update to 6.1.1 seem to failed : loop on Blue CM logo
What I can do now on my HTC Desire :
Boot with the "Volume down key" : I have access to the menu :
BRAVO PVT1 SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.80.0000
MICROP-031d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.10.05.17.2
Mar 29 2010
HBOOT USB PLUB (this change when I plug or unplug USB)
...
FASTBOOT
RECOVERY
CLEAR STORAGE (I try to clear storage, but doesn't solve the problem)
SIMLOCK
----------------------------------
I can go in Fastbook menu :
...
FASTBOOT USB (change when I plug USB)
...
BOOTLOADER
Reboot
etc ...
------------------------------------
When I go in the Bootloader menu, after some secondes, I see messages (fast, difficult to read)
No Image !
Loading [...]
No image or wrong image
------------------------------------
Do I need to copy an image file to my SD-Card ?
Which file ? A CM 6.1.1 file or a ClockworkMod Recovery img ?
------------------------------------
Do I need to use "Fastboot USB" ?
How ?
I don't have the "fastboot" utility in my sdk on my Ubuntu PC.
------------------------------------
It's probably not difficult to solve... but of course I not know how
Thanks for your help.
==================
Oh, ok ! I find (remember) that when I have the black screen with the /!\ Red, I can access to the Recovery menu with the "Volume UP key" and "Power" (not down key)
I try :
- erease Date : not solved
- erease Cache : not solved
So I try to manually install CM 6.1.1 :
- I copy the CM 6.1.1 zip file to the SC-Card
- rename to update.zip
- reboot the HTC Desire in recovery
Installation of Cyanogen MOD 6.1.1 seem ok :
...
Installing update...
Welcome to CyanogenMod-6.1.1-Desire !
Install from sdcard complete.
- Reboot
arghh.. NOOOO ...
Always LOOP on the cyanogen(mod) blue animated logo
I hope you have some ideas to help me.
Thanks
Didier
Solved
I flash again and again ...
I succeed to flash CM 6.0.1, and it works... (my Desire was in 6.0.1)
but not 6.1.1
So, I thing it must be some data corrupt, or not compatible with CM 6.1.1
So :
I copy again the CM 6.1.1 update.zip on the SDcard
I reboot again in recovery (2)
I flash update.zip
before reboot, I erease data and cache partition
And ok, it works... but no Google Apps... but my HTC Desire boot again.

[Q] [ROM][19/04][Sense2.1 GingerBread]InsertCoin CM7/A2SD+ v03 |Cam working

Hi,
Does anyone has a disk space issue with this ROM: InsertCoin_GB_Sense2.1_CM7_v03.zip?
Configuration: CM7 and alpha HBOOT
Thanks
Are you using a costom h-boot?
+ the right partitions - ext3?

BRAVO PTV1 S-OFF
HBOOT 0.93.0001
Radio 5.11.05.27
recovery 2.5.1.8 (blue) from AlphaRev. But when I flash the zip, the recovery was the 3.0.0.5 (orange).
I try also w the 2.5.1.8, till have the same issue...
you have conversion tools 2nd page or with cwm 3.0.0.5 just wipe user data the recovery will reformat your partition to EXT3
so I guess it's now EXT3...
Hmmm i dont think you have the cm7 h-boot, you are only s-off with alpharev... go to alpharevs site and download the pb.img witg cm7 and change it (read the tut on the side) copy to sd and go on fast boot and say yes and yes for upgrading.
Here you gohttp://alpharev.nl/:
You can also download the corresponding PB99IMG zipfile, put it on your sdcard, and rename it to PB99IMG.zip. Then start the phone in HBOOT mode (VolDown+POWER) to flash the HBOOT without a PC. It is however still necessary to either restore your nandroid, or reflash your ROM after doing this. The partition LAYOUT has changed, the actual data still needs to be 'moved'.

Thanks for the help
But, I already done that and I think it's ok because when I did a backup I have:
system: 123.52M
sd-ext:235.75M
data:137.34M
so it's ok no?
But the disk space avalable is 23Mo, when I install new apps, I have the warning of disk space
Its not ok, my friend had the seme problem as you, and he had stock h-boot...
On h-boot
It must say:
Alpharev CM7

ok thanks.
I try again and w the zip file I have a CID error
I had a look on the forum and try the fastboot method.
I will keep you updated
OK, if you are not so experienced you can try this to push the h-boot on:

Ive had the same problems... might give a few of your suggestions a try and see if it works
thanks for your help, I'm currently reading this article
now I have the hboot CM7.
full wipe and install of the rom. So wait and see
Thanks again for your help.
It must be all ok now...
Thanks a lot. It's working. Available memory >180mo

HBOOT CM7 & CW3: how to

follow these instructions:
- step 0:
- device has to be S-OFF
- step 1:
Here you go http://alpharev.nl/
You can also download the corresponding PB99IMG zipfile, put it on your sdcard, and rename it to PB99IMG.zip. Then start the phone in HBOOT mode (VolDown+POWER) to flash the HBOOT without a PC. It is however still necessary to either restore your nandroid, or reflash your ROM after doing this. The partition LAYOUT has changed, the actual data still needs to be 'moved'.
If you have a CID error message in HBOOT mode. Go to step2...
- step 2:
- donwload the bravo_alphaspl-cm7.img file.
- install FastbootCommanderV.1.1.zip. Read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823315
You need java (cf java web site).
For W7, I had to modify the windows path variable in the windows advance seatings to add the java path (C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin). I also add admin privilege on java.exe, javaw.exe
- Create a IMGFiles directory and put inside the bravo_alphaspl-cm7.img file.
- reboot your phone in HBOOT
- plug to PC w USB
- run the FastbootCommanderV.1.1.jar
- click on HBOOT/spl button and select the bravo_alphaspl-cm7.img file
- click on recovery button and select the recovery-bravo-3.0.0.5-r3.img file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=839640
- click on flash spl
- click on flash recovery
On MISC tab, you can reboot your phone in HBOOT and check that you have the new HBOOT CM7
- last step:
- enter in recovery
- wipe full
- go to select zip and pick your ROM
It takes a while for the first boot.
Hope it helps. If you need more details, ask
How come :
I've downloaded rom and setup gmail etc..
It automaticly downloads my apps ? Where can I choose wich apps and wich dont ?
Hi,
From my experiences...:
If you used a gingerbread before, it will be done automatically.
The market will reinstall the app you downloaded....
If it's the first time you are using gingerbread, you have to pick your apps in the market.
with this ROM, you can move all apps to the SD .
Can be done in app settings.
Hope it help.

[Q] Updating the CWM

Hai there!
I have CWM version 3.2.0.0 in my Wildfire and I want to update to 5.0.2.7. I know we can open up 5.0.2.0 without flashing something in Rom Manager but I want my real CWM 5.0.2.7. So how we are doing it. Should I just do what I did when flasing 3.2.0.0?
Thanks.

How to Install a new Clockworkmod Recovery Image?
There are 4 basic ways:
1) Via Terminal Emulator (Needs S-OFF) - Guide Here. If you get an error "flash_image: Not Found", follow Steps 1-5 from Here, then, back to the original (first) link. Pushing of flash_image is a 1 time process. You need not repeat it everytime.
2) Via Fastboot (Needs AlphaRev / Revolutionary S-OFF) - Guide Here. Refer the part called "To install Clockworkmod after Revolutionary"
3) Via PC49IMG.zip Process (Needs S-OFF) - Download anyone of the PC49IMG ZIP file of the recovery you wish to install, place on your SDcard, and reboot into HBoot Mode. It will detect the file, and ask to install. Simply select Yes. If you wish to install another version which isn't present below, simply get the IMG file of the recovery version you wish to install, and replace in an existing ZIP. (Without Unzipping)
4) Via Unrevoked (No Pre-Requisites. Works on S-ON / S-OFF devices) - Guide Here

[Q] HTC one x europe reinstall system

Hello (first of all..excuse me for my English).
- I've got a HTC one X (europe). **unlocked**
- I got ClockworkMod v5.8.2.4.
- Endeavoru PVT ship S-on RL
- Hboot-1.72.0000
- CPLD none
- Microp-none
- CPU bootmode: disabled
- eMMC-bootmode: disabled
- HW Secure boot: enabled
- MOdem path: OFF
I've rooted this Phone and i got superuser. I want to install miuiandroid_multi_endeavoru_4.4.25_jb-4.2.
I did:
- wipe data factory reset.
- wipe cache partitiono
- wipe dalvik cache
- a flash
- in mount and storage -> format system.
Normally i can install the new rom with install zipp from sd card..but this time the install give a ..status 7 installation aborted.
On xda i found how to resolve the status 7 problem. So i solved the status 7 problem. But the files are on my computer. I want set them on my htc one x, but my computer isn't seeying my htc one x anymore..sometimes he sees the htc bij cd-rom and harddisk en sometimes only hard disk..but i can't get into the Phone. Drivers are installed.
Now the problem begins....i don't have any system anymore..the Original htc sense was gone...i think that happened by fomat system.
I just want to set the fixed status 7 files on my HTC but i cant get in it.
When i start the Phone he's hanging in the startup screen from HTC. Green HTC quietly brilliant. The only thing that i can do is gett in the clockworkmod.
What do i need to do to get this problem fixed.

If i could..i would do it...but I can't get in my Phone..so if i dowload Philz recovery..i have to set it on my Phone..thats the problem..i can't get in my Phone's memory (sd).
You need to flash the recovery via fastboot. The file needs to be in the fastboot folder on the pc and the phone in the bootloader.
Then flash it with fastboot commands
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

yah @Mr Hofs is right you must to use command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img where recovery.img must to be in the fastboot folder
Hmm...the problem was...my Phone died during the things i did.
I brought my phone to a Phone fix store..instead off 1 day repair..he tryed 1 week to repair it. He also used ODIN..but the Phone stopped everytime ay 80% en then the Phone recovered itself en was hanging in de android image startup mode.
Conclusion: R.i.P. my htc one X. It was easier on the htc desire
Does anybody now if i can save my files on the internal sd card..like foto's, adresses etc.
Maybe in windows safe mode..of something like that...i don't know.
