So basically i've given up on trying to find the right touchwiz kernel. Tested anthrax, lean, and modded stock and all of them make phonecalls sound like underwater.
- I want a kernel that has good GPS LOCK
- I want a kernel that doesn't sound underwater
- Obviously performance and battery are important
Thanks for suggestions

My calls have always been very clear with all of the AOSP kernels I've used.
Don't recall having that issue on TouchWiz either. If it is happening on the stock kernel, my first thought would be hardware issue.

There are three Liberation ROMs. There's Liberation, Enhanced, and Enhanced Beta. The latter, the beta version (2.x) is based off Gingerbread. As stated above, we do not have kernels made for them yet.
However, the first 2 are still on Froyo. If you check the thread for Liberation, there's links to Lou's custom kernels. Those are the kernels that I personally recommend (using #8 myself), though you can certainly use others.
Alright, thank you guys for clearing this up for me love your roms jay hopefully kernels well be made for them!
Hey guys, I've been using Task's AOKP for as long as I can remember, but now I have a bit of a change and have to start driving a lot. On his ROM, I used the LeanKernel which was the absolute best for my phone. It never heated up, easily got 4 hours screen on time, etc. But now I need to use a TW Rom, because all AOSP / AOKP ROM's have messed up bluetooth. 4.1 had a 'fix' where I would have to call a number for bass to start coming through, which really wasn't a fix at all. And now on 4.2 bluetooth is just broken. I switched back to TW and bluetooth is fine, but unfortunately my battery sucks. So I am wondering if there is anything like the LeanKernel out there for TW?

That's what I was using, and like I said that's for AOSP. I need working bluetooth so I went back to TW Rom's which this kernel won't work with =/

Hey guys,
I have a problem with all AOSP ROMs. I simply install the ROM and with no internet/no apps/no nothing and I lose like 30% overnight :/ On the otherhand, any TW based ROM and I lose like ~11% IF THAT...
I was running CM10 on my S3 and I didn't see any problems but all 10.1 based roms are killing me. I despise TW lol and I much rather stay on AOSP
I mean, I didn't post BBS since I don't even have anything installed or nothing
Any solutions? I was fine on CM10 based roms but ...

Hey can I improve my sounds by flashing a kernel? I'm running stock rooted 4.1.2

Faux plus faux app probably. Maybe try the mods availabel like Viper and beats and such. I'm thinking of creating a thread with all those available and testing them out to see if they actually work. I've yet to see any difference with those sound mods but people swear by them.
If you don't want to flash a kernel use this
http://forums.team-nocturnal.com/sh...EQ-s-and-Clear-Bass-Working?p=15762#post15762
It works for me, and its the best sound enhancer I've used. Just flash in recovery and go.

I'm not sure if you could since you're on stock but maybe install dsp manager?

I did fresh install of Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 using CWM. The ROM is great, most stable of the ones I used (official ICS, Liquid Nitro and some other ICS based) it has very few random reboots, and I think that SD card is a reason to that. I really like the CM 10.1.3 but problem is that games simply work slowly. I have installed Fruit Ninja 1.8.8 which worked fine on other ROMs I tried but here it works slowl, and Subway Surfers for example won't even open. Is there any fix to this?
Also by the way... Should I flash p936 baseband since I live in Europe?
Any of the CM or AOSP based ROMs will give you poor gaming performance. Only ROMs based on official ICS will have the performance needed IMHO. With that being said, currently I am running NitroTNT, which gives me the best balance of battery, performance and stability. You might also try SphinX which is based off of official Jellybean. Even though it isn't as good as ICS for games, it still is a lot better than CM.

Why might this be? Is it because the official-based roms use the kernel for this phone while CM uses a CM-based kernel? Can we maybe get CM10.1.3 working with an official jellybean-based kernel? @lyfkevin maybe you can provide some input.

Hmm I didn't know about NitroTnT, because I didn't first see it in repository... Looked again now and found it! From the description it does seem good, I'm downloading it at the moment. Will tell you the results I got tommorow!
Well I couldn't wait tommorow The ROM is nice it works fast, games work and there was not a random reboot yet! That is most important to me... By the way... Why does on every ROM LG voice recorder crash while trying to send voice message on facebook messenger?

Hmm that happened when I used Liquid Nitro too, it might be an issue with messenger. I think I'll replace it with a custom voice recorder. Oh and 1 suggestion (maybe I should have posted it on the Nitro TnT thread) I think you could have removed the stock calculator... There are 2 calculators there Anyway thanks for the ROM! It works fine for me!

Umm sorry to bother you, but your ROM sometimes boot loops. It happened 3 times and I had to do hard reset. Any fix to this?

Go to the 1st post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297229 and download original NitroTNT theme. Install with CWM, some people have issues with the modified KronicUI mod. This will fix it. Sorry
