I put original firmware back on my phone and used Triangle Away. My count was reset to zero and it says original Samsung. Phone works great again after rough few weeks. However it still says "System Status:Custom" Is there a way now to change this back to normal in case I need warranty service? Thank you.

It doesn't matter. But if your phone is already on you should just do out through settings. You haven't rooted again right.
Here's the thread where I got it from and personally tried myself. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2136921

Have not rooted again. Thanks
Go into phone official recovery by power, home, and lower volume key together and wipe cache (and data too I think). It will clean out custom recovery footprint. (Hint: you have to be unrooted to go in official recovery). Hope that helps.

I've also done just by factoryv reset through phone settings. Either way works. As long as toy followed the instructions in the link I posted.

I found a few apps that tracks your phone down or even takes pictures of the person trying to unlock it, but like the title says, is there any app that blocks hard reset? It's kind of pointless if your phone gets stolen if they can just shut the phone off and do a hard reset to it and sign in with there email,
Thanks :-D

I guess in theory you could place an app like Seekdroid in the system folder and then do a hard reset. Usually a hard reset won't affect system apps.

you can't really avoid physical maneuvers. and anything baked into the phone's startup has to be a modification to the actual ROM. so no.

This is how I got around the GPS toggle not working:
Since AndroidLost.com allows you to send texts, I have setup a tasker profile which waits for a text that says "androidlost" and if it receives it, it enables GPS.

I have broke my phone and the lcd and screen has broke so no touch screen or display works. I have insurance on it so I need to ship it out soon for a return. I want to back it up so I dont lose all of my stuff. Could I install clock work mod recovery and look at another phone I have using the hard ware keys to get to the back up selection and put the backup on my computer and when I get the new phone, put it on there and restore? Im pretty sure I can do that but will they allow the return if I had flashed clockwork mod. I dont see how they couldnt because they send me the new phone first and I send mine back after I already have the new phone so they cant deny the return can they?

Yes flash a ROM meant for another device. That will remove Odin mode and everything else. You will have the shiniest brick available. But it won't have Odin mode!

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
I came from a device that utilized fastboot as well and I was used to it so I understand where you are coming from. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about it.
I had a device with fast boot and I have no idea where he is coming from. Removing download mode won't do anything to benefit performance. You can't add fast boot to a Samsung device..at least that i am aware of. Download mode is just the way things are done in these parts. Removing it would only remove a potential lifeline when things get scary with soft brick. It would also remove the ability to root. If you want fast boot back, you will have to go back to a device that utilizes it.

I guess I worded it wrong. Before I even flashed a ROM, my phone didn't say Odin Mode at the very top of the download mode screen. I forget what it said, honestly, but I'm asking if it's possible to restore my phone to it's original state before I used Odin to root and mod it.

Hmm, I just have an old personal custom kernel/rom on my old phone, I no longer use/hack it. It's totally useless, but I just want to keep my visual change forever (print my name at the boot, and some random other useless thing like that, it's juste for fun, somes little patch I make when I discovered the kernel), It is also to learn something new about the sbl-download mode, because I don't really know how it works, and I haven't found any documentations about this.
tl:dr : for fun, discover something new.
Thanks for any idea, or tips.
There is no way to remove download/Odin mode. To attempt to do this is absolutely retarded. I am now reporting this thread to stop the insanity. Do Not private message me again about this subject either.

There is no way, nor is there any need, to 'remove Odin Mode'.
So my dad's s3 i747 keeps freezing after making a call and staying on for 10 or more minutes..it doesn't matter if its speaker or not. Phone freezes and you are forced to pull battery and reboot to make it function. Tried changing sim, reset several times, turned proximity sensor off..am wondering if anyone else has this problem and possible solutions..would be much appreciated.

I'll remove xposed then.
I try using freegee to unlock but it said my version was too new and i needed a special code. After i got it , it said something about storing download mode somewhere in my phone.
Next i tried using the teeny bins , it unlocked but it wouldn't let my phone boot after i would install a rom?

Sounds like a bad flash / corrupted system. I am inclined to agree that you need to do a factory reset first, however you will more then likely lose your SD contents. A very good rule of thumb is to remember if you are flashing a ROM based from stock and you are one / stock it's self, you should be good. Same works for CM based ROM's going from one to another tends to do pretty well, it's the crossing of the guards so to speak that tends to cause issues.
Personally if I could get in my phone I would back up everything and flash stock rom > factory reset > root/unlock > wipe everything in recovery except internal (SD) and then flash ROM/Gapps.
GL!

Just flash a factory ZVB image (unmodified other than root & unlocked) through recovery. Follow the steps in the linked post below to update to ZVC (works with TWRP recovery) without too much hassle (uses Rootkeeper & Freegee). No computer needed and -worked great! Took under 10 mins during work break!, No loss of apps / data / sdcard.

Not much new. Here's a post about the update. Your root, and Freegee and the teeny bins all work.
ZVC bin added. Please thank tommyjoesanders here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437284
My upload was bad, so I won't have another one til tomorrow.
Changes found so far:
Roaming popup still keeps showing up after being checked
less than 10 character texts work now
Avoid poor wifi connections is still messed up.
tommyjoesanders - They sure did fix auto brightness sensors, wifi and signal locks on better and they updated most the pre installed apps from google.
The modem/radio seems to be the same. But tommyjoe says they made improvements in other ways.

Just a quick follow up (after updating and going back to root/unlock). The biggest change I've noticed with the update is the radio performance. They've definitely improved in that area. I especially notice this when indoors at work where I RARELY (as in almost never) got a 4G connection. Now I get a solid 3 bars indoors. Same with at home where my connection period was spotty (apparently my house sits in a gray zone). Which is why I always just used WiFi at home. But just to check, disabled WiFi and now I get a steady 3G connection (I never ever got a 4G connection at home so I wasn't expecting to now).
