[Q] Is my Smartphone Canvas 4 Bricked?

I recently rooted my Micromax Canvas 4. After its rooted, it was working flawlessly. further i installed Chaifire 3d. After intalling CF3D drivers from the app, it tried to reboot, but is wnfortunately freezing at canvas 4 logo screen. I need an urgent help.
Is this an Brick case im facing?
How can i Save phone?
Will installing a ROM help?

Thanksfor taking time to respond.
The problem is im a little less able to be called a developer. I tried searching it but didnt got an original Rom, the one micromax uses. It would be very helpfull if u post a link. I'll manage to download sp flash tools on my own.

downloaded the ROM and im Stuck where usb is not detected. i tried installing different drivers like pdanet, cynus t1 drivers. what should i do? its still searching.

try follows option
first you have done little research about the app
if you have cwm try to go to recovery and factory reset device and wipe data
but may be you didn't install than try this you say that canvas 4 logo seen hence may be you are able to get into recovey
press and hold vol up down and power keynow u see recovery mode and factory mode
press vol up key for go to recovery mode now see like this
use only vol up for scrolling and go to recovery mode then press vol downnow u see wipe reset menu hare
go to wipe/reset with vol key's5.to select use options keynow reset finish...............
try it and work for you than tell me

Open your device manager on your pc then plug the phone via USB. After a second or two I new device will pop up on the device manager but will only stay there for a few seconds, right when it appears right click on it and choose properties then drivers, then update driver then (at least on Windows 7) choose browse my computer and use wherever you put the driver files. That will install the driver.
Once the drivers are installed unplug the phone and open the Flash tool on the pc. Click scatter loading. And direct it to the Scatter file of the Rom. Then click download. now plug the phone back in and it should just flash it. When you get the green circle it's done.

And no, it's not bricked. Mine did the same thing trying to use Chainfire 3D. If you follow the directions it will work. Oh yeah, the first time you turn it on it may not boot. Just hold the power button and restart again and once the boot screens come up you will see the android is updating apps and it will boot.

things are going from bad to worst but i am not giving up.....so need U
as per your post even can can unbrick canvas4 ....
while using sp too; i used format ( to factory format)
now nothing happens ( pressing down Vol +/_ and power ) cant go into recovery
please help.....

Hi guys and thanks to all those who advised me
There is good news for those who have hard bricked phone ( ie the phone don't even have a boot loader, cant start , nor recognized by PC, or go into recovery.... no red light when connected to charger) , i formated via sptool the bootloader and the phone was totally dead....
most said it not possible to revive it .....its in dead zone..... go to service center and change processor.
the new is for all local micromax , karbonn, spice (chinese brand) phone its simple and cost the least and the service is available for just Rs350/- ( $6/-), that to in under 10mins......
jtag service for just Rs1500/- to 2000/- ( $25 to 30/-) for branded phones
if anyone has problems ( bricking) specially in Goa please do post will direct you to the local guy center..

why not just flash the stock ROM using Sp flash tool

boot loop and no recovery Canvas a310 nitro (no forum for nitro)
I have rooted my Micromax Canvas Nitro A310 using Kingoroot and installed TWRP recovery before. Also I had installed a Custom ROM of Coolpad F1 from needrom<dot>com. There wasnt any problem till now except the auto rotation. Today i formated my sd card and switched off my phone and on reboot it came to boot loop. It is not booting the ROM and also the TWRP recovery. Shows only the first screen and goes off and on to the screen again. As it does not boot to recovery for me to wipe cache and dalvik, I tried to install drivers again to flash recovery using fastboot, but as its on a boot loop problem and its not standing by for me to install drivers, I am totally stuck. Please help me ASAP.

I do yesterday my first root. All going good. I got my phone rooted - New android versioon 4.4.2
But after a few hours I think I change my rom. I looking a youtube a good video. I find it.
I do all like video if im completed I restart my phone and after this my phone is bricked.

Phone is turned on but no picture. If I do that: Press and hold volume donw and connect your device to computer with micro usb cable I see some options.

Did you a backup ? You can try push a custom rom via adb and install it via recovery. Which recovery do you use?

I dont have backup and cant rembmer which recovery
And im not the best if this things. I need more explanation

2. Download KDZ you want - DONE
3. Download drivers, LG Mobile Support Tool, patch and flashing tool

Maybe someone can help me. My problem is that the P6 keep continually showing Huawei LOGO
I cannot do anything! The problem is as well with “adb”, no connection between USB and my PC.
Phone say “waiting for devices”.
I have tray many different options, but nothing is working…
I am waiting for any possibilities.

Many thinks:
In first place root with SRS one click, then I have tray install KITKAT on it.
And now is not working.
Next step was 3 week on Google and XDA without any result.
He is still not working.

So you updated to KitKat and after that it is stuck? And which KK firmware do you wanted to install?

Yes, I use OMNI rom, but this is not important, because for this moment I cannot go to recovery or fastboot.
So, for my phone the adb is not working.
Any recovery from “SDCARD\dload” or any button combination is as well not working.
I am really looking for another solution – a miracle.

Dont use adb in fastboot..instead of adb always use fastboot..and simple way to put your mobile in fastboot mode is to reboot the device and press volume down button untill it will show huawei ascend logo...and once it shows huawei ascend logo and strucks there it means that you are in fastboot mode..then run fastboot commands from terminal..

hi.i want to help u,so u need to Liston very carefully
first of all.adb commands wont work,but fastboot commands work
so press volume down +power buttons
phone will restart but u r in fast boot now
plug ur usb cable to the phone.u have the adb programs right ?
so in the environment like cmd windows.install a stock recovery from the page.using >>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
so u don't need adb commands.just flash the recovery using fasboot from surdu's page
if it said:wating for devices:it means u r not in fastboot mode.(my third line)
if u r in fastboot and still not connected to the computer then u dont install the p6 driver correctly.
u have to install the p6 driver or simply install hisuite from huawei site
when u flash the recovery.img and its done >>>in your sd card ut kk beta in ur dload folder and inside UPDATE.app
press volume down +volume up +power button to go to recovery
it install the new rom

But now I am stuck in a boot loop i think ( it won't do anything but showing me the lg sign )
I tried downloading the kdz file but there isn't 1 site for the Dutch one @ NLD/Netherlands (tbh there is but all the links are down)
I can't boot into the cwm either and I also can't do hard reset...
Can anyone tell me what to do?

I found a sollution for this.
Download LG Mobile Support tool ( http://lg-support-tool.en.lo4d.com/ )
Put your phone in download mode "Hold the VolumeUP + VolumeDOWN Button and plug in the usb cable from your device to your pc [DON'T PRESS THE POWER BUTTON], let it install the drivers. ( To be sure it found you'r drivers, you should press on : Install Drivers
Once you installed your driver of the e98x ( mine is e986 ) Press on Extra functions - Upgrade-error recovery.
Make sure it found your device and make sure you are connected to the internet "IT WONT WORK WITHOUT INTERNET CONNECTION"
Launch it and it will reset your phone to new ( it did for me )
Don't get mad if you lose you're data T_T this worked for me so it should work for you to

Nope, aint working since it says that my battery isn't fully charged. but i even tried the battery of a friend of mine and it says the same..

are you able to enter into the recovery by pressing pOWER + VOLUME UP ? the device must be turned off and to be sure, pull battery and charging cable off and put battery back to do the pressing combo.

how do you get into the recovery mode?
please do not mistake cwm and recovery mode, because cwm is your recovery mode.
so please tell what steps you were using so that we can help you

I also tried that while I took out my entire battery but the same results

Ehm guys, I would like to know how to get my phone back to the stock image. I am still stuck on the error which says my battery is empty when I try to restore it but I quess it is because my phone thinks it is en E980 while it is an e986
Or it is because I flashed Madmacks kernel or smthing. Any solutions? :C I just wanna go back to the stock image D:

1. connect ur phn to ur pc and install flashtool from step 4.
2.install drivers of ur mbl
3.download the kdz firmware file u want from here http://www.lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=25
4.now follow the steps provided in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2797190
5.its better to choose cse flash as i did that(when i chosen normal flash,the update stopped saying some error.so disconneted my net connection and tried again.it worked)
6.if u follow the above steps correctly,ull get ur phn back within 6 minutes.
(sorry for my english) and please let me know if ur phn is back.

Unfortunately I don't have the 986 and didn't catch that was your specific model. If you're in a bricked mode already and have access to your original FW then its worth a shot for recovery. YMMV

make sure you have your internet connection disabled when you start LG Flash Tool and that you are using Windows 7, i dont know if it will work on windows 8, but im sure it wont work on winXP.

[Q] Please really need help. (brick)

Hello everyone, first i want to sorry for my English, but i really need help :crying:. I installed on my xperia this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2354859 [ENG]. And everything was good, but after 14 days i didnt have a charger and my phone completely discharged. My xperia wont turn on now. I cant conect to flashmode or fastboot. And when i conect usb led (light green) blinks, but when i press volume up+down it stops and pc recognize that like qhsusb_dload and after 2 minutes led blinks again and pc dont see it. Thanks for help

Hello there,
I think i have a solution to your problem and the answer is ( just follow what i say)
1) Download Androxyde XPERIA Flashtool from here.
2) Then install it on your PC , later install Fastboot and Flashtool Drivers (the .exe file will be there in c:\flashtool\flashtool drivers,u need not download separately) , as u are using Sony Xperia M , Check Flashtool drivers , Fastboot Drivers and Drivers for Xperia P,S when prompted.
3) Download the .FTF file of your Phone. Google it u"ll find it in no time
4)Then open Flashtool and Connect your Phone in Flashmode Mode ( by holding Volume Down button ,check for ur phone )
5) Search for the .FTFfile u"ve downloaded , Do check Wipe cache and data checkboxes and then click Flash, plz wait for the Flashtool to detect and prepare your files for Flashing
That's it , Now your Phone will work like never before
Plz tell me if it worked or not coz it worked for me and i am sure it will work for u too. i use Sony Xperia M Dual C2004

What do u mean by i can get into fastboot. does it mean u dont know how to get into fastboot or ur phone doesnt go into fastboot??
If u dont know how to go into fastboot, then press and hold volume up key of ur phone and connect it to PC
to enter into Flashmode , press and hold volume down key and connect it to ur pc
I use Sony Xperia M Dual C2004 and these keys are for my phone ,plz check for yours:good::good::good::angel::angel:

Dear "Idiot" mate, why no you read op carefully? His device can't be connected to pc in fastboot mode bcz it's bricked... Ohh btw that thanks for you pressed mistakenly, you haven't quoted anything smart here

hey there,
thanks for calling me an "idiot" and u made me realize that his phone is bricked and i should quote some sense in my post rather than telling him to the max i know , as i thought he was unable to connect in fastboot mode by pressing wrong keys so i suggested him with something i know.
but thanks for that post and comments you put on me, really opened my eyes:good::good:

yes i kind of knew about bricking and want to know about it more,
i've few questions
1) what steps lead to bricking of android device?
2) any way to unbrick? by hardreset or anything?
3) what is the difference between nightly , FXP and weekly updates? is it like nightly means they get updates every night and weekly means they get updates every week , am i right ?? if nt plz mention how they are different frm each other??
