Which CWM recovery you flashed on MMX a100? I was referring to quite a lot of websites which were talking about CWMrecovery.6.0. for MMX. However after flashing this recovery, I am not able to take Nandroid backup and user interface is also not good. While navigating in menu it is not smooth. Is is the same thing with you?

Removing them can make phone stuck in boot mode,to prevent this make a nandroid backup and keep it in sdcard and if anything goes wrong .atleast u can restore it

Ok. Fine but pls send across the link to download CWM recovery which will help me to take nandroid back correctly. I have gone through your other posts also wherein you have stated that you managed to installed JB rom on mmx a100. Following is the link. Can you provide me this ROM and will I be able to flash it using this CWM recovery without any issues.

When I did this, I had to ODIN the stock .tar file back on to fix it. I could still get into download mode, but not CWM
Go here and get ODIN(if you don't already have it)

I just switched over from iOS and found the guides on here were easy to follow and didn't have any issues . Getting the right downloads is probably the key
And what do you mean by "Phone will not fully boot after flashing a rom" How far does it go when booting and what happens?
Just boot screen doesn't fully boot

It is worth the trouble if...
A. You know what you are doing.
B. You read and research.
C. You know how to recover in the event something goes wrong.
Flashing isn't for everyone. Even if you follow directions things can still go wrong in rare situations. That's just the nature of flashing.

[Q] Please Help! Trouble with updating to Jellybean

Hello this is my first post and I come to request some help.
I have a htc one v and was trying to update to jelly bean through steps from Android Authorty's guide
After completing this set of instructions I booted up my phone and sadly all I got was a htc screen with the red writing which then turned black and nothing happened after that.
Im pretty worried right now, I dont have much knowledge about androids and I have but a clue as to what I have just done.
Is it permanently damaged? How do i fix this or atlest restore it to the factory state.
Please help!

as for the OP: make sure you also flash the KERNEL for the respective rom. it is not enough to install only the ROM. You need also the kernel because we currently have S-ON devices.

Did u flash the kernel at time of installing JB??

Hey i just tried to do this and got error while making backup image of /system
OK so i figured out that i am truly a noob.
I was attempting to install the CDMA version when i needed GSM.
Proud of myself for solving this i went to install the gsm version but sadly now i only get the htc screen with red writing.
It dosent change from there.
Have i done permanent damage because i installed the CDMA version!?
now im getting something really weird my phone goes to the htc screen with red writing then shuts off by itself and then turns on again by itself in a endless cycle of this red writing htc screen.

Alright... let's get your phone fixed!
I assume you have:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Installed a recovery
3. Installed a custom CDMA ROM
4. Then installed a GSM ROM
5. Now phone keeps rebooting?
Is that correct?

Take your sd card out and put it in a micro SD to SD adapter if your computer has a SD slot. B. Use another phone and put your SD card in that. C. Rule of thumb always make backup and if you did just go to restore and restore your saved ROM. D. Use Odin and restore that way YouTube a Qbking video about flashing threw Odin.

What is the version of CWM you are using?
Have you tried flashing a new or different recovery, like TWRP maybe?
What is the exact process you are using when the installation fails?
Go here and download TWRP 2.4.4.0 & CWM Touch 6.0.2.8 - place them on your external sd card via the above described method/s then try flashing the CWM recovery and then rebooting to recovery. Now try flashing a Stock ROM (make sure you're checking the MD5 to verify a good download) if that doesn't work then try the TWRP recovery, etc...

Try holding Volume Down, home, and the Power buttons. This will get you into download mode. Then Odin a stock TAR file using a method displayed in QBKing77's videos. Search around, you'll find something. If you're still unable to find anything after a while, give me about an hour and I'll help. Good luck!

Then I tried to apply Jelly Bean 4.2.2 Paranoid Android Custom ROM
Now the phone won't boot.
Tried recovery..
Still won't boot.
Please help

well for 4.2.2 roms u need a 4.2.2 kernel
and Paranoid Android 4.2.2 is not stable(doesnt boot even with kernel)
so if u want a working phone, flash A sense ROM since you're already on Titanium KISS kernel
and for jelly bean, u can try Shpongle
but remember to flash the correct kernel

I think I will have to remove the SD card and use another phone to transfer zip file to it.. ( I don't have Card reader)
Can you also point aout why system restore isn't working??
Sorry for all the question

+1 and read carefully ROMs and kernels threads... or at least OPs... and edit your post next time instead of writing next posts!
