When I did this, I had to ODIN the stock .tar file back on to fix it. I could still get into download mode, but not CWM
Go here and get ODIN(if you don't already have it)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722686
Go here for your stock ROM(I hope you remember which you were on)
EDIT - you're on a Canadian model, not sure if the stock file is the same as the AT&T version but if it is
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737848
When I did it, all my apps and everything was still there, but I had to redo the root and reinstall CWM again.

I just switched over from iOS and found the guides on here were easy to follow and didn't have any issues . Getting the right downloads is probably the key
And what do you mean by "Phone will not fully boot after flashing a rom" How far does it go when booting and what happens?
Just boot screen doesn't fully boot

It is worth the trouble if...
A. You know what you are doing.
B. You read and research.
C. You know how to recover in the event something goes wrong.
Flashing isn't for everyone. Even if you follow directions things can still go wrong in rare situations. That's just the nature of flashing.

Ok, This happened to me on my DHD, Try to fastboot a recovery and flash it. Use the one doomlord made then Flash. BUT before you do that make sure to have the update on your sdcard.

I followed these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20438599&postcount=1 I've never tried it with a pre-rooted ROM, so YMMV. Like I said I flashed this and started the root process over from scratch and this is what worked.

absolutely right:
adb shell su -c "idme bootmode 4000"
adb reboot
done
So I thought myself fairly competent with roms and such as this is my third smartphone and i've never had that many big errors before.
I used the universal root method and FreeGee and used stock with root for a few weeks, was good. Today I downloaded the CM 10.1 unofficial rom and the gapps and did a TWRP backup. I tried to copy it from my phone to my PC and USB HD using both Linux and Windows. Whenever it got to the data part it would error, I couldn't even rename it. As far as I know, this backup may be no good. I did this backup three full times, eventually using just boot, system and data.
I wiped data, system, cache and dalvik. I installed the CM10.1 rom and tried to boot. sticks on the LG boot screen. I can get into the recovery, tried to do the restore, said successful. Still sticks on the boot screen for LG.
Did I miss some step? At this point I'd be glad going back to stock.

I'm not sure where that is. Can you provide a link? Also I can get into Recovery/twrp. I am frustrated that CM won't install for me. I checked my TWRP backup folder, there is just data and system, and I need boot to restore that, right? So frustrated that the backup is bunk and CM won't install properly. I can't find any clear instructions on the process anywhere on the forums. Just wipe, install CM and then boot, right?

I had a backup of stock before root but when i tried to back up to it today it gave me a md5 mismatch so i couldnt back up to it. From what I seen in beaups thread that I need to be on a stock rom and stock kernal for his s-off method to work. Is there a stock rom that I could flash to use the s-off method?
I'd like this answered as well. I think andy's stock rom near the bottom of the page works, but I haven't had a confirmation yet. Also wondering if odex versus deodexed versions matter.
Same boat im in just waiting for somebody to say which one we can use when we are already rooted and unlocked. I dont know how my md5's mismatched on my stock before root backup but I can't go back to it so Im kinda stuck here until we get a answer.

SUPER MEGA ULTIMATE DISCLAIMER: IIRC = IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THIS DOESN'T WORK/SCREWS UP YOUR DEVICE/BRICKS/ETC. YOU ARE WARNED. THIS WORKED FOR ME IN THE PAST WITH MY GALAXY NEXUS BACKUPS USING CWMTOUCH 6.0.3.6 AND 6.0.4.3.

I HAVE NEVER USED TWRP FOR BACKUPS. IT IS A MERE SUGGESTION THAT THIS METHOD WILL WORK WITH SIMILAR RESULTS. I HAVE NEVER BROWSED A BACKUP FOR TWRP. ANY ATTEMPT YOU MAKE USING A TWRP BACKUP IS OF YOUR OWN COGNIZANCE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

IIRC: If you have an md5 mismatch while trying to restore in a recovery, try this process:
IF YOU HAVE A BACKUP I HIGHLY SUGGEST STORING THE BACKUP FILE ON YOUR DESKTOP JUST IN CASE!!!!
Boot into whatever ROM you're on ATM.
Browse to your ClockworkMod (or TWRP backup must have an accessible folder for it's backups) using a Root file explorer, which I happen to use "Root Explorer" and open the backup file you just made.
Inside of that will be a nandroid.md5.
Delete that file and reboot into recovery, and try restoring again.

Hey guys. I have a quick question, hopefully somebody can help me out. I tried to de-bloat my Galaxy Note 2 (T-mobile) thanks to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507931
After I used the script and my phone reseted, I got a message saying "Updating apps" or something like that, and it seemed to update about 150 apps. The point of the scripts on that thread are so all the bloatware that the phone brings can be eliminated, but after the update completes I still got all the bloatware there. Can anybody help me out with this please?

Debloater will remove the apps from /system. The problem is, if the apps were updated from the market, they will still reside in /data/app. You will also have to delete them from there.
I was trying to install viper4android and it got out of hand. i decided to factory reset then restore a backup i had made earlier, when i try to do this it says it failed and then It asks me if i want to install supersu but i already have it installed so i put no. Also when i try to reboot it says Set Warranty Bit: kernel on the top right. What can i do? everytime i try to reboot it gets stuck there. Also on a possibly unrelated note the backup was compressed when i made it, do i need to decompress the file?

It's kinda really hard to permanently brick these phones. As long as you can get to download mode you can usually get back with odin.
