Mirrors for kernels? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have noticed a lot of the files on this forum have broken links. I am trying to download doom's gb cdma kernel v02, Does anyone have a mirror? Does anyone have mirrors for any files? I would like to compile a site for all r800x files once i get enough, plus I would like to have them to use, thanks.

[Q] XPlay stock apks

I knew there was a thread which contained all the stocks apk download links for XPlay if you accidentally delete them. Can someone point me to it?
No good mate, the thread is still about but all the downloads are now dead links.
Pfft, then could someone upload fun&downloads apk please?
Here ya go
Which apk's do you need, I have the full stock system dump on my usb stick?
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
Unfortunately I would need most of them because when I deleted them I haven't wiped the data, so something like 100 MB data is still in my phone, having no idea which is from what.
What baseband are you on?

The link to the firmware is already available on the development forums. Download it and flash with flashtool if you're bootloader unlocked.

[Q] "Closing apps holding back button" Feature ?

DiXperia 2 ROM does not have this great feature...
Is there a way to make the ROM supports the feature like a flashable zip contains the feature to flash via recovery to get it ? I hope so :crying:
Nope.

They may not be developers, but they still have knowledge. If you want, you could ask a developer in one of their threads

OK thanks all. Now I have 2 reasons to change DiXperia 2 ROM
1)It is vulnerable.
2)It does not support the feature.
Vulnerable? I don't think there are many ROMs that have the feature though I may be mistaken

Actually, me and sdojoin are kinda devs.

Yes I scanned my R800i for vulnerabilities with X-Ray and the result shows my device is vulnerable to "Gingerbreak". I think it is DiXperia 2 related.
I will search for a ROM that does have the feature and use it.
Your Rom is vulnerable to Gingerbreak?
Gingerbreak is what you use to root your phone if I'm not mistaken..
Someone posted a flashable .zip that apparently contained this mod, and a few others within it, a while back
Never tried it so dont know if it worked

Yesterday, I installed this rooted ROM [ROM] [Unlocked Bootloaders] Stock ICS Xperia Play 4.1.B.0.587 Final and I've scanned it with the app and the result says that my device is patched.
I think some of rooting ways make device vulnerable.

Unpack boot.img aka kernel and repack to ftf /sin(Q)

I unlocked via test point so I don't have fastboot . Aka I need to flash via flashmode . So I will need .ftf .sin does anyone know how I could unpack the boot.im g and repack to ftf and sin? I believe I need zimage and ramdisk.cpio.gz to do this from the image I used rom kitchen and it gave me split image and a ram disk file tried it with a packer but it didn't work. Any help would rock I thought of putting this in q and a but I thought this would be more appropriate since it is a development oriented question.
