Unpack boot.img aka kernel and repack to ftf /sin(Q) - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I unlocked via test point so I don't have fastboot . Aka I need to flash via flashmode . So I will need .ftf .sin does anyone know how I could unpack the boot.im g and repack to ftf and sin? I believe I need zimage and ramdisk.cpio.gz to do this from the image I used rom kitchen and it gave me split image and a ram disk file tried it with a packer but it didn't work. Any help would rock I thought of putting this in q and a but I thought this would be more appropriate since it is a development oriented question.

The link to the firmware is already available on the development forums. Download it and flash with flashtool if you're bootloader unlocked.

Not that simple... Just follow the guide takes 15min...
No flashable zips of stock. You need to use the lgflashtool. It is not that hard if you follow instructions.
There is a flashable zip but you need to be on stock for it to work. Do some searching and reading.

So I'm at the part where I have to right click on the LGE980_20130314_LGFLASHv151.rar file and install/register it..when I click on register it says the module "c:\LG electronics\LGNP…\LGE980_20130314_LGFLASHv151.rar" may not be compatible with the version of windows that you're running. Check if the module is compatible with an x86(32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of regsvr32.exe. So now I'm really confused lol

Cause your not following the guide. You DONT register the DLL file. You use the DLL file within the Flashtool

What do you want to do with it?
If you're serious with it, you should visit the Android general and dev sections and read at least 10 post about it before asking in a device-specific section.
