You probably can't. On windows there is a program called recuva. You can try bit but since it was a partition formatting i doubt you will get anywhere... Sorry pal

If you have a way of mounting it to your computer you can probably recover most data. Some may be corrupted or there may be issues where you've already overwritten it so it won't be 100%.
But this app is the one I use for all my data recovery at work: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

hi guys,
I'm in trouble again,
does anyone know how to get rid of the goldcard patched on sd?
Just format it.

I dont understand why you want the Goldcard patch removed..............both of my SD cards are Goldcards and both work perfectly........even with DATA2SD

My SD cards are class 4 cards of 8GB and 2GB............and i have had NO PROBLEMS whatsoever..........i made them into goldcards before i unlocked my bootloaders, during the times the DIAG files were are trend in our forums.......
You have the option to format but i advise you not to do so as the goldcard has not that much effect on the efficiency of your SDcard
I went through the gold card process again this time everything works just fine

Right I thought it was for one v sry,but I wanna ask you do u know a thread for sd card partition to expand internal storage??

the internal storage for app installation is quite big in our device, if you are pertaining to the [HTC Storage] partition as a depository for your personal files, i'd suggest getting a good external sd card as partitioning the internal sd card might be risky.
I have a 16gb external card

i tried teamwin recovery and, result is same... i do not know excatly but maybe it can be about kernel or sd card itself? just an idea..
It's not cwm bug. It's just that your memory is low or close. Delete some files it will work.

Ok, i recently rooted and flashed cm7 on my HTC wildfire and now i am getting this problem.
I went to settings > manage apps > all
And almost all downloaded apps are on sd-card. Then where is 150mb internal memory being used?
Can anyone help?

Flash a recovery and partition your SD card. 4ext is the best one out there.

Thanks for reply I have flashed recovery with 4ext recovery but haven't partitioned SD card yet would I need to for mildwild 5.8?? Cheers

Pretty much for every ROM.
Make 1gb ext3/4 partition with 4ext recovery and you're set.

Some roms require special hboot.

Will making a partition wipe the SD card using 4ext?
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Yes, partitioning does destroy all your data.
Ok so I need to back up SD card to my netbook and then create 1 partition using 4ext and then just put all my data back on sdcard?? Am I right?? And the size of the partition 1gb??? Cheers

Right. Partition can be 1-1.5GB ext4 and rest fat32. Skip all other secondary partitions.

Not necessarily. You can use something like gparted on Linux (or Partition Magic on Windows) to resize your FAT32 partition non-destructively.
