Generic Allwinner A13 tablet ADB problems - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Right so I got this cheap Tablet for a friends birthday, He's not one for tinkering and his girlfriend who I picked it up for asked me to get it set-up ready for him to just use as a net surfer/occasional game device/Media slate.
Before I start, I have USB Debugging on, Unknown Sources etc all turned on.

I wanted to root the device, remove some of the pre-installed bloatware and just all-in-all tidy it up a little. After doing some research I discovered a thread containing "Generic A13 Tablet rooting" or something of that nature.. The first indication that there could be a problem with it was when installing all but "Android Device" driver was installed. I unplugged, uninstalled and basically tried everything including the PDAnet program.. I then discovered a link which had a driver to install. This appeared to have worked.
The PDANet program finished installing and never asked what Device I had..??
I brushed this to one side and checked ADB Devices; This just showed me the following.
Code:
ADB Devices
List of Devices;
There are no devices showing, I then thought Oh maybe its ADB.. I checked my Nexus, HTC Wildfire and my XPERIA Play, They all show up.
I then followed the guide to root the device using Doomlords Xperia Rooter, it starts.. and hangs at "Waiting for Devices".
I have been trying to do this for about an hour or two and I'm getting no-where fast.. Help!
Its an Allwinner A13 Tablet (with HDMI) also known as the Q88 A13 with HDMI

[Q] LOOP_SET_FD failed: Device or resource busy

First of, jump down to the red dotted line for what i need help with, the text above just explains root method, phone and programs i have installed.
Thanks for taking the time.
I have been searching and reading up on every problem I've had so far in the install, i have come to a dead end and i need to get pushed a step further, i need help.
I am installing BT5 ARM on my Note 2 N7100.
Whatever the reason, i grew up with BT and i have my reasons why i want it on my phone (if i wanted to crack someone i would have just used my BT on USB, i have a lot of different things like this mostly for nostalgia)
I have a Note 2 N7100 with android 4.1.2
I rooted my phone using METHOD 2 in this thread (Odin307)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143479
I have SuperSU BusyBox and AndroidVNC
All installed and working as they should.

Now it gets wierd.
On Terminal Emulator i grant SU and go into the BT5 folder and boot the "bootbt" file.
"ioctl LOOP_SET_FD failed: Device or resource busy"
I am not a linux expert, I am what you will call an experienced n00b :good:
I was up LATE last night and i figured out something i cant remember now.
It was something about if my device had "loop 1-2-3-4 etc" enabled?
AND that i might need an modified "bootbt" file ?
I am so stuck and I have been staring in the eyes of this problem for so long i have gone blind.
Help me see.
Thank you.
I have the same problem on my samsung s5
good to know
you need custom kernel, as stock doesn't support it

[Q] Galaxy Nexus Bricked (?)

Hi everyone, my Galaxy Nexus in a benchmark test with Antutu just hung up and started to reboot, freezing the screen. I went into the bootloader, and the same thing happened there. Here's a list of what I did to try to fix:
Reset - did not work.
Flashing custom rom - freezes before installing
By Restore backup - freezes before restoring
Odin - unsuccessfully
So I tried to install something through the Galaxy Nexus Toolkit, but the computer identifies as Unknown Device, at least most of the time.
2 times was labeled bootloader interface, after many attempts, but the program does not correctly identified, appeared several?????.
It took the technician, he said it looked like some "cutting board on track," or something.
I need to take the assistance, but before that lock the bootloader and uninstall cwm but I do not see any way to do it. Does anyone have any idea?
That s what happens to him:

(TIPS) Rooting!

Hey guys, I just wanted to post something that might help out some people, in case perhaps their USB Drivers don't work, or they can't get odin to recognize their device.
Note: I do not claim these to be definite answers. These are just things I have discovered to work.
1.) My computer won't recognize my phone! What do I do?
A.) Try this. Download the USB drivers from (possibly) another post here on XDA, or install the Samsung Kies application.
Then, get an application to extract the driver software, such as uniextract.
Extract the installer to a directory of your choice: (For simplicity, I say Desktop)

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then, go into Control Panel>Device Manager
Go to your device; It might be listed as "Unknown" and right click it.
Go to "Update Driver Software" and then click "Browse my computer"
Locate the Directory you extracted the installer to, and then click "Next"
wait for it to finish, then you're done!
Note! If it does this again, your device may show up as a modem. If so, just recreate the steps, and it will work.
2.) Odin doesn't show my device!
A.) If you just got done doing the steps above, you need to restart your computer. If not, check to make sure your phone is in Download mode. If still it does not recognize it, make sure you have "USB debugging" enabled in developer settings.
ATM, these were the only things I kept getting stuck at; if you have any more info on how we could help out some of the noobs (like me),
please reply!
Thanks!
NOTE! I forgot to mention, taht if you had previously installed drivers, YOU HAVE TO UNINSTALL THOSE! Otherwise, it will not work.

HTC Sync manager upgrade phone message

I get this message, with the same version number, every time I open HTC sync manager (all 4 times, I just installed it for the first time a couple of hours ago)
The first time, I ran the update and it definitely flashed something to my phone. (was in recovery mode flashing for a few minutes).
After it booted back up, the phone behaved sluggish as typical with a software update, but when I went to settings, there were no version changes of Android or of the firmware version. So far I can't find anything different, but there was a lengthy download and flashing process.
Also, I checked for updates via the phone settings yesterday and also today as soon as I saw the upgrade notification, and it reported no updates available.
(unfortunately, I didn't think to check appdata\local\temp until it was done, and there was nothing in there that would have been the size to match the lengthy download time at 5MB/s)
Anyone else seen this or have any thoughts?
My initial thinking is that the HTC Sync manager software is a p.o.s., but it's the only way I've been able to transfer files to/from the phone on either Windows 10 or Linux Mint 17. (Thanks HTC )
I have this same update. I tried once and got stuck on a HTC flash screen. Havent tried since as im trying to root the device. not download anymore of verizons security scams.

Fastboot Flash Failed

Device: Moto G6 Play (XT1922-2) from the UK
While using the device, it suddenly got really hot and then turned off, tried restarting it, after it cooled down a bit, but in vain.
When turned on again, the "Startup Failed" screen appears. I tried Motorola's "Rescue and Smart assistant" to solve the problem and followed the procedure. While fastboot was being flashed, it stuck on 67% and then it said "Fastboot flash failed".
Tried again, but every time there were different new messages (sometimes the device was not recognised, sometimes says "Model name missing" etc).
I then did a bit of research online and the general gist I got is to reinstall AndroidOS with Minimal ADB.
I'm just unsure which method to use as there are several methods for several versions (e.g. there are several XT****-*s). Also, I'm not sure because youtube demonstrators were using working devices and the screen of my device is very different than the others (Neither the green Android Bot nor I could use the volume up/down button to access modes)
Please excuse my lack of technical ability and I hope I could explain the whole scenario. I am also new to XDA so excuse the lack of general tradition on this site.
Now, the question I want to ask is this: If it is possible to unbrick (I'm thinking it got bricked), if so how? Also, does it matter which stock firmware is installed? (Like what's the difference between XT1922-2 and XY1922-7 for example, just curious) Also, the device doesn't power up anymore. The screens only appear when micro-USB is connected.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hello sir
Have been trying to use Rescue and Smart assistant" to solve the problem and followed the procedure. While fastboot was being flashed, it stuck on 67% and then it said "Fastboot flash failed".
Tried again, pls what can I do?
