[Q] Problems getting KF back to life - Kindle Fire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My old Kindle Fire broke (stopped charging) and I got Amazon to replace it (was able to revert back to stock). So, I got a refurbished replacement yesterday. I rooted it and tried to install Google Play using the KF utility, but something got messed up. Cannot boot into the OS anymore. TWRP is installed.
I tried to wipe the cache and then install a custom rom to avoid dealing with the KF OS, but apparently the system partition had issues - it always failed to format the cache partition. I did wipe all cache, did a factory reset and wiped the system and now formatting the cache partition works.
So, I download a custom ROM, mounted the Fire, and then from TWRP tried to flash the custom ROM. I starts fine, but then after 1 hour it is still sitting there saying it is installing. I tried several ROMs, but all ROMs never complete.
So, my Kindle Fire has TWRP (2.4.4.0) installed and functioning, no OS on the system right, but I am unable to install anything. When I check the Bootloader status it shows 4000.
Any ideas?

So I flashed gedeROM, but I still liked the stock better, so I went back to restore. I did a factory reset(TWRP,Wipe), wiped the cache and dalvik's cache. Then I did a restore. When it was restoring, it just went to TWRP screen(where it says Team Win with a blue backround). So I rebooted and All that happens is that it tries to boot, turn off, turns on, and tries to boot again. I am going to try to put my restore back on because I already used it yesterday and it worked fine, so either it got copied to my Kindle wrong or its the gedeROM. Any advice. The quick answers I need is, if I flash the 6.3.1 update.zip, will it delete my SD Card?
EDIT: It turns on to the fff. I choose normal boot. Then it says booting. And then it turns off. and it keep on doing this.

Flashing 6.3.1 will only touch the bootloader, recovery, boot, and system partitions.
maybe you should try gederom a new version just came out and netflix works!

Fire Brick Issue

Hello all,
Yesterday I tried to do a fresh install of the stock software coming from AOKP ICS Rom. It says everything went fine in twrp. I also wiped the cache and delvik cache before the flash of the new software. When I rebooted the fire from twrp, I get the stock Kindle Fire boot logo, and its bright light its supposed to be. But then it dims down barely visible in the daylight and hangs there. It is non responsive. It does show up in device manager. I have tried using the Kindle Fire utility and it sees the fire, and when I tell it to go into fastboot mode the fire will reboot once and does the same thing. Hangs at the dim boot logo. I have tried the unbrick software for kindle fire and always gets the the point "waiting for device" and hangs. On the Kindle fire unbrick, If I choose the Stuck at logo option I get 2 error lines. they both say - exec '/system/bin/sh' failed: No such file or directory (2) -"
these 2 lines are followed by Congrats, you kindle fire should be unbricked, but nothing changes. Let me know what my other options are. I have tried to re-root the device and its unresponsive.
Thanks,
Nick
I should add that if I put adb devices into command prompt it does show up.
Well your buggered you should have done a full wipe factory reset cache dalvik and system before flashing stock now its stuck trying to restore the data that you should have wiped no fff no recovery which now you need to fix it so your best bet is fire kit or a factory cable to fast boot flash a new boot loader and twrp

I figured that the factory cable was the only solutions. I tried the fire kit already. I have contacted and ordered a factory cable from ScOrPn. I will follow up with results.
FIXED!
Factory cable did it. I wish I would have owned one of these the whole time I have been using the fire. Thanks again everyone for the input.
Must've missed the than button

KF2 keeps booting into TWRP.

Hello all. I got CM11 installed on my kindle (finally). I installed 'SuperSU' from the Play store and it prompted me to install something. It rebooted into TWRP and I cannot get it out. I've done every single wipe, reset, or erase available in TWRP. I've reinstalled CM11 multiple times, without any effect.

Factory Reset Problems after Unresponsive Device

Guys,
Need a little help:
My OP3 worked fine for over a month (with 3.2.2, Rooted and with latest TWRP only) and then suddenly went unresponsive i.e., screen frozen. When I restarted the device, it stuck on boot animation. I tried to restored a week old nandroid backup and it stuck at restoring system partition and then... ERROR 7. I tried the factory reset and got the same result... ERROR 7. I tried flashing the from the scratch as well as formatting all partition, still no luck and ERROR 7 persisted.
I switched to OP3 recovery and wiped data and cache and the wiping worked but... when i tried to push the rom, it didn't work and it was stuck. i flashed twrp again and tried sideload, still no luck, it got stuck at 4%. I did a wipe again and tried to restore the old backup and the restore simply got stuck (no error - i waited for 30 mins).
So, my question is two part (before i send the device back to OnePlus): any idea what is going on and how can i fix it? and is there any other way i can try to do an absolutely clean install of rom and try if that works?
Thanks,
Answering my own question: device sent to OnePlus and the issue was identified as faulty motherboard.

Ran a LaunchManager and now can't boot

First, the APK was "LM (FOS).APK"
Right after I ran it, it hung. After that, I couldn't get it to boot. Tried everything, including wiping data.
Fast forward to today: Still stuck at white "fire tv" logo with 3 dots moving on the lower right.
I have flashed 6.2.6.8, 6.2.7.1 all with no succuss.
Then reran kamakiri from the first step.
Still nothing beyond the white 'fire tv' logo.
Is there any hope for this?
I would have to say, the only thing it doesn't want to do is finish the boot, otherwise, it's flashing everything I throw at it.
Did you also wipe dalvik when you wiped data in TWRP? If not, boot back into TWRP and wipe dalvik and data, see if that helps.
Give it a few minutes when you get to the white logo, first time setup takes extra time over a regular boot.
I've wiped dalvik, data, factory reset so many times that I'm sure it's not the issue.
Just tried kamakiri again, still stuck.
Also, I flashed rbox's 6.2.8.1_r3 just to give something else a shot.
Where is a pure Amazon stock rom for the 4K/mantis? I'd like to see if it will ever boot up again.
Bone stick 6.2.6.8 to boot up helped. Went to 6.2.6.8 patched right after it booted. All is good now
