Hi Guys,
I initially posted this the other day, but didn't actually have my phone to hand. I now have it! So please help!
"Hi guys, I'm at my wits-end.
I thought I'd be clever and try to root my One X CID_001.
Managed to unlock the bootloader and install CWM recovery, and then done some other things which I can't remember. At some point, it's all gone horribly wrong. It's now stuck at the bootlogo. My computer can see it when it's plugged in, but on CMD it says device not found. Tried using HTC One X All in one rooting kit. No luck. Tried doing it manually. No luck. Gave it to a friend who's in to all that (rooted numerous devices including his One X) and finally sent it off to Phones4U. The device actually stopped powering up, so I was hoping they'd just replace it for me, and not see I'd screwed around with it. Didn't work, they saw it, and wanted to charge me £135 to repair it. I'm not going to pay that for something I should be able to do myself within minutes!
So, can anybody help me, step-by-step, once I've got it back and I'm sat down at the 'puter?
Thanks guys!
Dan"

Ok... This is interesting... I've worked on MANY Evo's over the past almost year and i've NEVER had an issue like this... I was trying to completely return an Evo to stock to try and fix an issue it was having with rebooting like every few minutes... I reverted once using:
RUU_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.26.651.6_Radio_2.15.00.07.28_NV_1.40_release_140444_signed.exe
After which it would only boot into bootloader mode... Nothing else... So... Using Fastboot I then flashed this RUU:
RUU_Supersonic_1.32.651.1_Radio_1.39.00.04.26_release_171253.exe
It got almost to the end and then crapped out while flashing... Then after boot this time it booted with a screen that showed HTC in the middle of the screen with the little triangles around the four corners of the screen... Ok... That flash didn't take... So... For one last try I tried to flash:
RUU_SuperSonic_S_Sprint_WWE_3.70.651.1_Radio_2.15.00.11.19_NV_1.90_release_161482_signed.exe
Got to the end again... Did not flash all the way... Now the Evo will not turn on... Will not charge... Nothing... I've even swapped the battery with a known good charged battery, and nothing... Will not respond in anyway shape or form... My question... Has ANYONE had an issue such as this? Because I haven't... And I'm pretty sure it's BRICKED at this point... But... I figured I would ask and see if anyone could recommend something... Anything...
Thank you in advance for any USEFUL information on the subject...

Sorry my friend, nothing will bring it back.... take it to sprint, if they can't boot it they can't tell you are rooted or have/had s-off
.........at 8 am today someone poisons the coffee....do not drink the coffee. More instructions will follow.
Cordially,
Future Dwight
Thanks guys... That is kinda what I was thinking... I've probably worked on dang near close to 50 evo's... And I've never seen one do this... It kinda boggles me to how or why this happened... Something tells me that there was obviously a hardware problem that I was trying to fix with software updates, and the Evo had a different point of view like "Hey... F U Buddy... I'm BROKE!" But anyway... I do appreciate the feedback, even though it's bad news...
Hello, I'm sorry to be posting on a matter like this, but can someone please help me?
Before you read, let me clarify a few things: I am not a noob when it comes to the rooting scene. I'm an avid Linux user, and I know most of the key commands, I've rooted both my HTC Magic and HTC Dream without using a one-click app like SuperOneClick or Z4Root, I did it all from scratch. I'm well aware of the dangers that come with rooting, and I always take special precautions when it comes to flashing certain stuff. The only custom ROMs I've used are Virtuous and Cyanogenmod.
I've had my G2 for a little less than a full month. I perma-rooted it, I got S-OFF on it, and all that stuff. Today, I was attempting to unroot my G2 using theunlockr's tutorial, however after i finished entering the last mmcblk0p17 command, and I turned the device off, I accidentally tripped on the charging cord, and it came off. The charging LED still was orange even though the cable wasn't connected.
When I tried turning the phone on into HBoot mode, it wouldn't boot up.
When I tried turning on the device regularly, it's not turning on either.
I tried a few battery pulls, and I left the device untouched for a few hours, and still nothing. Is there a chance I bricked my device? Or is it one of the G2's many dysfunctions that I've read about on the community forums when I was searching for a solution to my problems.
All help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

Sounds like you bricked it if something happened while it was writing to a partition.
Really? so there's nothing I can do?

I wonder why it won't turn on though. I kind of did the same thing but I had my battery fully charged. I guess since it won't turn on am guessing that something happened during the flashing of stock Rom process but still you should still be able to power up your phone. Did it drop when you triped?

Uh, care to help me out?
In this situation, I would try all that stuff again. If still no luck.. call T-Mobile and play dumb. If the phone is bricked, that's your only recourse and it does work most of the time. GL.
Try pluging the charger for a while and then try to turn it on

Thanks for the advice.
I'm getting my HTC Vision replaced in a few days, after an hour with some ghetto-ass customer service lady
While we're on the topic, does anyone care to explain to me what a "rassclot" and a "battymon" is? because after i was done with customer service, the lady called me a rassclot battymon.
I'm sure I can get T-Mo in hot water for this.

HTC G2 won't turn on after changing battery! Tried everything!!
Nevermind this post. Sorry for the spam.
Hi guys,
A friend of mine bought his HTC One X a couple of months ago and hasn't done anything to it, it's completely stock.
A couple of nights ago he said he was in the browser, all of a sudden the phone rebooted, loaded back up to the homescreen and then powered off.
Since then he hasn't been able to get it to boot or charge, and has now given it to me to try and fix.
It's been on charge overnight for around 9 hours and there is still no response in terms of leds flashing ect.
I've had a search and the issue has been seen before but not often.
Is there anything you would suggest trying? What would HTC do if this device was sent back, ie is there a 'download mode' for the One X or something similar, that HTC would force the device to boot into?
Thanks!
Should be under warranty if it rooted shouldn't it?

Absolutely right! However HTC have told him it'll take 3+ weeks to get back to him and he's wanting me to try and fix it without going through them..
Bump - Any suggestions?
Have you tried reading this : Wiki
Or maybe this : Disaster recovery
I'm not sure if they'll be useful in your case but you never now.

Anything you will do requires the phone to be unlocked with a custom recovery installed. This procedure is irreversible since the current LOCKED status will change at best to RELOCKED which will cause you a lot of headache later with HTC support. My advice send it to support without touching it.

I have a problem (not me actually but a friend who asked me for help). Phone does not bot up, but stops at the first HTC logo. Phone supposed to work properly until got wet in a backpack. Warranty does not cover such damage. At this time, you can run it in recovery mode, but nothing else. I added the screenshots from recovery. Do you have any proposal what to do with it?
I'd appreciate a step-by-step.

i was just reading the post you have directed me to Have no time to check everything right now, but i will and post everything here (or in the thread you have directed me to if you prefer). All i know right now i the phone was not rooted. Was workin until it got wet. It is charging, safe mode (powering + S) don't work; don't know about adb.
No problem, ill try to help when you get a chance to go thrugh the thread. Water damage can be brutal, but not always. If you don't mind post in the other thread that would be great. I'm trying to keep as much together as possible so people can only have to search in one place for their answers

So, here's my situation:
I have a HTC One X that is currently on Straight Talk.
Since Straight Talk doesn't push updates through the BYOP program, I called ATT and asked them what I can do to get the JB 4.1 update.
They told me to get it off the HTC website and do it myself and stuff like that.
So, downloaded HTC Sync Manager, ROM, everything.
Ran the ROM, it installed, everything was lookin' sexy.
Well, everything was working very sexy as well until my phone randomly reboot.
I was like dafuq, thought it must have been a tiny glitch, so didn't pay that much attention to it, until it reboot randomly again 10 minutes later.
This time, however, it didn't get past the ATT logo, and it reboot again. I tried getting it into bootloader, did that, and wiped the phone through bootloader.
Everythin' going dandy, then another random Reboot.
HOWEVER, this time it was just stuck at the HTC logo, and then turned off. Unresponsive. Zero. Nada.
Soooooo. now I have a HTC One X, that's unresponsive, as if the battery is completely dead.
THING IS THOUGH: When I plug it into my computer, it does the ba-dum sound, followed by a da-da-da right after.
Checked DM, apparently it's QHSUSB_LOAD now with an Error 28.
I read on other forums that apparently you have to have S-off to do even a normal update?
How come HTC didn't have it on their website?
It didn't say sh*t on installation windows either about having s-off.
Kinda like someone giving you cake and saying "Oh yeah lol, I **** in there"
Phone is bricked, no doubt, looking for a JTag around my town and Craigslist atm as well, but just wondering, is there anything else that it could be?
I'm 19 and I'm desperate to have my NoLifePartner One X back.
kthxgaiz<3
Wrong forum mate, you need the at&t one x forum, this is for the international tegra 3 one x, known as the endeavouru. Anything you flash or any guides you use in this forum will give you problems
