Is there a specific app/util to see exactly what might be keeping my phone awake? I once was lucky and un-installed Weather channels app which stopped it but now it's happening again and cutting my battery life in half again
Try something like BetterBatteryStats. It will show you wakelocks and such.
Thnx, I also found one called Wakelock detector

I'm having a lot of wakelocks. While this isn't destroying my battery, I'm just trying to find out what is keeping my phone from being in sleep.
Running Task's AOKP with Ktoonse'z kernel updated to latest.
I don't know how to read Better battery stats so where are some screen shots. Any help is appreciated. I'm wondering if it is google maps that is destroying my battery personally.
That Signal Collector for Maps looks suspicious to me. You may want to check out your location settings in Maps. If you have your phone set to report location, it can rack up some wakelocks. Make sure that you're not signed in to Latitude, also.

I unchecked automatically report your location from this device. I will see how that goes.

What is Power Manager Service and deleted wake locks that is keeping my phone awake. Running KT747 Linux 3.4 Jellybean 4.2 4/19 build.
It also says Google Maps kept my phone awake for over an hour and messaging kept my phone awake for 3+ hrs too..
I only got 23hrs on a charge on my extended battery. What's going on!!??

In maps, you can go into settings/locations, and uncheck all that stuff that lets google monitor your location while you're phone sleeps, this resolved my maps wake lock issue, not sure about the SMS one.

Tap the little orange icon to the right. It will take you to the browser and explain what power manager is. It's likely due to push notifications. You can check what's doing this under partial wakelocks.

Do you have active monitoring enabled in better battery stats? When I had that turned on, that was giving me the most wakelocks due to power manager service.

How ironic would it be if Better Battery Stats was the cause of worse battery life lol... but anyways I did what Luigi suggested and got this:

BBS doesn't consume much battery at all compared to others, unless of course if you have the app actively monitoring but the option should be Unchecked by default.
Also, as the page to the link states, in order to resolve any of the wakelocks causing the PowerManagerService issue you must "Use "Partial Wakelocks" to drill down the applications / services causing wakelocks".

This is a great resource on wakelocks and hopefully will give you some insight. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38624157

I go to school with my GNex and occasionally look at the screen at times but I think my battery drain is in called for. I started school at 8 and came home at 4 and I'm at 67%. I even have the 3850nah hyperion battery installed. Right now I'm running xylim ROM nightlies with ask kernel skl 225

After you reflash ROMs, do you use some restore program such as Titanium Backup?

Nope I let Google do all the work

Might be an app keeping it awake
edit: use wakelock detector from market to check
Use wakelock detector from the play store to find out which app is keeping your phone awake.
Since you already have Better Battery Stats installed you could just have a look at the list of partial wake locks (click on 'other').
And you should also check whether or not your 3rd party battery actually has 3850mah. I just did a quick search but there seems to be some scam going on with hyperion batteries (it was a really quick search).
I've been seeing some problems with my battery, specifically deep sleep.
It just keeps waking up and never really sleeps. Screen doesn't turn on, but there is some sort of lock. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Try running Wakelock Detector to see what is causing it not to sleep and using Titanium Backup to freeze whatever it is, see if that solves your problem - if it does, either remove it or selectively freeze and unfreeze using TiBu.
I'm guessing at least some of it is your apps automatically syncing.
You really do need to provide a bit more info though. How bout a screenshot of the main battery screen, and tell us the total screen on time.
Better Battery Stats may help you out as well.

I'll try the wake lock detector. This is another screen shot from the same battery life. Now down to 6%. Screen tube is around 1 hr 50 minutes. The last post of the photo is cut off but it's maps amd media servers.

The last couple days.. My phone has been acting up when it comes to battery life. First, it charged up to 49% and then got really hot and didn't charge past 48% until I unplug it and shoot it gown?
Second, my phone charged up to 100% so I unplugged it when o woke up in the middle of the night. When I woke up this morning.... It was hot and at 30%. This was only 3 hours. I'm stock rooted... I think it was the YouTube app but idk.

Ok so...I meant "cool it down". I was half sleep when I posted this. But nonetheless, ever since the YouTube app started acting up and FC'ing and stuff, my phone has been acting up. I uninstalled the latest update and I'll let you guys know what happens unless you have an idea now.

What kernel are you using?
Make sure eco mode is on and mp is off

It could be the youtube app, sometimes apps do act up and will continue running/draining your battery. Do you use wakelock detector? It will show you want is running and keeping your cpu from sleeping. If youtube is the culprit - download greenify and force it to hibernate when not in use. Wakelock detector and greenify are both free apps you can find in the play store.
If that doesn't work it may be a hardware issue or kernel issue(as stated above). But checking your wakelocks and controlling them with greenify should be your first step.
