[Q] Can't play music - HTC One V

Hey all,
I have a HTC One V with the following 'things':
Android Version: 4.1.2
Kernel: 3.0.16-Titanium-KISS-USB [email protected] #201210112240 Thu Oct 11 22:40:06 CEST 2012
AOKP version: aokp_primou_unofficial_Jan-15-13
Build number: aokp_primou-userdebug 4.1.2 JZO54K eng.gannon5197.20130115.191553 test-keys
I have the following problem:
When I try to play music (from Google Play Music), it says it isn't possible.
The app recognizes the songs, but is unable to play them. The weird thing is, that they're just .mp3 formats which I added to my SD-card via my USB-cable.
Also, when I try to view a YouTube video via the YouTube app, I get the same problem, unable to play.
Is this problem caused by the ROM/other stuff and how to fix?
Thanks!

I have the same problem with paranoid , it's a rom problem so just wait for a new build

Keep waiting for a stable and working release of PA.. It's gonna be awesome!!!

Of course it will

Okay, I'll wait. Thanks!

[Q] Xperia arc doesn't vibrate with CyanogenMod 9.1

hi guys,
about 2 days ago, i installed Cyanogenmod 9.1 on my SE Xperia arc LT15i Android 4.0.4
everything works perfect, except for one thing, which is extremely annoying.
whenever i get called, or get a whatsapp message or something, it just doesn't vibrate.
i checked every setting and it should vibrate but it simply won't.
does anyone of you have the same problem, or knows a solution?
extra information (don't know if it is necessary)
baseband version 8x55A-AAAQOAZM-203028G-77
kernel version 1.6.32.9-FXP [email protected] #1
Cyanogenmod version 9.1.0-anzu (stable version)
build number cm_anzu-userdebug 4.0.4 IMM76 L eng. .20120828.134723 test-keys
help would be appreciated
thx
Riyge
Hmm.. Open up you're notifications bar > toggle sound until it gets to vibration (you should feel a vibration/hear phone have a vibration)
or simply re-flash the ROM or use CM9.

[Q] New Nexus Problem

Hey guys! First off i just wanted to say hi to my fellow nexus owners. I just got mine today and i can't wait to start using it. Here's the problem. When i bought the Nexus the previous owner upgraded it to 4.1.2 since it was rooted. The issue with what he did is that there is no google account on my phone. This means no google play, gmail, google waller etc. To make it worse i went to the rooting app (super Use I think?) and clicked unroot. I thought it would unroot my phone and all the google related apps would come back. They didn't and i deleted the rooting app I am now stuck with a rooted phone with no rooting app and i can't get any apps including marketplace. I know i'm supposed to flash a rom that will have google but the problem is that all the tutorials ask to make sure you have one of the 10 - 15 build numbers and phone models the phones come with. But my phone doesn't have them because it was rooted. What do i do?
Baseband Version:

Kernel Version:

do you have any basic flashing skills? and which carrier?
I have the basic skills. I've did it on my old galaxy ace. But when i did it everything was on the factory defaults. I'm worried i might mess up because he already rooted and flashed a rom on the phone. I just need some instructions on what i should do first. I was thinking i should re-root my phone and then just apply another, more reliable rom. Maybe the 4.1.1. Another problem is that on the tool kit there is no option for 4.1.2 and the weird build number i have.

Just return the device to factory settings by flashing the Google images. I'd never trust the firmware that someone else put on a phone.

Your main problem is that your android is way to old : Android 2.3.3 GingerBread which has long been abandoned by Google (So you don't even have a functioning Play to install apps)
I would point in this direction :
[ROM] [NIGHTLY] [KitKat] [4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 nightlies by milaq
This is based on the latest builds of Android 4.4 Kitkat which is the oldest still patched by Google, build with Lineage OS 11.
There's a link for a functional Google Play in this post.
Please pay attention that, for this to work, you need a ClockWorkMod more recent than 6.0.4.5 (you cannot successfully install it with older version), there is a link to 6.0.5.0 in this post.
Remember to also wipe everything (Cache, Data, etc.) after the first upgrade to LineageOS 11.0
(The installation of ClockWorkMod itself requires a rooted phone with "S-OFF" - with the Desire Z's equivalent of signature check turned off).
(And the rooting itself requires an exploit that exists only on older versions of android, so you would need to downgrade using a Glodcard - an SD card with a signed CID in its boot sector).
Alternatively, if you DO want to stick with such an old Android version (which might be full of exploitable bugs) you might try to manually download the APK of "Facebook Lite" (a low-requirement version of the App that Facebook has specially developed for 3rd world countries) from places such as APKmirror.

[Q][Help] ROM recommendation (BEST FIT)

Hello guys,
A few days ago I've found my old M8 in a drawer. I thought that I might revive him with a new custom ROM that will fit my needs.
I'm planning to use this phone only in the car. I still have to decide if I will use it with a SIM card or I will set up a Hot Spot from my main phone.
The ROM that will best fit my needs:
GPS Navigation - Waze/Google Maps
Music - Youtube/Spotify
I don't need phone calls, sms, whatsapp, camera or anything else.
My phone runs on:
Android Version: 6.0
Htc Sense Version: 7.0
Kernel Version: [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
PS: I also need a tutorial/how to set up the new ROM.
Best regards!
