hi guys,
about 2 days ago, i installed Cyanogenmod 9.1 on my SE Xperia arc LT15i Android 4.0.4
everything works perfect, except for one thing, which is extremely annoying.
whenever i get called, or get a whatsapp message or something, it just doesn't vibrate.
i checked every setting and it should vibrate but it simply won't.
does anyone of you have the same problem, or knows a solution?
extra information (don't know if it is necessary)
baseband version 8x55A-AAAQOAZM-203028G-77
kernel version 1.6.32.9-FXP [email protected] #1
Cyanogenmod version 9.1.0-anzu (stable version)
build number cm_anzu-userdebug 4.0.4 IMM76 L eng. .20120828.134723 test-keys
help would be appreciated
thx
Riyge
Hmm.. Open up you're notifications bar > toggle sound until it gets to vibration (you should feel a vibration/hear phone have a vibration)
or simply re-flash the ROM or use CM9.

Hello
I can't for the life of me understand why it doesn't work as it did on CyanogenMod 7.0.1. Since then I installed the stock firmware from T-Mobile UK, then reinstalled a CM7 nighty up until #256. Between reverting back to stock and the latest nightly I had not chose to install the experimental Google Talk app when using ROM Manager to download/update ROMs. Then I decided to try RemPuzzleRom and also Google Talk with Video but it would not work.
By not working I mean, initiating a video call will make the screen go black - I believe it is supposed to show an image feed from the camera at this point. After about a minute, it goes back to the conversation or chat list, depending on how it was initiated.
When performing an audio call, it displays it is calling the user but nothing happens on either end. The user does not receive a notification and no internet activity seems to be present when initiating the call. When a call is made from the user to me, data arrow lights light up indicating a data was sent/received.
The user(s) I called were able to receive/send video calls as we tested them separately.
I turned my phone into a wifi hotspot, connected my netbook to the hotspot and went on GMail website and initiated and received audio and video calls successfully indicating it is not a network related.
I went through these forums and saw posts referencing apps on the market that contain modified versions of Google Talk - I installed these but it did not remedy the issue. In these forum posts, some users also attached files which I tried with no avail.
For your reference, I wiped cache before attempting to install a different version of said files. If installing over did not work, I manually removed them and then installed in recovery mode.
It does not work over network data or wifi but on my Galaxy S2 they do (same wifi, same mobile operator and same tariff). The version I have installed is the one ROM Manager prompted me with. I've also tried the downloads from goo-inside.me/gapps gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip and gapps-gb-20110828-newtalk-signed.zip.
I understand it is emphasised as `experimental` but I'd assume it's available because to some degree it has worked for someone. Does it work for you? Can you help me diagnose the problem? Are there any log files I could look at?
I'd appreciated any response - thank you kindly.

id say this problem has occured ever since update of 4.0.4 or even new facebook update which involved dedicated FB camera app.
I was previously rooted and when update was applied i believe update reverted to stock recovery so lost root. rooted, no change so flashed back to stock and unroot still getting same problem.
the torch application has ceased working too.
Help would be appreciated use camera alot and cant live without.
if helps i have been receiving random error reports that its trying to send via email. contains text file and a screenshot of my lock screen.

Hello all, I've just managed to upgrade my I8150 from 2.3.6 to ICS 4.0.4
I was not sure which version is the latest or the best so I installed build number RemICS 1.5 by sparta20, build date Mon Sep 17 06:47 CEST 2012.
First problem I had was to restore my contacts, because my phone is not being detected in KIES. Is this normal with this version?
Through SSVCardExtractor.java I managed to restore them eventually from my previous back up in KIES.
The other problems I have found so far are:
1. Home button does not work to anwer phone call. I saw that some versions have the possibility to select this in the accessibility menu, but on my phone this selection is missing in the menu.
2. I can not select to add contact in the to field of New Message
3. Weather widget is missing in the widgets
For these 3 questions I have not found a solution yet. Can some more experienced members help me please?
Should I install a different version?
Hello
before i will post my desperate beg for help i did hit the search button in forum i tried to search on google either and i tried several different keywords. and i did read lot of pages manualy.
Iam new user of Xperia Pro but with tunning spirit, so since i bought new (i know it is older but new for me) phone i play with it a lot. I already have unlocked bootloader and manage to flash few diferent ROMs.
I my favorite ROM use to be Buttermilk but since i discovered Xperia Ultimate HD+ i switched to ICS ROM. Till now the only thing which is bothering me on this great ROM is that i dont have Typing indicator when iam using HW keyboard. (that little thing which appearing on top of the screen next to the network signal Indicator when you are writing big or small letter or numbers). Iam using kernel Lupus v8. Do anybody know how i can bring it back there? I dont really care how to do that i just miss that thing and want it there so i dont have to often guess in which typing mod am i.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards Michael
This is a trick josejuangr invented:
(Before flashing anything,Make a NANDROID)
1 °) First install the Xperia_KeyBoard_JJHyb_PRO.zip ---> http://www.mediafire.com/?r57w8cfmp457r6w
2 °) After you install this http://xperia.myftp.biz/Xperia_Pro_ICS_4.0.4/keymaps/
CHOOSE YOUR KEYBOARD and flash it.
Hope it works for you :good:

changes noted:
- Themes work! (I had to go to Google Play on a computer, sign in then it sends to your smartphone correctly)
- Less lag, definitely faster when opening apps
- Contacts/phonebook opens faster, like a normal system app
Some glitches still present:
- Sometimes installing themes via Google Play or Sony Select fails
- Phone restarts itself again and again after installing the themes, when trying to unlock the screen and sometimes get bootloop..,
- GPS lag is reported to still happen
- Changing keyboard settings can trigger a reboot
- The volume bar becomes a blank black box
Alright thanks bro, really helpful. Im gonna stay on this current firmware and not update. Sony has been messing up their updates big time, what the hell is going on?

really,, aree they making it good or making it more and more worse..
Have root access on 15.4.A.1.9 (C1905 locked bootloader) and everything seems to be working on par or better than 15.4.A.0.23
So unless you know of a specific feature, not functioning in 15.4.A.1.9, then I wouldn't hold back on upgrading.
I note that OpenGL ES 2.0 is still giving benchmark results well below that obtained on 15.1.C.2.8 (Android 4.1)
Guess that's the price we pay for OpenGL ES 3.0
Sony notes the following in the Xperia M software update page:
Android version: Google Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean)
Latest available software: 15.4.A.1.9
Release started: 2014-06-10
Included in this software
This upgrade for your Xperia™ smartphone includes many improvements, such as:
Enhanced user experience
Improved battery life
Software performance improvements

Not really a change log, more like an update overview.
It can always be placebo effect, but I feel the GUI is more responsive.
Battery life is always subjective depending on usage.
Update
On Android 4.3, I have not had any reboots outside those I have manually initiated.
I have 'gutted' the /system/app folder of over 26 apk.
Did have Spiderman theme loaded for a few minutes, just to see if Xperia themes worked and then deleted it.
I did a manual reboot after loading the theme.
Currently running Malaysian 1274-5466 build.
I built it from SUS download via Flashtool and extracted system.ext4 for root access upgrade.
On 15.4.A.0.23 I was running a Serbian 1274-5505 build.
I did note on the Serbian 15.4.A.0.23 build it had SMS character optimization.
This is something that is missing in the current 15.4.A.1.9 Malaysian build
Just something to consider for those using extended character sets in SMS messages.
