Can someone translate this for me in BBS?
3 menus set as: kernal wakelock, unplugged, current...
51 s 19% (99% to 80%) [1900.0%/h]
is this wake lock? can someone suggest a way to track down the issue in BBS?
In Trickster mod, it has 180000(i have CPU min set at 180) at about 75%...and it doesn't appear that it is deep sleeping anymore. yesterday it started to do it, but it appears that its not deep sleeping anymore.
Under "partial wakelocks" I'm getting a bunch of items that are keeping it awake, is that normal? The item that is most keeping it awake is RIJL/phone at 33
I just need someone to help track down a wake lock issue with me in Better Battery Saver.
nobody can help translate BBS?
1. That was an incredibly fast bump.
2. You haven't given much BBS information, so I doubt anyone can "translate." either take screenshots of the wakelock and alarm panes or get the log from settings.

Download the latest stable (version 1.11.0.0) better battery app from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1179809
Follow instructions in 1st post... charge phone, leave untouched for 4 hours, then post a dump file in that thread.
My HTC Desire HD is draining battery over night and being very hot in the morning while battery only remaining under 5% even if it was on 100% at night!
It remains like 10% ~ 15% while i put on the airplane mode.
I have installed Jelly Time by RandomBlame R30
juice defender, advanced task killer, and some more apps to avoid battery draining!
UPDATE: I have downgraded my phone to ICS Sabsa Prime
removed advanced task killer because a fellow member suggested me to... still facing the problem!
Screen shots are added in this thread so that you guys can have a better idea of my problem.
UPDATE: I have added some more screen shots of better battery status as suggested.
Please help me out here... any help in this regard will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
Mortal Eternity!
Install Better Battery Stats and check wakelocks and alarms.
Well i just installed sabsa prime version 11.0... battery draining problem in day time is gone... thanks to alireza babae but after installing this rom my set is booting randomly...
Please help!
Can we have a list of the apps you are using to save battery?
And uninstall Advanced Task Manager. Task managers do more bad than good.
Sent from my Nexus 4, powered by CyanogenMod via XDA Developers app.
uninstall advance task manager and download Battery Calibration from Play Store. Follow the instructions in that app and it may solve your problem

Er, what about BBS screen shots? I see your phone awake when the screens not on, so it's probably wakelocks or alarms. BBS will tell you which.

i have uploaded some screen shots of better battery status in the first post and adding some here... i need your suppot in this regard as i dont understand why you asked me to screen shots from this application specifically... dont know what are wakelocks or alarms and how to remove them if i am suffering to these locks...
More specifically, screenshots of kernel wake locks, partial wake locks (already there), and alarms. Select them from the top drop down box.
To use BBS: use it to diagnose what is keeping your phone from battery saving "deep sleep" mode. For example: you see Starting Alert Services in your partial wake locks? It's locking your phone awake more than it should. So what's going on with the app that uses it, which appears to be Contacts? Do you have apps installed or something running that uses it disproportionately?

Sir, i will upload more screen shots here that you asked for... thanks for all your help, can you/any one please suggest best rom to same battery?
I personally feel that choosing a ROM for battery life is not the most efficient method. There are many things that affect battery drain to a significant degree: backlight, GPS, WiFi, alarms, wakelocks, etc. I have not found that ROM choice affects battery drain nearly as much as other things (unless, of course, you're using a highly experimental or brand new ROM).
Any idea how I can reduce the brightness level below the minimum? When reading in bed for instance, I find the setting to be too bright. I don’t have any other reference than my iPhone 4 which which has a greater range – e.g. the max brightness is roughly the same but the min brightness is much less than my Galaxy Nexus.

Any suggestions are much appreciated. Still on 4.2.2 but will upgrade to 4.3 when Wug’s Root Toolkit is updated.
I have always used Lux Auto Brightness app. There are other options though.

You can try with screen filter

Screen Filter works good if you are using your mobile at night
Great, thanks! I'll try those two apps.
Will give screen filter a try
I've been using:

Find it really helps when using before bed with eye strain and bonus helps me fall a sleep quicker.

I have tasker but have found its scheduling extremely unreliable. It will randomly turn the screen filter on and off over the course of even just 1 hour. It is super annoying to be reading something then all of the sudden the screen kick back to normal brightness and burn your eyes out.

You can use a task in Tasker to trigger a full screen scene overlay that acheives the same effect as screen filter. It's much more reliable and only uses one app!

It's normal buddy. Our display need a large amount of energy.
Even you are using other ROM, it will be the same.
my solution is, try go to setting and find adaptive display and set it to basic.
THe color will be faded but it save battery.
hope this can help.
Thanks man!

The display always has the highest percentage, because the screen always uses the most amount of power on any device. It's normal. The thing you should check is the "screen on time". You can check that by clicking on the display percentage on that screen. Try lowering the brightness or turning on adaptive display.
Guys, my OnePlus 3 (running OxygenOS 3.2.7 no root) battery is HORRIBLE! I can only get a maximum of 3 hours SOT from 100% to ~5%!
I've tried every method i found. I don't keep location ON, set my wi-fi off during night, i only charge it until full (NOT overnight!). Wiped my cache yesterday and still NO RESULT!
You can see in the screenshots below that #1 app that eats battery is "Android System" that has CPU total 2h 13m. (today)
Please help me on what to do!!!
>i'm a new user and can't post links to screenshots
Same problem here
Android system is supposed to do that. It's quite normal it really depends on usage. What are you doing in the meantime? What is your usage pattern?

Then the only option you have is boot into your stock recovery wipe your device and then installing all your essential apps initially from play store ....
Do this first then let me know the result.
Also do you use Wi-Fi or mobile data, if both then in what proportions?
I'll help you out mate worry not.

My man do as i ask you shall not be disappointed(hopefully).
But if what you want to do is find the culprit app then use wakelock detector from playstore.
The choice is yours.

Whoa! I downloaded wakelock detector lite now and i see that i can make it work even without root. This wasn't possible an year ago when i tried :victory:
I'm gonna come back with the results! Thank you!!!
I had the same problem with my OP³ running stock OOS 3.2.7 locked bootloader and unrooted. The battery used to drain by 15-20% overnight and also got similar results while using the phone during the day.
Yesterday night i installed google now launcher. The drain came down to just 2% overnight. For the first time i could see "phone idle" in the battery stats instead of android system.
Will use the phone during the day and report back today.
I figured from wakelock detector that the oneplus launcher was keeping the system awake by creating a wakelock for its weather service in shelf even when the option was turned off. Hope this helps you too.

Yeah, i also have Oneplus launcher keeping CPU awake and last night i installed nova launcher. Now the oneplus launcher is not keeping the system awake anymore but in phone's battery stats there is still "Android System" consuming 7% (the most) with "CPU total - 1h 20m" and this process never stops!
I will keep it 1-2 more days to see if something happens and if not, i'm gonna wipe it.

You can try turning off most of the gestures just to try and isolate the problem. Also are you using any of the navigation buttons to turn off screen? Because that turns of the screen but the phone doesnt sleep properly like its locked. Try and let us know about your observation.

The problem persists even though i switched to Nova Launcher. There is still "OnePlus Launcher" in Wakeup triggers (woke up 70 times from 100% to 77%) but on the first place is "Google Play Services" with 88 times until now. Btw, "OnePlus Launcher" is #1 consumer in CPU wakelock.
