It's normal buddy. Our display need a large amount of energy.
Even you are using other ROM, it will be the same.
my solution is, try go to setting and find adaptive display and set it to basic.
THe color will be faded but it save battery.
hope this can help.

Thanks man!

The display always has the highest percentage, because the screen always uses the most amount of power on any device. It's normal. The thing you should check is the "screen on time". You can check that by clicking on the display percentage on that screen. Try lowering the brightness or turning on adaptive display.

best screen lock app

hello everyone,
I had try some screen lock app but i had not found one that I really like.... i tried sensorlock and LockMeLite from geoks100, those are not so bad but i would like somethings else maybe something with gsensor, however olso without gsensor would be great.
thanks for the help and sorry for my bad english
S2U2 does the job for me, very customizable as well. No g-sensor support tho..
Hi, try Throttlelock or S2U2. I use S2U2 and its great!
I would like to use S2U2 but there seems to be comments around its use and battery drain. Is this the case or do you guys have a more positive experience with it?
Cheers

The new Version it´s owesome you can even lock your hd now, great. But it seems that the application use to much from the battery again. The Version before didn´t use much voltage.
I tried to find out, how much the application need. I didt use the phone for an almost whole day. I didn´t call and I didn´t used the phone for playing. Only in the following morning it should wake me up. The battery shows me 100% by the beginning. The following morning it shows me remain 40% battery capacity. I´m sorry but that´s too much.
The application self is very very cool and the idear behind is cool as well, but the developer should check the application again, because from 100% Battery to 40% (in between 10 hours) is too much
thx

If I use the version 1.45 the voltage will stays for two or two and a half days without charging. Even than I still have between 45%-35%.
I changed it back to 1.45 and I don´t have any problem. Maybe these developers will see it later and they will change something inside the application.
I like S2U2 combine with geye and the lock application, but it sucks to much voltage from the battery.

Looking for a specific battery moniter app - help appreciated

Im looking for a battery monitor app that I have seen posted on here before but can not find it again for the life of me. It shows screen on time and also tells you how much each specific app is draining your battery. +1 to anyone who could help me out. Thanks

Better Battery Stats. Do a search for it here on XDA. I'd post a link for you but I'm mobile and can't get my search to work right. :-(

battery spy is great in my opinion, also better batter stats, as well as battery monitor widget pro is cool. i would choose just one to run, if you don't want a lot of background processes

[Q] Battery Draining Problem desite hd

My HTC Desire HD is draining battery over night and being very hot in the morning while battery only remaining under 5% even if it was on 100% at night!
It remains like 10% ~ 15% while i put on the airplane mode.
I have installed Jelly Time by RandomBlame R30
juice defender, advanced task killer, and some more apps to avoid battery draining!
UPDATE: I have downgraded my phone to ICS Sabsa Prime
removed advanced task killer because a fellow member suggested me to... still facing the problem!
Screen shots are added in this thread so that you guys can have a better idea of my problem.
UPDATE: I have added some more screen shots of better battery status as suggested.
Please help me out here... any help in this regard will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards,

Install Better Battery Stats and check wakelocks and alarms.
Well i just installed sabsa prime version 11.0... battery draining problem in day time is gone... thanks to alireza babae but after installing this rom my set is booting randomly...
Please help!
Can we have a list of the apps you are using to save battery?
And uninstall Advanced Task Manager. Task managers do more bad than good.
Sent from my Nexus 4, powered by CyanogenMod via XDA Developers app.
uninstall advance task manager and download Battery Calibration from Play Store. Follow the instructions in that app and it may solve your problem

i have uploaded some screen shots of better battery status in the first post and adding some here... i need your suppot in this regard as i dont understand why you asked me to screen shots from this application specifically... dont know what are wakelocks or alarms and how to remove them if i am suffering to these locks...
More specifically, screenshots of kernel wake locks, partial wake locks (already there), and alarms. Select them from the top drop down box.
To use BBS: use it to diagnose what is keeping your phone from battery saving "deep sleep" mode. For example: you see Starting Alert Services in your partial wake locks? It's locking your phone awake more than it should. So what's going on with the app that uses it, which appears to be Contacts? Do you have apps installed or something running that uses it disproportionately?

Sir, i will upload more screen shots here that you asked for... thanks for all your help, can you/any one please suggest best rom to same battery?
I personally feel that choosing a ROM for battery life is not the most efficient method. There are many things that affect battery drain to a significant degree: backlight, GPS, WiFi, alarms, wakelocks, etc. I have not found that ROM choice affects battery drain nearly as much as other things (unless, of course, you're using a highly experimental or brand new ROM).

[FACT][TIP] SONY XPERIA S Auto Brightness

SONY XPERIA S's Auto Brightness is always on, so there's no need for some application to do that for you.
TEST : Press your DIAL icon and type this code : *#*#7378423#*#* : Press Service tests : Scroll down to : Ambient Light Sensor : Press it and you should see some values. Now put your finger on the sensor and those values will change. Now you know the sensor is working OK.
The build in Brightness which is in Settings/Display should be set over/or to 60%, if it is set under that value the auto brightness will not be ''AUTO''
And of course you can do a test in broad daylight, when the sun is up
Put your finger on the sensor and see the step by step brightness difference/changing.
Unrelated-hint : If you want to enter another secret menu this is the code : *#*#4636#*#*
You'll see :
Phone information
Battery information
Usage statistics
Wi-Fi information

Well the point for this is that I saw so many threads about Auto Brightness apps, modes, tweaks and some other stuff, that are irrelevant when you know that the Auto Brightness is ON and ALWAYS working. The Auto Brightness is ON, so there is no need for some application occupying space on the phone, to do what your phone already is doing by itself.
And you're right, that's not a secret menu, but it's not a sub/menu in Settings either

He is right, but auto brightness works with 30% and up of a brightness.
Sent from my LT26i using xda app-developers app
The best value is 60 %. Any value under that will not make much difference regarding Auto Brightness.
I keep my phone on 30-40% and i can clearly see that auto brightness works and makes huge diference.
Also IMO 60% is to hell bright, and i can bet you barrelly can use display more then 2:30-3:00 hours.

Keeping the level at 60 %, which is the default setting will not drain the battery that fast. Under that, as you stated that you are keeping it at 30 %, well, in a few years you will need glasses. It's a smartphone, with HD screen resolution, let it do his job, make the best of it. Normal level is 60 %, not 100 % but for sure not 30 %

Can you cite any scientific data to support your claim of loss of vision due to chronic use of low backlight screens or are you repeating a myth that our grandparents told us when we tried to read a book in darker rooms? All you can get from extreme cases is temporary eye muscle fatigue, nothing more.
http://science.howstuffworks.com/life/human-biology/reading-in-dim-light.htm
Another thing, I have done some endurance tests concerning impact of backlight on battery life and between 30% and 60% there is a substantial difference (few hours) in battery life.
Temporary eye muscle fatigue it's already SOMETHING you can GET from low light reading, right? But anyway, the truth is always somewhere in the middle. The point is that there is no need for an application to handle the Auto Brightness.
THERE IS A TRUTH IN EVERY MYTH!!!

This thread is about Auto Brightness. I will ignore all off-topic comments.
I'm listening to your comments, and I put my brightness on 60%.
I know that the auto brightness is working, I've tested it many times. The best test to see something is to put the phone under a light bulb. You'll see the screen going brighter.
I'm curious why to put on 60%, I always have my phone on low brightness. When it's sunny, it brightens up itself.
Cheers
Give it a try, 60 % it's the default brightness on SONY XPERIA S. The phone's battery will not drain, and you'll see better what's happening on your smartphone screen
Best of luck.

Set it how you want it, this 60% perfect and non battery draining setting is bulls*it. It's just an original preset, that doesn't mean anything
Logic tells the less % the less battery drain.

E98x LP Battery issues Potentially resolved

Hi All I am Posting my results, I need a few ppl who could help and see if this is going to help everyone or only me
And to the critics, I will be doing a screen on time (SOT, ppl are asking and not getting answered) test, I am as eager to fix this so if you would like me to run anything while the screen is on, please let me know
An hour ago i put brightness at 100 while battery was at 50% been browsing the net with chrome using mobile data and it dropped to about 10%. Much less heat than expected although brightness was limited to 84 at some point. Will do a 50 brightness test tomorrow from full charge but wont be touching the phone much
Steps to Follow to give me info
Hi Guys,
Had a bit of time, this is the info I need, hopefully I will get responses from a view e98x variants, even other LGs would be great but please specify the details of your phone.
Download Battery Doctor from the Play Store google dot com/store/apps/details?id=com.ijinshan.kbatterydoctor_en&hl=en
Get it running , opened, etc and then look at the app usage info (scroll down) for the last 24 hours (seen in screenshot attached)
When opened please send me the screenshot or the the list of draining APPS, I have hidden my top drainer that consumed 98% of my battery in the other attached screenshot. At the time of my screenshot I have not uploaded, it has used 34% of my battery and has been disabed for 19 hours. I cannot yet suggest the name or anyone to do anything with the service yet as I am still attempting to find out what breaks (so far nothing.)
I will send battery updates as far as I can.
Another Test
So the next thing I have done is charge full again, set the brightness to 50% and played Hearthstone for 3 Hours, I am personally pleased with the results as i could not achieve 3 Hours with the Phone before.
i get 3.5-4.5 hours screen from 100%
with [ROM][5.0.2]STOCK LOLLIPOP G.PRO V1.5 of bountyman334

I never could have more than two hours of charge with brightness set to 100%.
sorry for my bad english

Can you follow post 2 and send me the details, The item I disabled eventually disabled my MTP and USB Tethering, as it doesnt bother me yet, I am yet to attempt tpo fix it. I would Highly recommend 30 - 60% brightness, anything more seems to not have a major impact on brightness, it just reduces battery life and cause heat, which reduces the maximum charge of the battery in future
