Selling HTC One X - need to get stock ROM - HTC One X

Hi Guy's,
I am selling my HTC One X 32GB phone. It is currently rooted running Venom ViperX 3.3.8 I want to Unroot phone and re-install factory ROM . Does anyone have a link for how to do this and the files that i will need, i.e RUU and Factory ROM?
Attached are my current software info and Kernel. This phone was bought in Ireland. So i am looking to return it to factory ROM.
Any help would be great. Just finding it hard to find how to do this.
Thanks very much

Would you be able to tell me how to do unroot, get RUU and return to Stock ROM?
If you could post link to what RUU and ROM i should be flashing.
Thanks for your help.

Here is the ruu
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
Charge the Batt
Lock the bootloader
Run the ruu with admin rights from the pc
Keep the phone in the bootloader while executing the ruu

fastboot oem lock is the command for locking so that you know.

TToivanen,
Really appreciate all your help.
Just re-locked botloader. Waiting for RUU to download.
Do you have a link for the Stock ROM?
Thanks,

The ruu is the stock rom, the ruu flashes back the stock recovery, kernel and rom. After the ruu you are back to stock and also directly able to update to jellybean with official ota's

RUU failed due to unknown error. It just had HTC on screen, recovered successfully.

How to run stock ruu to regain stock

I rooted this one x but want to take to stock. My question is does the ruu run right from the phones hboot menu?
Since no external sd if I download ruu direct to phone and power into hboot will it do its thing or is a pc required ?
I'm used to renameing the ruu to a .IMG
When I did this on other htc devices
Also am I to rename the ruu to something specific?
Any links to the latest ruu for the atat one x
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
Ann RUU is an EXE that you run with your phone connected in fastboot mode to the computer
Then what is the method used like on other devices like evo and thunderbolt
Where you download it rename it to pc36img and boot into hboot and it reads that and.returns phone to stock what's different with the hox
So what do I need to do Downlosd it to a pc connect via usb and put into fastboot and then hit exe in the ruu folder
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
This is the process to go back stock as long as you have the correct RUU for your One X.
Go into fastboot, flash stock recovery (make sure it's the correct one)
Then fastboot oem lock
Then keep it in fastboot and run the RUU.exe, follow the process and it should do the rest

Back to Manufacturer Kernel

I would like to reinstall Anroid 4.0.4 after uprading to Jelly Beans. I found the kernel source code here: http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads, and now I would like to install it.
The source code comes as a file called:
endeavoru-2.6.39-6b459dc.tar.gz
How do I go about installing the kernel? I have ClockWorkMod installed if that helps. I have noticed that the kernel does not come with a boot.img file etc, therefore do I need to compile it?
Please help if you can
Thanks
Zugz
Its not compiled, its just the code itself. You can't flash it just like that.

There's loads of returning to stock threads in this Q&A section, you're not the first to want to do it.
The boot.img is specific to the ROM version.
There is a sticky Endeavor Shipped ROM Collection thread with RUUs in the dev section, password for filefactory on page 173.

RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_Vodafone_UK_1.29.161.13_Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_264070_signed.exe
Each time I have had an error message saying it is the wrong version. Is there any preperation that I need to do.. e.g do I need to lock the bootloader again? etc
What's the exact error? Vodafone UK should have CID of VODAP001 if I recall, and the last RUU you tried should be correct.
Before you go too far, it will be worth grabbing your unlock code from htcdev.
To flash RUU will need to be locked:
fastboot oem lock
And you might need stock recovery
fastboot flash recovery signed_recovery.img
Hopefully that'll give you a decent starting point.

So you've installed a recovery designed for a different phone? That's not going to do you any favours.
If you have the AT&T One X (EVITA), you might want to go to the AT&T One X forum, because it is a completely different phone to the international One X (ENDEAVORU) which we discuss and have software for in this forum.

Only the cid will get you nowhere. The main version is important.
Fastboot getvar version-main
That number will tell the ruu number you need (if its available to begin with) and it tells the bootloader hboot version.
Cid is just a region number without additional info.
Ow and the command = fastboot oem readcid

[q] htc one x bricked? Help d:

Sorry if this has been posted already but i have searched literally hours before coming to this.
I'll start at the beggining.
my htc was working fine :good: then it crashed and after that was on a boot loop. i tried erasing cache and flashing recoveries and boot imgs etc but i kept getting errors. i then did a stupid thing relocking the bootloader as i though i could use an RUU. but apparently i cannot. NOW the WEIRD part.
my bootloader should say relocked right? NO. is says LOCKED?! i mean WHAT?!
anyway i have tried several times to unlock it again but i get a too many links error and it still says locked? am i bricked? i cant find answers anywhere.
sorry for the long explanation
I can provide any information you want, just let me know how to access it and i will provide you with anything. even my number for a step by step walkthrough
oh yeah it was also rooted. so after locking the bootloader i get the message about the build and it takes me straight to the bootloader
i do have a nandorid back up but cannot use it as i dont have a recovery flashed. when i tried to do a factory reset i just get three skateboarders then back to the bootloader.
Thanks guys/gals!
