Are there any fixes for the bluetooth not sending audio track info such as song title, artist, album?
Is this a hardware or software issue?
Would a different music player? Or which custom ROMs might fix this problem?

For whatever reason most ROMs based off 4.2.2 use the older Bluetooth driver (AVRCP 1.1) instead of 1.3. We need version 1.3 in order for it to show track info. I know the older ROM named Codename Android worked. Maybe someone else can shed light onto why we went backwards with newer ROMs?
It might be the new Broadcom Bluetooth stack in JB 4.2 that Google claims is "new and improved". If that's the case then we are stuck until Google provides a fix.

Installed Audio Manager on top of Schap's 4.01 lite ROM. However, it doesn't sort by track number, only tracks alphabetically. Was running vp3G's 3.62 before and it sorted by track number as I'd have expected. Any idea why or what I can do to change this?
Which version did you load? The latest versions do sort by track order.
I installed this version and it sorts by track number...woo hoo...been waiting for this for ages
Has anyone figured out a way to make Audio Manager play files other than .mp3? (AAC+ for example)
I tried this version but it does not give the right playlenght. The slidebar to move thrue a single mp3 file is totally filled and the time is wrong.
anybody else have this problem?
I don't have this problem. My MP3 files are encoded using VBR 192K. The slidebar and time is all fine.

same question here
whats the best recording format and bit rate for playing music on Audio Manager?
I tried searching and the official MIUI thread, but seems like nobody has an answer for this.
I'm running the latest 1.28 alternate download build, with the ZenDroid 1.1.0 CFS-svs kernel on a 003 hardware Evo.
The problem is, I don't use the music app, instead, I set the lockscreen controls to work with Google Listen, which I use everyday to listen to my podcasts. Everytime I press on the pause button, while a podcast is playing, it instead skips to the next podcast down the list. It is really annoying, and basically leaves the lockscreen controls useless to me.
Does anybody know what's going on here? How can I fix it?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
Does anyone know if there is a kernel (or bluetooth stack) out there somewhere with AVRCP v1.3 support?
I need it to show the Artist, Title & Album of a song on my Parrot Asteroid (bluetooth radio).
Regards,
Dennis

I have asked this before with other ROMs. I think a good person to ask might be Lord Clockan, he got it working once in one of his Ice Cold Sandwich Roms for Desire HD, maybe he can help out

Ya, i've got the same request for my SE MW600 BT headsets that supported: Caller ID and Track names displaying
Anyone have a good solutions to wake this feature up on my ONE S with Track title displayed when playing music through headsets?
I've found that SS Galaxy Note with default Music Player app can support very well (the app name is MIUI Player.. or something that i remembered)
Appreciated if u guys can give a hand to support on this

Are there any kernels/ROMs that support AVRCP 1.3 or higher (viewing the song info via bluetooth)? The track buttons work great in my car, but there is no song info / metadata.
If there aren't any currently, is this something that devs will be able to implement? Or is this a hardware limitation? Thanks!

AOKP M6 has it implemented but it's ICS, no JB ROM has it yet AFAIK
question does AVRCP also support browsing the music on my phone via headunit? because i on my pioneer unit i see the metadata on google music on any stock JB firmware except on CM10.
cuz if AVRCP lets me browse then i have to sacrifice jellybean
AVRCP 1.3 works in the ROM

Hi everyone. I have had an issue with specific Roms, mainly sense based but some cm /soap based as well. When playing any stored music ie. Music player or any player from the market, and turning the screen off, the music literally slows down about 30% and gets distorted. It does not occur when streaming music at all ie. Pandora, FM radio or google music. Seems to react similarly whether the file is on internal or external storage. Happens with all headphones and my headphones work normally on other devices, to rule out the obvious. I am currently running sd sense 7. Any ideas?

I think that you currently have BoomSound audio files in the rom and the HK adsp installed... I suggest you to reflash the stock adsp or flash the HK mod again... :good:
Edit: as you run sense 7 rom i suggest you to flash stock adsp instead of the mod because it might be incompatibile...
After trying a bunch of different music players, I found that PowerAmp works. Seems odd that even the majority of the apps on the market have the same problem. This still just seems like a bandaid to the problem and I would like to figure out why I am not able to use the HTC player.

You answered yourself you flashed hk mod and then another rom, so probably you have hk adsp and BoomSound files... You need to change your adsp back to stock or flash again the mod to get hk files... As you are on sense 7, i suggest you the first choice just to avoid incompatibilities...
Flashing hk-bs-switcher-4.3 and choosing bs stock seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks
