Hey guys, i just got this phone Htc Wildfire, so after installing a new sim card got no signal at all, all other functions works normally, including wifi and bluetooh, so after remove the gsm antenna(black plactic cover in the back) i noticed that theres some missing conector(s) and components on the pcb itself, on the antenna conector area(bottom), so theres any chance to fix it myseft by replacing the missing parts? is there a schematic diagram so i can found the right component/values for this phone available, thanks for your responses in advance,
Here is a pic how it looks like right now.

If I was you I would try to scope ebay and hunt for a screen damaged wildfire and salvage the parts from that. I have personally never seen or heard of the wildfire schematics being "in the wild", nor have I heard of anyone replacing that part. I would request though that if you do find the parts can you take pics and make a how to? These kinds of things always help out the community I shall try see if I can find a schematic for you

Have been having a look around and have came across this. Its a strip down of the wildfire. But if I am seeing correctly then the phone they have stripped is bare in the same place as yours pal. http://www.formymobile.co.uk/wildfiredisassembly.php

Hi GUys,
Anyone know if the camera module for the HTC desire is soldered on to the base board?
On my Hero, it was just stuck on and connected via a flex cable...I desperately need to remove the camera module.
Thanks!!!
I have no idea how to do that, but curiosity got over me, so I have to ask.
Why do you want to remove camera in the first place?

Office security policy does not allow cameras on-site :X
And you would butcher your phone to do that? :S
just put a black sticker over the inside of the back cover, try take a photo and show security.
in that case, isn't it better to get yourself a low-tech phone without cam for that purpose?
I mean it's a such a shame to butcher Desire for that reason...
well could you live with a low tech phone?
it isnt bad if the camera is just attached by a flex cable because you can always put it back.
i guess I'll just end up being the first one to try : (

Have a Desire as a weekend phone - crap, non-camera one for week days...job done!!
And defeat the purpose of buying the Desire? Maybe he needs all the features of the Desire while at work where a dumb phone wouldn't cut it?
The sticker over the lens idea sounds good if they'll accept it.

I didnt understand your answer. did you manage to tear out the camera?
"one" referes to another desire or a crappy phone?

Check out these teardown pics.

Hi guys,
Fairly new so take it easy on me.
New owner of the One X and is a worthy upgrade to my excellent Desire HD.
Sorry if this has been asked already but has anyone had any headphone problems. It seems when headphone inserted its just doesn't pick this up and continues to play audio via speaker.
I'm hoping I'm being very dumb and missing something cos I don't want the hassle of returning the phone.
Much appreciated guys.

It seems like your phone doenst recognize your headphones...
I had the same problem when i bought my sgs+
i solved it by trying several headphones and it worked with one i found
Thanks for the response.
I'll give that a good but seems bad that it can't work with any headphones.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
It does seem strange, I have tried 4 sets of headphones with my HOX (I know, I just like headphones) and haven't come across this.
It could just be an issue with the set you have, hope it's not the phone/headphone socket, good luck!
I've only had it for 4 days so if I'm not happy after some tests it's going back to O2 shop. Which I want to avoid as I have just set everything up etc.

Lets take into consideration
he told us that he has a new phone
so i realy cant imagine its the headphone socket in the phone
if its stock it cannot be a soft bug (ofcourse it could but if it would be a soft bug htc would be a poooooooor cellphone manufacture )
So lets look
some phones (dont ask me why) do not recognize cheap headphones
in some way the do but than only one side works propperly or the sound is messed up or something else
I would call the HTC support hotline
IT must be your phone, mine recognises it perfectly.
Ok however this is a problem that cant be redone by anybody else in a propper way
i would suggest to contact your cellphone seller or the htc support hotline
Thanks for the response guys.
I'm going to try a few different headphones tonight and see what happens. Hopefully it's just these headphones it doesn't like.
If not then a return it is.

Let me know how u fixed the issue
definitely try different headphones. My Favourite pair of Sonys dont work in any HTC phone. They are noise cancelling, so they have a 5pin jack, and HTC's simply don't recognise it.
as long as you have a standard 3 or 4 pin pair, it should be ok, but there are some where the pins don't seem to line up just right...
**** thats what i mentioned to be the problem....
i know it sounds a bit stupid but if the sony headset is ur favourite u might search for a adapter or something else
Sounds like a phone fault to me - I've tried loads of headsets and headphones, all have worked in terms of sound coming out (mic and buttons working is a different story).
Did your HOX come with HTC headphones - I thought they were included as standard, (although they are tinny/cheap) if it doesn't work with them then there is a problem.
If all else fails take the phone and the headphones to the shop and get them to see for themselves.
Good luck.
Ok i dont have this phone and i dont know anybody by the moment who hast this phone
Ask other people u know owning the same phone like u if the may let u test the headset that works for them
To be honest today was the first time I tried some headphones while at work. And they were my old desire HD headphones I had in my draw.
So once I get home I shall try the new HTC ones as well as others I have.
And if not then I will indeed be returning to the shop. I'll let you guys know. Thanks again.

The battery does not need "calibrating".
Android calibrates its battery meter against the battery when the battery is fully charged. This means that the battery meter will show reasonable values for the remaining battery life.
That is a fact, regardless of what other people may say, think or do.
Hey guys,
I've had this wifi antenna issue since long as my phone is from the first batch.
Been to HTC workshop but got a really stupid answer for my wifi antenna issue "he said we are coming up with a software upgrade and that night just fix your antenna issue" not arguing with him I just left and want to know if anyone of you guys have sent your fone to workshop a d what was the result repairing or replacing....
Hope to get a feedback from some Indians who are using HTC one x with wifi antenna issue.

and you should have read what the wifi fault is all about. wifi gets BETTER when you push the spot on the back. so its a hardware fault and no user fault.
Sorry buddy if u feel it's crowded but I really see the need to create a new thread.... Thanks for your awesome reply I am sure your answer is creating a confusion I clearly asked has one sent the fone to workshop and did not ask or an option on how to hold the phone and ignore a factory fault in the device.... So good luck holding your device and not pressing and be happy with your hox

Don't live in India, but have a HOX intended to be sold there. WiFi fluctuates at times, but the three times I've tried the squeeze test my signal actually dropped (good thing). Just give HTC a ring rather than going into the store

Since there is a Indian owners thread, it would have made sense posting there.
As for your issue, its reverse death grip like N3m3515 mentioned. If your wifi improves on squeezing the region between volume and camera, you have the issue.
And for HTC Service center in India, just put a sofware like wifi analyzer on your phone to prove you're facing the reverse death grip and argue with them about it being a hardware issue and not software issue. I haven't dealt with them, I myself am facing this issue but my warranty is in the UAE and trying to get it fixed here(India) is chargeable by $35(cost of sending it to an international htc service center -_-)
So I have to wait till I go back to the UAE and hope they don't catch my phone having been unlocked by HTC Dev.
Hello, I am from india and looking for buying a new phone. Can you please tell me what are the problems and disadvantages of HTC ONE X.

I had the WiFi issue and I got the same reply when I called HTC support. Subsequently, I went to the service center and explained the issue in detail. I was issued a DOA immediately. If this does not help, you can write to [email protected] and [email protected] explaining your problem and demanding that your phone be fixed or replaced. Also, make sure you are actually facing the problem.. a lot of people (like LakshayX) don't understand the issue and few others are simply paranoid. The only way you can get your phone fixed is to keep following customer support and escalating the issue till you get a satisfactory reply. Hope that helps.
Hello Guys,
don't ask why! I need a way to brick a HTC ONE X. It does not have to be permanently but at least enough that it can not be restored (besides by HTC themselves). Also it would be nice if it does not leave too obvious traces (so no physical damage).
I thought about a bootloader update (with unplugging the cable in the "wrong" second) but I am open to other suggestions.
I onloy know how to flash Samsung Galaxy Series, so please link to sources for needed software.
Thanks in advance

i saw one on youtube. they are working. surely it will make your one x into a brick (literally)
here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk4adP2Pi-Q
You can disassemble the phone and using a piece of Aluminium foil or steel wool, connect all the solder connections randomly while the phone is ON until phone suffocates.
If your intentions is wasting the phone for fun then :
1- Look for the HTC logo on the back
2- Make a small "x" exactly 3 mm below the "T"
3- Through the "x" you marked, Drill using a fine 10mm drillbit until you can feel back of the screen
4- Continue drilling until you can see the drillbit on the other side of the phone.
I didnt see any moderators say anything but........ This is not an appropriate question to open post. Not trying to rain on your parade, Im all for getting new stuff. You dont want to get caught up in defrauding AT&T or HTC, google this you'll find alot about people getting caught. If you really need to get a new phone opps it fell in the pooper. Be carefull when asking stuff like this, you really should be asking someone you know via pm or email.

Hi all. My phone felt on the floor from 1,5 metres and now I get errors while trying to switch on bluetooth or wifi. I wiped all, flashed stock rom with stock boot.img and already done all can I do in terms of software modifications.. Also I deassembled it to be sure any cable is disconnected. In fact seems that all is ok . Surely is an hardware fault but I don't know where wifi and bluetooth hardware is. Can anyone help me telling me where they are ? Maybe with a photo of the internal part of the hox to indicate them.. Maybe I didn't look with attention for a disconnected cable or a broken part..
Also my cpu is unable to go in deep sleep now..
Please help me guys
