Hi guys. I know I asked so much question about "Which rom is better?". But I'm sure this is my last question. Yes. Here is the question.
I want long battery life, awesome game playing, and smooth system. Im sure everybody think best rom is gingerbread. But why people chose Ics ?
İcs: better UI looking
Better looking app swithcer
Chrome, good launchers
Gingerbread:smooth rom
Long battery life
Better gaming
Etc.
What guys are you think? Which rom is better for me, İ dont care looking i just want performance
Note: sorry for bad english

Look:
Gingerbread:
Smoother UI
Fluent
Easy to use
Better Gaming More RAM can Be Allocated to the Games.
ICS
Better UI
Fluent
Average Knowledge needed
Uses "MORE RAM" Just to run the android OS.
Gaming Will have Lag Because of the Play having Only 512MB RAM.
So why people choose Ics I cant understand.

ICS is still beta, when it will be finally released it will probably be better than Gingerbread.

Yep, I think ill stick to ginger till we have all full feature on

When it's officially released and Sony say say that they've fixed everything and will run smooth and won't be a memory hog on 512 mb ram phones then i'll definitely be upgrading to ICS

Because there are people who care to experiment, read instructions and give feedback instead of wasting their time and everyone else's asking which ROM is better.
Many people using Android handset confused about making decision on which rom they will be using for daily activities...
Gio, as middle devices, has gotten upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread, and the ported developed ICS rom still seems pretty difficult to be used for daily activity coz the problems of camera, video acceleration, and else...
But overall, even the ICS has excellent performance, still cannot wait for the more excellent release! (major dev: Macław #Work Hard!)
Let's share all things to make the handset stable and smooth for daily use!
SO LET'S NOW SETTLE THIS PROBLEM BY SOLVING TOGETHER
WHAT'S WORTH TO BE DISCUSSED, LET'S DISCUSS IT HERE
Which rom are u using?
How's the battery performance?
is it stable and smooth for daily use?
Please share, from inexperienced to experienced, tips and tricks or something related to the rom that stable and smooth, or ways to make it stable and smooth!
DXKT8 STOCK ROM *FAST LINK*
-*DOWNLOAD AVAILABLE*-
have u guys tested the newest version of stock like dxkt8?
it has the galaxy note lockscreen i heard
if you wanna try, this is the link for the dxkt8, not having problem, just have to increase the performance by custom rom and maybe a boost memory by a2sd darktremor. . . (hehe. . . a bit advertising?)

Which from are u using?
Stock 2.3.6 open germany
How's the battery performance?
Normal, bit better due to tweaking
is it stable and smooth for daily use?
Yes. Stock =stability, at the cost of performance so I use tweaks to get them both

CM9 has been very smooth for me. I use it daily. But I'm starting to experience random freezes in beta 8. Thinking about switching back to beta 7
Adrenaline rom is great in every aspect.
Using Gingerbread 2.3.6. Smooth, fast and battery performance is good. 2days using it's basis phone features and a lil bit of angry birds>
Stock with custom kernel. There's nothing better yet.
ICS when its ready
Cm9 bèta 8
Bèta 9 when it is out

Beta 8 isn't particularly stable for me. Even though it is very smooth, it has random crashes and freezes for me along with many other bugs.
Adrenaline ROM 2nd Edition
it's pretty stable and the best part is if you manage to configure it well you can make it really smooth and with battery lasting for 1 day and half...
you can say its too low but considering to the use i give to it is awesome
i tried almost all the roms, kernels, and configs for Gio but seems i've finaly managed one that fits my style, lots of battery without any lag at all
If you interested in more details say something )
You can finde more details in general... opened a thread with full details
Im using Cyanogenmod 7.2 lastes build from.phiez,

Hey everyone. I'm trying to choose a new rom to switch to as calk seems to be out of the game. I would really like to know everyone's opinion on which Rom provides the best gaming performance. If you make a suggestion please say whether it is an ics or gb Rom. Also feel free to list benchmark results or avg fps in games. I will be testing myself I'm sure and I will update this post with results in the future.

I myself would recommend you to stay in a GB ROM they are much muuuch more stable with games that ICS I am not ROM specific but if I feel like in a trip or like a gamer I always go for GB my games are much more stable
Ex. N.O.V.A. 3 just works 1 of 3 times I open it
Modern Combat 3 the same
Front line Commando doesn't even work etc

Blazer rom works wonders for every game I've thrown at it with great battery life also.

calkulin l29 or a stock like rom ics
With ICS roms, I had plenty of issues with games. I've been using Calks EL29 and everything has been working well.
Ive never had an issue on mijjhs goodness rom, but I pretty much only use emulators for gaming (lots of fpse)... I get surprisingly good battery life while playing as well...

What is the disadvantages of CM9 ??
Camera quality isn't as good and slower to take photos, interface is a bit laggier than a stripped down stock gingerbread, battery drain can be worse depending on customisations and tweaks, some apps run slower/graphics can be jerkier/Mobo player is buggy (an ICS issue)
Advantages are AOSP interface, higher app compatibility, ability to install application data to the SD card and many more

I think the battery is quite good. Because mine can hold even almost 1 day. You should wait for 3 - 4 cycle charge before you can complaint about the battery issue If you just flashed rom. About the other I can say much because I don't use gb rom very much.
But for me cm9 is good fast smooth and stable for me

You should at least try using some GB roms before coming to a conclusion
Sent from my GT-I8150 using xda premium
I think the strength of cm9 is in its ability to hold large amount of Apps without lagging like stock does.
The one and only thing I can think of is the fact that there are too many different choices you do not know which suits you.

If you want to use GB roms then use RebelROM something like that... simple like GB Stock but more reliable and transparent and it has no complaint.. i use just a month and then join ICS

I used a whole bunch of GB ROMs for the W before eventually settling with CM9 again after thinking it was giving me battery drains since CM9 provided a cleaner and smoother interface also better gaming experience than any of the GB ROMs provided.
GB is alright but compared to ICS and CM9 its not as good if you do alot of gaming since I found even the best GB ROM has more lag than CM9 gaming wise.
Hi everyone !
I have tried both gb and jb for some time. I have noticed a big difference in gaming in these two. Gaming in gb is much faster, lag free and smoother than jb whereas jb has better visuals
From what i ve heard this is because we are using beta gpu drivers for jb in all jb roms. Will it ever be possible to get the same gpy peeformance on gb to jb ?
