I have to exchange my EVO to Radio Shack and I just can't find a way to leave the phone back at stock settings!
I am currently rooted with Toast's method and running the Baked Snack 9.6 ROM. I have tried running the RUU_Supersonic_1.47.651.1_Radio_2.05.00.06.10_release_CL195459.exe file but it keeps saying that it cannot connect to the phone, even though I have tried it both as USB Charging only and Hard Drive only.
PLEASE, anyone can help me? I have SEARCHED the forums but haven't been able to find a way to do it properly.
You might have a better chance asking this in Q&A section, or else you are going to get lit up by the cops here.

Done!
I had the same issue and this is how I did it:
I turned off the phone. Turned it back on holding the volume down key and power key. Selected FASTBOOT, then I opened RUU_Supersonic_1.47.651.1_Radio_2.05.00.06.10_release_CL195459.exe and it worked perfect.
Just remember that your phone will no longer be rooted (you won't be able to can't access the recovery).

Ok, I got to the FASTBOOT link and selected it. Then it switched to FASTBOOT USB. I ran that exe file on my PC but it still says that it can't connect to the phone. It keeps saying ERROR [170]: USB CONNECTION ERROR
Get the update.zip from the RUU
I believe you can also open your temporary directory.
Start, run, %tmp%
Do a search for update.zip and copy it to your sd card and boot into recovery.
If you can't find the update.zip it MIGHT be named something else, so try searching for *.zip, or delete all your temporary files, open the RUU, and then search for *.zip.

Do you have HTC Sync running? I had it running and my phone was synced when I ran the .exe file.

THIS WORKED! The file was actually named rom.zip, so I renamed it to PC36ENG.zip and placed it on my sdcard. THANKS!

I have tried via Firefox, IE, and Chrome, with anti-virus turned off, and even my phone over WiFi
Each time, I was unable to open the file with 7zip on Windows, received error invalid archive.
filename: epic4g-fc09-sdcard-utility-v3.tar.tar
downloaded from: http://epiccm.blogspot.com/2012/01/boot-el30-stock-from-sdcard.html
I need to boot to TW so I can activate my phone...
Any Ideas?

Yah, the zarchiver extracted the file for me, and I was able to extract the multiboot dir to the root of my SD card using 7zip at that point.
Was then able to boot to stock FC09, activate the phone, and was able to update the profile and the PRL
Gonna reboot and see if data works...
If data doesnt come on by the morning, gonna just wipe back to stock EC05 and activate, reroot and restore the nand back
I've got all general purpose files for the Epic and Nexus 7 in my signature. Feel free to check it out.

So it looks like everything is working now.
Not sure why I was unable to extract the file on my desktop, but dl'ing via the phone and extracting via zarchiver on the phone did the trick, and allowed me to do all the TW stuff I needed to, to get the phone reactivated.
Just had to make sure when it rebooted the first time, I went back into recovery and booted to the SD card again, so I could update the profile to reactivate the data

Downloaded from a different computer and still the same issue, file is corrupt. Trying to check the md5 value and it does not even give me a md5 at all matching or not. I am going to go to a friends house and try downloading it again.

You downloaded from 3 different computers, probably through the same connection, but I believe you tried to run them from the same computer that failed every time, just a guess.
Just tried 2 of the links:
http://d-h.st/XJX
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/38127313/RootEvo4GNew.zip
and I'm currently in the process of trying the 3rd.
http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/H...otEvo4GNew.zip from your link here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1771755
They work just fine. The problem appears to be on your end. All three downloads are OK.
And if that's not the case, here is the same file that I have been using since last year that others have downloaded. So if this one fails as well, then yes, there is definitely something wrong on your end.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/38127313/P....15.00.0808_NV_2.15_release_220182_signed.zip
Also, I'm going to downgrade and S-OFF my old Evo with the same files just to verify that they are OK.

In the past with my thunderbolt and downloading the same files I have noticed if I can not open the zip file and see what is in it then it will not properly flash. But just for the sake of argument I will do it your way.

If you have to you could always download the froyo RUU and pull the rom.zip from it, rename to PC36IMG.zip and flash
To do this, run the RUU but do not click anything after it opens
With the RUU still open, open a "Run..." window (WindowsKey + R) and type in "%temp%" then enter to go to your temporary files folder
Sort the files by date modified and go into the most recent folders, find a zip called "rom.zip" and copy that to your desktop
Close the RUU, rename the "rom.zip" to "PC36IMG.zip" and you can then flash it through bootloader
Sent from my PG06100
Yep, the downloads do work. There is nothing wrong with any of the files. Phone went from 2.18, S-ON to 6.16, S-OFF without any issues from those same downloads.

I'm having the same problem. I just finished repairing my old EVO and looking to downgrade it to 2.15. All the links have bad files. Tried D/L from work, friends house, parents, and to my SGS3. Always get the same message..."cant open the folder... zipped folder is invalid." I've been to numerous sites about this and i'm always directed to the same files. This isn't a rare issue, it's a lot of people. There's something wrong with those files.

No, there isn't. The zip files are encrypted, so most zip programs will throw an error if you try to open them. They should not be unzipped. The files from my post have always and still work fine. Just follow the instructions and stop trying to open the zip!
NOTE: Some browsers will try to automatically open the zip file when download is complete. In that case, try a different browser.
No go, sir. Opening the zip or not, the fact is it doesn't work. I have a few of these files and none of them are recognized when boot loader is brought back up to flash the file. It scans the zip, can't find file, image or anything. Its the same thing no matter which one I use. I'll keep looking for a good procedure and a decent download.

There's nothing wrong with Captain's files or the pc36img.zip files given on this page. They work just fine as usual. I just downloaded one (again) and confirmed it.
Is your phone S-Off? Did you flash a mtd-eng.img file to your misc partition, so that it will downgrade?
If you answer no to both of these questions, then the problem is not necessarily the zip files, but is likely on your end. And if you answered no to both of those questions, then the zip files are not likely going to work for you.
And, if one of your answers is yes, then it could be a problem with your sdcard. Sometimes they are full, or not formated correctly, or have some other issue, which will also cause the files to fail. You cannot always assume that just because a file does not work the way you expect it to, that it is necessarily something wrong with that file.
Hey guys,
sorry if this is a bit redundant however, I searched and damn near tried everything to fix my phone (LS970, Sprint). LGNPST can't seem to locate the .dll. I have tSilenzio AutoLGNPST installed from .bat file and still can't seem to locate a .dll. Any suggestions? Also my entire EFS data is zero'd out. Please help.

Well I take it that you can't get into recovery? Use irc and go to the #lg-optimus-g channel. At the top of the channel you will see a link that says " Need help? You won't read this but… ". Every possible file you could need for LGNPST will be in those links, as well as detailed instructions on what to do. I am a linux user so my only option was the vmware image found in those links, but it worked brilliantly and is set up exactly as it should be. So if all else fails you can sign up for a free trial of vmware workstation and install the LGNPST vmware image. It is a modified version of Windows with everything for lgnpst already set up.
As far as your efs goes, check out autoprime's thread if you haven't already right here.
I have used all drivers and two different tot files, and it works to reboot, then it fails when I try to get past the first welcome screen... Does it make a difference if the sim card is in or out???
It makes it to preactivation and set phone name, then a second or two later goes back into the reboot stage.
I made it to the settings screen and phone info, and all areas were UNKNOWN

I don't know what went wrong but since you don't have a reply I'll say this... I would start from scratch. Download the tot file AND dll again to a new place on your PC (like desktop). Run LG flash tool again and browse to those 2 files (flash tools likes to remember previous settings). Flash again and let us know the result. Sim card doesn't make a difference.
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/LS980/Stock_Firmware if you need it, always flashed reliably for me.

It will take a bit of reading but you will learn a lot!
Here's a guide with some commands, you just need to tailor it to your needs/paths, it says Samsung but all you need are the commands.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2141817
If you have ioroot on your computer you have ADB. Plug in your phone in recovery mode and check device manager. It's probably under "unknown" as LG-LS980. You need to right-click and select "update driver", then manually select driver. From the list, you should be able to find something like Android composite ADB device. Select that one and it should then be recognized as ADB.
Hold Shift and right click on the ioroot folder and select "Open command window here", then in cmd type "adb devices". If all is good you will get a serial number as it detects your device. Once you got this you are ready to enter commands, check that guide for the right command to push the file to: /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/
as stated by Autoprime here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451390
I hope that's enough info to get you going. You should type "adb shell" first in ADB so you have access to root.
---------- Post added at 09:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:03 AM ----------
Oh crap... I just re-read that. I don't think this will work if your backup is from TWRP. That needs to be restored from TWRP. Do you not have a backup from ioroot? That contains the img files you need.
---------- Post added at 09:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 AM ----------
Ok, I found this...
"Even though all TWRP backup files carry the extension .win, they are either tar archives or filesystem images. System, data, cache and .android_secure are backed up as tar archives or gnu-zipped tar archives if compression is enabled. You can rename those .win files to .tar (.tar.gz if compressed) and extract them like a regular archive. Boot and recovery partitions are backed up as .img files using dd"
from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1694617
I couldn't find out if TWRP backs up EFS to .tar or .img. Once you figure that out you should be able to rename them to modemst1.img and modemst1.img. I just verified on mine that the files are the same size, so I would guess they are actually img files and not compressed. They should be 3MB in size.
There's a lot more info in that thread by Autoprime that should help.
