Hey all,
I discovered a strange bug that I'd appreciate if anyone could shed light on.
I have rooted my note 2 using the toolkit, and left it on the stock rom.
I havn't noticed before rooting, but now whenever I send a text containing the @ symbol, like an email, the @ symbol is gone from the receiving device. So
Code:
[email protected]
becomes
Code:
email email.com
. Also texts that I receive are missing the @ symbol. Though I noticed they show up in my Google Voice app that I have integrated with my Sprint number.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas?
Thanks!
Wow yup does that here also

While sending an email I clicked the tab at the end of the To: section then went into logs and the phone has been logging every email address I have gotten an email from and sent an email to.
I have tried everything to clear this log as it is becoming huge, does anyone know how to clear this log, it sucks that it is logging even spam emal addresses.
Anyone?
Plus one. Same issue here. What the heck is this bs. Every incoming and outgoing email is logged. How do we clear or stop this from happening...

Anybody else? This issue is annoying and obtrusive. This should be stickied so a fix can be found.

Is there any way we can sticky this thread until this issue gets resolved?
Im sure its all of the Galaxy S3's doing it.
Hi, I'm running a rooted AT&T GS3 with KyanROM 1.5. I'm able to send MMS messages to people with no problem, but I can't receive MMS messages. I don't even receive anything on my phone telling me I have a MMS message. I'm pretty sure the message is sent though because, after my friend sent me a MMS, when I restart my phone on the bottom I receive a message saying "Currently unable to download. Please try again later" I have auto-retrieve messages enabled and I have mobile data enabled. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: I tried installing GO SMS and restarting my phone, but I had the same problem.

U need to make sure original messaging app is still on the phone and not disabled. Even if u use ha cent or another third party. I have found that to b only way to get hand cent to work with mms.
U can still disable notifications on messaging app and mark button on hand cent making it default.
Good luck.

Hi,
I recently converted a couple Sprint Epic Touch 4G to PagePlus MVNO service. I used the CDMAFlash tool to do a half flash. Everything works that I need (i.e. voice, text. No data as I don't need it). The only outstanding issue is the missing LED alert that notifies me of awaiting voicemails. I've searched but to no avail. Could I ask those in the know how I might be able to resolve this issue with the missing voicemail notifier? Currently on official Samsung 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Thanks everyone.
P.S. If this is not in the proper forum, my apologies and please move as appropriate.
Not sure if this works for you. Hit your phone shortcut then settings there should be a voicemail notification option.

I'm rockin a note 2 and I recently bought my gf a S4. She was able to receive pictures until about a week or so ago from me. Now it keep saying failed for her. She's away on a business trip for a few weeks so I can't actually see the phone myself. She did say she her Gmail account got disabled for some reason and she hasn't been able to send emails. Don't know if it's related. Any ideas?

To get mms messages you must have data enabled, and be in an area with data available. Maybe she's in an area that's not a strong signal.
When I first got my phone sending/receiving mms was iffy. It would "failed"on sending. Receiving I would only get there header and it would say downloading but fail or the picture would come in hours later. I went into the apn settings and did a "reset to default" even though the settings were already correct. Seems to have solved it for me.
Also like already mentioned, could just be the area or network issues.

Yesterday I started a text group to send to multiple people's numbers. It worked fine for a while, now this isn't sending to the users. I even started a new text group to see if that was the problem. Still wouldn't work. Is this a phone issues or carrier issue. I have tmobile and there are 7 people that I was texting to.
Check the Verizon data drop thread here in this Q&A thread. Appears to be the same issue or similar. Does your data drop out at all after this issue occurs? What message do you get with the group messaging problem?
It just says not sent. Touch to try again
