Hi, I'm running a rooted AT&T GS3 with KyanROM 1.5. I'm able to send MMS messages to people with no problem, but I can't receive MMS messages. I don't even receive anything on my phone telling me I have a MMS message. I'm pretty sure the message is sent though because, after my friend sent me a MMS, when I restart my phone on the bottom I receive a message saying "Currently unable to download. Please try again later" I have auto-retrieve messages enabled and I have mobile data enabled. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: I tried installing GO SMS and restarting my phone, but I had the same problem.

U need to make sure original messaging app is still on the phone and not disabled. Even if u use ha cent or another third party. I have found that to b only way to get hand cent to work with mms.
U can still disable notifications on messaging app and mark button on hand cent making it default.
Good luck.

I'm having some issues with mms messages on my phone. I have searched on google and the forums. I haven't found anything to help me yet. My mms messaging was working fine I sent and received several messages the day before. I installed gosms pro and used it for a day and a few people sent me some mms messages. The messages werent downloading. I would keep clicking on the download button but a few minutes later it would say it failed and show the download button again. I uninstalled gosms and I still cannot download mms messages even in the stock messages app. At first I thought it was the network, but i put my sim card in my old iphone and it was receiving picture messages without issue. I have tried everything i could think of short of reflashing because I don't want to have to spend hours setting up all of my apps and settings again. I don't know if I am missing something. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone seen this before? Thanks in advance for any help.
My carrier forces me to send and receive mms over 3G. I am unable to send or receive using Wifi. Do you have 3G truned on and network coverage? If not try that. Also check the Access Point Names (apn) are the same on both phones.
Check in the apps settings as there are sometimes filter settings (max size etc.) that can be changed. From personal experience AtAT limits the size and theres no way around it.

I have signal. I can make calls just fine and browse the internet without problem. It is only when sending mms messages. That is why I am confused. I set the apn settings back to default then checked those entries against what others were saying here and they are all correct. I even went and cleared the app data of the messaging app to reset all of its settings.
New development. Now I can't send sms messages. I just tried this morning to send a few text messages and it just keeps saying that the message failed to send. I have no idea if im not receiving incoming messages now, but I haven't gotten any since yesterday afternoon. What could possibly cause all incoming and outgoing messages to stop working? i don't get it.

Stock AT&T phone, stock APN settings. Bought it from Best Buy. and I was able to send a couple but it took a long time for them to go through and now I can't send any. I've tried to reset the APN to defaults but that doesn't work. I've tried another APN to no avail
I haven't tried a third party app yet any maybe it's just my location but has anyone else had this issue? If so, did you find a solution?

To be honest I have issues with MMS alot as well, not with sending but receiving them, sometimes I will just get a blank message that clearly shows its a MMS, but no pic, I ask the sender to send again, and it comes right through.
Hi, guys!
I need help with group sms. I've been looking online for the answers and there's no clear and direct answer about group sms.
Here's the situation...
I'm using GoSMS. It's great, period. Sending Group SMS is also good, no problem (except for incorporating appellation, it's better if it uses the Nick rather than the whole name). Now, the problem is when a person replies to my group sms. It's goes to my inbox separately. And when other's also reply to my group sms, then ALL of them comes back in separate threads. Is there a way or an app that can fix this basic need?
I just want all the "replies" to be in the same thread.
In GoSMS: Settings > Advanced > Send Settings > MMS Group Chat
If you are on 4.2.1 the stock messaging app has the same feature. It is also under the settings menu.

Hi! Thanks. I checked that and when I tried to send a message to a group of people, it says "converting to mms". I'm just trying to send a regular text. Unless if group text really is an MMS type of communication and can't be done via regular text. I am thinking that if I can send group text/sms, I should also be able to receive them in regular text, right? But I prefer in to RECEIVE their REPLIES in one thread. (Now it stucked to sending)

As far as im aware the only way to send a group text is via mms. This is a problem for us Android users because our mms messages have to go through the carrier (dont quote me on this) while the iPhones iMessage's are sent via internet so it is much faster. I heard if you use Tmobiles Wifi calling your mms messages will send over the internet like an iphone but I have never tested it.
I flashed P.A.C. MAN ROM for Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3.
I cannot receive nor send MMS.
I am using stock messaging app.
When I send it jsut says 'sending...' and never goes through.
When I am trying to receive, it will show a new message in my notification bar, but once I try to open the message it opens as if I was about to create a new message.
PLEASE HELP!

This is a relatively common thing and there are a couple of fixes for it. Look at the thread I posted a couple of weeks ago for what worked for me. In my thread I linked to the main thread where the solution was found (didn't work for me and I had to use a different APN file, but it's still there). There is also another person on that thread that had some other method fix it for them.
I'm rockin a note 2 and I recently bought my gf a S4. She was able to receive pictures until about a week or so ago from me. Now it keep saying failed for her. She's away on a business trip for a few weeks so I can't actually see the phone myself. She did say she her Gmail account got disabled for some reason and she hasn't been able to send emails. Don't know if it's related. Any ideas?

To get mms messages you must have data enabled, and be in an area with data available. Maybe she's in an area that's not a strong signal.
When I first got my phone sending/receiving mms was iffy. It would "failed"on sending. Receiving I would only get there header and it would say downloading but fail or the picture would come in hours later. I went into the apn settings and did a "reset to default" even though the settings were already correct. Seems to have solved it for me.
Also like already mentioned, could just be the area or network issues.
