After a lot of battling and punching monitors, I can finally give you the first alpha for AOKP 4.1.2 based on the 2.6 Kernel! So here's the credits first;
Arco68: For his sources for our Galaxy W and his help in my building process and helping me understand it better;
Team AOKP: For their great fork of the AOSP/CM sources;
My flatmate: For helping me fix a few errors with compiling;

I might, I've been looking to port AOSP 4.2.1 aswell, but I need to know if no one is doing it aswell.

just recently re-uploaded Kezra_VP1.1 in general)
will try as soon i cope with my studies)
seems that LED means camera flash and using it like a torch, everything is about camera HAL

As a small update, I won't be releasing a new version just yet, but I fixed Sound settings and Theme Chooser already. Still want to un-break ROM control and camera before a new release.
I'll probably change bootanimation too.

Got one within 15 minutes of install. Was trying to change the theme in theme manager. :crying::crying:

Random reboots r always there
sometimes u may not get any in a day too while sometimes you may get a couple , in 5 minutes
it's a source bug

I think users must know it that, Random reboots is due to multi tasking. Like I didn't get a single reboot from 1 day ( Coz I didn't do anything except receiving calls) but Y'day I was listening songs & then rebooted 3 times within 5 mins.

No offence but the OP clearly states " CM 10.2 bugs"
And random reboots is a cm10.2 bug so i guess it clears it to one and all, that as soo as one mentions "CM 10.2 bugs" , EACH AND EVERY bug discussed in the CM10.2 general thread or any CM10.2 related thread , EXISTS by default!!!!

Copy all avatar rom related lines from port to base in build.prop
Or contact the original developer

Nope. I think its because the Avatar Rom is a Nightly build and all the stable builds are based on Android 4.2.2. If Avatar Rom comes in a stable 4.3 I think then the themes will work.

I don't think that is the issue
I asked ppl who have used 4.3 version and themes can be switched
Either the rom isn't recognizing itself top b an avatar rom or it's not recognizing i9500 as a device supported

No dude. Same issue. Themes cannot be changed due to old avatar rom. But it boots up with the Coral blue theme which you have given in the build.prop

What version of avatar is this ported from? Looks like you're missing a couple of lines in the build.prop. Add ro.themeengine.version=101 to the build.prop and this should start working for you.

Tats in the build.prop which arjav gave me. I added tat to the build and still cannot change theme. Says old Avatar version.

The formatting on that line seems to be a little off. Also there is a change in the frameworks.jar that is required for this to work correctly as well. That might have broken something. If CM or some other ROM has support for i9500, I would be more than happy to compile a version for you guys here!

Yeah there is a working CM for 9500. But I replaced the app and framework folder from avatar rom to CM 10.2 and I got NFC errors. So I replaced all NFC related files from Avatar to CM 10.2 and was able to boot without any problems. For the CM 10.2 download please refer this link CM 10.2 discussion

U cant compare it with ics 4.0.4 is it worth to try? U can compare it when u flash it
Its kernel related u are free to use another kernel but do with your own risk

Yes, there is no charging animation and it is an intended feature by SlimRoms. If you want it back... just let me know in private. :good:

Hi krislibaeer,
i've read you used the new cm10.2 branches for your first release of the pacman rom, which should be not as smooth as the old branches. So, my question is, what branches did you use for slimbean and if you used the new one are you going to update slimbean to the old ones as well, with an performance increase on this rom too?

The point is that I already pushed my zImage and 5 modules to proper folders but I'm a bit afraid to brick the device with those files inside... Maybe it will have successful result, but I need your approve!

Delete the files it is just a placeholder to see where to put the files they do nothing it is a empty file so no brick risk

Thanks... Rather great zip! It simplifies the process so that you don't have to use Kitchen for unboxing/packing kernel image.
So now I've successfully completed the update of kernel to 3.4.68! And it is flying...

[*]Boot To ClockWorkMod

[*]Go to Advanced option and Reboot Recovery
(If on CWM recovery), otherwise restart the system

This Recovery will only support Ext4, Ext3 or Ext2 formatted Custom ROMs.
No RFS support has been included here.
So dont come with the issues when having any stock ROM or stock based RFS custom ROM installed.

That's not true.
This dev is currently porting CWM based on KitKat for many msm7x27 devices (Gio included), and also shared a first CM11 release for one of them. Just wait and ask him about progress..

My gio bricked installing the tass- 6.0.4.5.zip recovery,during the install it sayd something about gio isnt rooted or so,i now it is rooted(root app from store)so i went on,then after rebooting the gio i cant get furder as SAMSUNG logo,no recovery anymore i only can get in downloadmode.
should it be possible to flash an older recovery with (virtualbox)ODIN?SOLVED i flashed an older 5 cwm with windows7 in virtualbox which worked out,but you need the right usb drivers installed...
Is it by the way possible to use HEIMDALL,is this support the samsung galaxy gio?

"Tass" is for Galaxy Mini. You installed the recovery for a wrong device.

@yajnab, the "Zip Package" in OP linked to Galaxy Mini CWM!
Please fix it to prevent people flashing wrong CWM to GIO.
