Hi everyone,
This is the Avatar Rom ported from the latest build for the Xperia Z. It is a CM 10.2 based Rom with a minimal feel of CM and theming capability of MIUI. Onscreen navigation buttons are available as default and the Rom has the same bugs as the CM 10.2 roms.

Nope. I think its because the Avatar Rom is a Nightly build and all the stable builds are based on Android 4.2.2. If Avatar Rom comes in a stable 4.3 I think then the themes will work.
I don't think that is the issue
I asked ppl who have used 4.3 version and themes can be switched
Either the rom isn't recognizing itself top b an avatar rom or it's not recognizing i9500 as a device supported

No dude. Same issue. Themes cannot be changed due to old avatar rom. But it boots up with the Coral blue theme which you have given in the build.prop

What version of avatar is this ported from? Looks like you're missing a couple of lines in the build.prop. Add ro.themeengine.version=101 to the build.prop and this should start working for you.

Tats in the build.prop which arjav gave me. I added tat to the build and still cannot change theme. Says old Avatar version.
The formatting on that line seems to be a little off. Also there is a change in the frameworks.jar that is required for this to work correctly as well. That might have broken something. If CM or some other ROM has support for i9500, I would be more than happy to compile a version for you guys here!

Yeah there is a working CM for 9500. But I replaced the app and framework folder from avatar rom to CM 10.2 and I got NFC errors. So I replaced all NFC related files from Avatar to CM 10.2 and was able to boot without any problems. For the CM 10.2 download please refer this link CM 10.2 discussion

What is King Kang?

Great ROM, feels very smooth with Franco's r298 kernel.
My findings so far:
1. Everytime I change the UI under "Settings/ParanoidAndroid Settings/Launch" to Tablet, Phaplet or Phone the device is stacked at the boot screen (I have to pull the battery out and the reboots fine with the new settings)
2. When I try to enter Screen Security under "Settings/Lockscreen" I get a settings FC
3. Torch in AOKP toggles not working
4. Camera app when in Tablet UI not working

its safer to press the power buttons for around 10 sec and the phone will reboot by itself...
I can't change the UI mode on the Hybrid menu, the SU pop-up is way too big (like if its DPI setting was messed up), i cant see the Allow/Reject buttons so i cant accept changes.
Even after doing a wipe i have the issue
Superuser has an issue. Use SuperSU instead and delete the Superuser apk from /system/app

seems that LED means camera flash and using it like a torch, everything is about camera HAL
As a small update, I won't be releasing a new version just yet, but I fixed Sound settings and Theme Chooser already. Still want to un-break ROM control and camera before a new release.

I get it booting atleast as it is a alpha build if you want to see miracle dont flash modem but your phone get fc....

I noticed there was a link to a radio/modem download.
What is that for?
I've recently messed up my phone by flashing the wrong region stock rom, and I can't get it back to stock for my region - so I constantly get issues with it saying roaming, and not receiving texts.
I'm wondering if your radio might fix this?

Ankur you can try to work with Galaxy Mini devs like erikcas rohan007 and TheWhisp, this phone is similiar to callisto and maybe it will easier to fix bugs

I tested this today...here is my review...
As u said this is in alpha, so first face too many fc...and then flashed after delete phon.apk and mms.apk and rom boots normally no fc during start up...
Bt network still not recognize and usb can't recognize and sd card is not open..
baseband version also show unknown...
Bt nice work and hope u will fix this all soon in ur next built...

Myself and my friend xboxfanj present you the Chameleon OS based on CM 10.2 sources. This project would not have been possible without xboxfanj who built and compiled the Rom. I also sincerely thank doga.ozkaraca who always creared my doubts and was very helpful in building the rom.

Yes, see the screenshot. One at 7.17 and the last one at 9.00. No reboot till that.

Got one within 15 minutes of install. Was trying to change the theme in theme manager. :crying::crying:

Random reboots r always there
sometimes u may not get any in a day too while sometimes you may get a couple , in 5 minutes
it's a source bug

I think users must know it that, Random reboots is due to multi tasking. Like I didn't get a single reboot from 1 day ( Coz I didn't do anything except receiving calls) but Y'day I was listening songs & then rebooted 3 times within 5 mins.

No offence but the OP clearly states " CM 10.2 bugs"
And random reboots is a cm10.2 bug so i guess it clears it to one and all, that as soo as one mentions "CM 10.2 bugs" , EACH AND EVERY bug discussed in the CM10.2 general thread or any CM10.2 related thread , EXISTS by default!!!!

And yes it should be mentioned, @hatememarkz brought this up to @Kiltnar to make for us. Although I have gotten my phone back in order finally, I will not rule out trying this later on down the line. AOKP is a great ROM and I've used it off and on since the Galaxy Exhibit days.

Built this for the skyrocket first. That's why it's listed first. A little further down is the Hercules link.
Haven't had anyone mention any problems with Bluetooth on the sky side.

Great rom. Been a while since I've been on AOKP.
Any plans to add the ability to turn off capacitive button backlight and reconfigure hardware keys? I prefer using a Nav bar and having the buttons on and working gets in the way.
Thread has been cleaned. Keep it respectful and within the rules.
Loving this ROM. Switched from LiquidSmooth to this and it's going great. One problem is that the bluetooth problem happens on this one too. So I guess the problem is across the board on KK and not ROM specific. Battery life is amazing and sleep is working nicely in comparison to the other KK that has weird wakelocks.
I think we're all using cm source now for all builds. So expect the Bluetooth problem on "most" ROMs.
