[Q] after upgrading my HBOOT phone not charging ? help - HTC One X

Hi , I just upgrade my Hboot from 1.12 to 1.39 and flash a new ROM and My phone is not charging anymore..
I have tried other Roms but it still same results and it only charge when its turned off ?
cidnum: HTC__001 ... anyone ?

Charge the phone to full when its off ! Then boot into the bootloader. Lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Keep the phone in the bootloader and run this RUU from the pc with administrator rights !
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_5.1204.162.29_release_302015_signed.exe
It will bring you back to full stock JB ..... see if the problem is gone after this.
Note : it will delete everything so backup what's needed, even the sdcard to be sure !!!

Tried to flash rom from cyanogenmod 10 to sense rom, possibly bricked

I ordered a used HTC One X and it arrived today, needed to get a micro sim for it so i bought it, however whenever I tried to enter the sim unlock code on start up it kept saying request unsuccessful. After searching on this forum I found that the problem was because the phone had already been flashed on cyanogenmod 10, I was told that I would have to flash to a 'sense' rom for me to be able to unlock the sim. Having done this now I have managed to possibly brick my phone.
It gets passed the HTC logo and the jellybean loading screen keeps looping (jellybeans floating around screen). I downloaded the all-in-one kit and tried flashing stock recovery and kernal, and it managed to get past the booting screen to a screen showing that android is updating. however once it got to updating the last app it got stuck again. since then i havent managed to get back on that screen, just a continuous bootloop.
the phone originally was on Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2, with cyanogenmod 10(i think it was 10)
I tried flashing it to this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970

perhaps I could fastboot an RUU?
Would really appreciate any help you could offer :crying:
also did the following
"If you have stock recovery
Download a Custom Recovery
Then flash it with the command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.3.1-endeavoru.img
Now you can flash a new ROM or nandroid backup"
now i cant even get to recovery. trying to flash recovery from all-in-one kit and it just says "waiting for device" now
Do you know fastboot commands
Phone in bootloader/fastboot usb mode
Fastboot getvar version-main

I re-installed HTC Sync and managed to get connected to fastboot again
the version is 1.29.061.11
ive also managed to get CWM recovery working again
Here is the link to the ruu you need
http://androidfiles.org/ruu/securek...Radio_1.1204.105.14_release_260736_signed.exe
Install :
Put the phone in fastboot usb mode and lock the bootloader
Fastboot oem lock
Keep the phone in fastboot usb mode and right click the ruu on the pc and run it with admin rights !
It will bring back the phone to full stock and you will also be able to update the phone to software 2.17 ICS and after that to software 3.14 JB
Note : it will wipe the whole phone so back up stuff if needed
I managed to get it working in the end by doing that same method, took me forever to find the right ruu!
Thanks for your help :good:
Hey guys! It seems I've run into the same problem but unfortunately this fix is not applicable to me because my hboot is 3.16, which means there is no RUU available for my device! Can anyone help me??

[Q] Back to basic?

If I really really want to do a super duper factory reset. What should I do? I'm on ARHD 18.2 and hboot 1.39. 3.14.401.31 5.1204.162.29
Back to basic as far as i can...
I have issues with my wifi, I have to restart the wifi after awhile. My screen behave strange and in non responsive from time to time. The battery drains in like 8 hours, earlier it was ok for like 36 hours, that was i think when I used hboot 1.31. All this errors appeared when I went for hboot 1.39 I think.
I understand that downgrading hboot is not possible. But everything else?!?
Thanks for assisting.
Run a RUU for a super duper factory reset ruu.androidfiles.org
I guess you need to do the fastboot command
Fastboot getvar version-main
I think that the main version posted by henrik is from the custom rom that is based on 3.14.401.....
RUU failed.
Shoud I do anything pre RUU?
Fastboot something? Relock?
Yes the bootloader needs to be relocked. And you have to run the ruu with administrator rights. And keep the phone in the bootloader/fastboot usb mode
Are you sure you got the right ruu. Did you do
Fastboot getvar version-main
And did it came up with the same number you posted in the first post ?

Yes same number.
When i lock it it will only boot to bootloader. To run RUU I need to get in to the phone.
Should I do anyting else in fastboot?
Regards
/Henrik
You can run the ruu in fastboot mode too.
Yeah like i said in my previous post
Thanks allot, now i'm back to scratch. The issues with the touchpanel is still there, the top part is not consistent sometime it works and sometime it doesn't. We will see if the batterylife is better.
Thanks again.

No problem mate, i hope it Works out fine for you in the end

your hboot is to low to flash the latest roms (its 1.12) you can install all ICS roms but not newer ones. You need to update the hboot first. go to the general section en look for the collection of stock backups thread and find the nand backup that matches your main.

Go tot the HTC ONE X+ forum and stay in there, do not go to another forum section !!!

What's the OS- no. on the bootloader ? If it is the same as above, just follow the guide. If it is different, we need to see whether is there any RUU for your device.

You will lose all data .. there is no way to backup without a working OS.
Before you follow that procedure, you can try this first. If this is working for you, you'll not losing any data.
1. You need the drivers : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926362&postcount=4
2. Download the official signed fw_6.12.401.4.zip - https://mega.nz/#!GIJyzDgT!wNwGGtRtmpdcnzpfQQj7oSOoK_g06Us80GWKJYnvOgA
3. run these commands
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip fw_6.12.401.4.zip
you'll see ERROR/FAILED, repeat
fastboot flash zip fw_6.12.401.4.zip
fastboot reboot
see whether your device is booting or not.
If no .. than follow the earlier procedure
If still not successful, only HTC Centre can fix your device as it maybe a hardware failure.
