It looks like a great phone. I don't think I can down grade to a smaller screen. I have to say, the HTC one screen is really nice at 4.7in. 1080p.
Nah looks like an iphone, and HTC has got a lot of catching up to do in order to dethrone Samsung. Besides I couldn't ever go back to a smaller screen now that the note 2 has spoiled me
The only people I can see picking this phone up are loyal HTC supporters and iPhone users who are sick of apple and finding android more and more the way to go.

Been there had that and not going back! Note 2 is top phone to me
Had 6 HTC phones in a row before the Note 2. (Touch Pro, Touch Pro2, Hero, Evo, Evo 3D, Evo 4G LTE). With each new should be game changing Android phone I had to deal with some issue that a flagship phone shouldn't have. Hero was slow as hell, Evolved had a FPS cap and horrible battery, Evo 3D had horrible battery and slowly updated, Evo 4G LTE had average non removable battery, slow updates and ****ed multi tasking.
The One has a few strikes from me even before it comes out. Small non removable battery, and starting on 4.1.2. With the battery life and upgrade track record on HTC phones I just cannot get onboard. Samsung is going to have to mess up big time and HTC is really going to have to step it up if I will ever switch back.
Absolutely no effin way! After owning the 3D, which was an absolute pos, then going to the epic touch, I swore I would never look back! Not only that but those things are real ***** too unlock and root. And with this new one who the hell knows when or if that will even happen. Good luck with that. Had this thing rooted just an hour after I got it with the greatest of ease. I'm sorry HTC but you've had your chance with lots of loyal customers and completely blew it. Not to mention also their update process absolutely blows too. Ok I'm done.

ill pick one up off contract i'm sure...Early reports show the camera isn't all that great..But no one has really had time to review it yet so we shall see.
Note 3 for me. I love htc phones but the locked bootloader and lack of updates made me switch to Samsung.
Sent from a galaxy note 2 far far away...
Htc does so many things wrong. First off when you mount the phone to your computer you can only see the external storage, and to see the external storage the phone looses access to it. Second htc splits the internal storage up. One tiny partition to install your apps on and another partition for your pics and data. I don't want to have to keep going through my installed apps and manage which internal partition they are installed on. Boot time on htc vs Samsung is almost 3 times as long and I came from an EVo lte.

I switched from the Evo 3D about 1 month ago. I have nothing but good things to say about the gnex. I really liked the evo 3D when I had it. I thought I liked sense, but didn't realize how much of a pig it was until I switched to stock Android.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
I loved my EVO 3D, but I was always a bit upset at myself for upgrading from my EVO 4G. even though it was nice to go from from single core to dual it wasn't really that big of an improvement that I couldn't have waited.
I ended up leaving Sprint and needed a new phone, so I got a G-Nex. I am fully satisfied with my decision. I have to admit, I'm a bit of a benchmark junkie though. My rooted E3D was a beast. The G-Nex is not quite as good at benches, but I love it still. Vanilla makes all the difference.
However, i switched because i left sprint and needed a new phone. Sounds like you plan on sticking with Sprint. You'll likely be using an upgrade to switch to the nexus. And it is also likely you're last annual upgrade. That being the case, I probably wouldn't upgrade. I would wait for the next nexus, a quad core, or both. Like I said, I like the nexus better but it certainly isn't worth an upgrade and then being locked into it for two years.

OK so we all know the GS3 is, to date, the best phone. But after all the phones we've gone through, there's that one "special" phone. That special phone could be special for any reason...which one would it be for you.
I'll start it off..
Mine was the Nexus One...IMO, the greatest Nexus of all time.
Because at the time, not many people had it, since you had to really want it to get it. It was solidly built by HTC, had the most RAM, and was just the easiest to tinker.
Not to mention people used to see it and say, "is that the Nexus One? Can I see it" ....and they'd hold it like it was baby Jesus.
And how about your worst smartphone ever, or at least the most disappointing "smartphone"?
Mine would have to be the Xperia X10, out of the box. I feel sorry for my wife when I tried to sway her away from her 3Gs to Android via Xperia X10. Let's just say she's not fond of Android up to now.

I would have to say my favorite would be the phone that started the smartphone craze for me. That would be the AT&T Tilt 8925. It's what got me started here at XDA and began my flashing craze. I'd hate to have to go back to it now though.
I will be way back to Nokia N75. I love this phone old good flip phone. But of smartphones must be samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket.
My favorite was the Desire Z.....too bad my boy knocked it out of my hands and down the stairs, of course that's why I ended up with my S3 . Maybe I should fire up eBay and find a screen.....

Maemo linux, desktop-like multitasking, root from the box, Carl Zeiss optics/dedicated camera button/lens cover slider - best cameraphone I've ever had.
I was hoping that Nokia will get things right with N9, create and promote vast app ecosystem, instead they turned to the dark side(
My next hope was WebOS, failed too and here I am, happy android user.
My fav phone was also my first Android device. The HTC Hero (gsm version).
Oh boy that thing was fun. Didn't root or flash anything for about 4 months but was soooo happy when I took the plunge.

I am very unsure on what I will be doing when my 2 year comes around. I will likely be switching off of sprint unless their speeds increase 10 fold in my area over the next 8 months. From there who knows what phone I will get.
Before this phone I had an HTC EVO that I really liked a lot. I am less than impressed with the Samsung radios so far, but overall this phone is absolutely amazing. I have had a decent amount of playing time with the GS3 and that is one helluva phone as well. If an awesome GS4 is out or a new shiny nexus device I'll likely grab that on ATT as they have nice 4G coverage in my area.
The note though.. It is just too big for me honestly. But I can definitely see how it will appeal to others. Just not my cup of tea.

Unless it's edge-to-edge, I don't want a phone that's any bigger/wider.

Pretty sure the screen won't be bigger than it is now, Samsung isn't that stupid, that's why they have the Note series.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
I agree. 4.8 inches is perfect. If it were "edgeless" or "edge to edge" than yeah go ahead and bump that up while keeping the same size, but the current size is perfect for a phone boarding on phablet.
No reason to go any higher when someone can just buy a Galaxy Note. I can still unlock and use my phone with one hand for the most part. Yeah it's a bit difficult but it can be done!

It's a good phone. I'm going to root it soon because in it's present state I feel that performance could be better and the gross amount of bloatware is incredibly annoying. I have used the speed test app and I'm T-Mo and managed to get a max of 27.80Mbps. Not to shabby. I did realize later that the size of the phone is quite big for my hands but the screen real estate makes up for it. I don't think I would have gotten anything else. Battery is great as well.

Im assuming you're kidding? Otherwise you would not be floating around the gs3 forum still?
If you are serious, what do you mean "didnt know whether you were coming or going"? What does that even mean lol?
and by mentioning the "htc one", im assuming you mean the "one S". So that being said, no removable storage card and no removable battery, doesnt that speak for itself? Good luck with that one, or did you overlook those two missing features?
If you are serious, can you explain why u chose the htc one s over the gs3?
To the other person, the note 2 looks nice but from what i was reading, it seems a little big.
And also, people keep mentioning the nexus. Is it better than the gs3 better?
I like it, overall pretty good. WiFi performance and Wi-Fi calling are very bad. If you are planning on using WiFi calling DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
The s3 is light years ahead of the lg, that's a 2 year old phone that wasn't even that great to begin with. IMO the only other phone out right now to compare with the s3 is samsung's own Note2, but that's a giant phone and definitely not for everybody. If you wait a little longer LG's new superphone is around the corner but who know's when exactly it'll be released.

I love it so much. I do have an issue with the battery running out quickly but I think I have a faulty battery. Not sure. Other than that it's the best phone I've had. I don't think there's anything better out there.
The only other phone i would consider is the new Nexus coming out simply for the updates. It still hasn't been announced tho but I'm sure it'll be a fantastic device on par with the S III
