Try to use a friends Tmo-GS2. If you don't mind the lines then buy it, if not, you will get really annoyed from the lines.

If you could get a rezound you wouldn't rather get the nexus? Rezound is using our same Qualcomm S3 MSM8600 chip.
As a phone, the S2 is absolutely fantastic. Does everything I want it to do. As a carrier, I'm still on the fence with t-mobile. Data speeds are plenty fast, but data reception seems to be a mixed bag.
well... when it comes to Reception, that is really the nature of the AWS technology which requires 2 wide bands 1700+2100 for up and down to work
so building penetration is always a compromise

Now that I am on the Galaxy S2, I can tell you that it is by far the best phone that I have ever owned. Even stock, it is absolutely blazing fast. After I put beastmod on it, the thing just flies, and this is before OCing. Keep in mind that ICS is supposed to be able to utilize dual-core technology to it's fullest so when the update comes up (it's not a matter of if, it's a matter of when), our phones will be in for a nice tune-up. As for as internet speeds go, I can tell you that it is BLAZING fast. It is faster and more reliable than when I had my G2 (which was just last year).
I can't post pictures but I can tell you that the fastest I have ever gotten with my S2 (in the same service area that I tested my G2 just last year) is 31MBPS. For daily usage, I consistently get 7-14MBPS. I am downloading HD videos off of Youtube in a matter of 5-10 seconds. I am downloading and finishing music downloads as soon as it pops up in my notifications bar. The phone is fast in every way, and everything flows so well together. No lag, no hassle, it just works.
got my phone a few days back from my awesome girlfriend, amazingly fast, battery only lasts a day, from 9 till 6, as i always use data connection, 1850mhz, not much of juice for this 1.5 dual core monster, resolution is a draw back with this nice screen 4.52" i am talking about, only 480*800? meh, waiting for miui roms........ only alpha versions atm, touchwiz looks gay.
speaker is way better than i9000, louder at least! some people say they want metal back cover, i say hey, it is light!!! with this kinda size!
i would give 9 out of 10 for this phone, i wanna buy the sprint version, lol, cdma 2000. not available in china yet, too bad.
What app do I use to test for lines and blobs?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using xda premium
OK so we all know the GS3 is, to date, the best phone. But after all the phones we've gone through, there's that one "special" phone. That special phone could be special for any reason...which one would it be for you.
I'll start it off..
Mine was the Nexus One...IMO, the greatest Nexus of all time.
Because at the time, not many people had it, since you had to really want it to get it. It was solidly built by HTC, had the most RAM, and was just the easiest to tinker.
Not to mention people used to see it and say, "is that the Nexus One? Can I see it" ....and they'd hold it like it was baby Jesus.
And how about your worst smartphone ever, or at least the most disappointing "smartphone"?
Mine would have to be the Xperia X10, out of the box. I feel sorry for my wife when I tried to sway her away from her 3Gs to Android via Xperia X10. Let's just say she's not fond of Android up to now.

I would have to say my favorite would be the phone that started the smartphone craze for me. That would be the AT&T Tilt 8925. It's what got me started here at XDA and began my flashing craze. I'd hate to have to go back to it now though.
I will be way back to Nokia N75. I love this phone old good flip phone. But of smartphones must be samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket.
My favorite was the Desire Z.....too bad my boy knocked it out of my hands and down the stairs, of course that's why I ended up with my S3 . Maybe I should fire up eBay and find a screen.....

Nokia N900.
Maemo linux, desktop-like multitasking, root from the box, Carl Zeiss optics/dedicated camera button/lens cover slider - best cameraphone I've ever had.
I was hoping that Nokia will get things right with N9, create and promote vast app ecosystem, instead they turned to the dark side(
My next hope was WebOS, failed too and here I am, happy android user.
My fav phone was also my first Android device. The HTC Hero (gsm version).
Oh boy that thing was fun. Didn't root or flash anything for about 4 months but was soooo happy when I took the plunge.
Built solid and was nearly impossible to screw up its was a great learning tool.
Upgrading to an S3 has been simply amazing. I look at my old Hero and can't believe how I got by with that small screen lol.

What is lte?
It's a good phone. I'm going to root it soon because in it's present state I feel that performance could be better and the gross amount of bloatware is incredibly annoying. I have used the speed test app and I'm T-Mo and managed to get a max of 27.80Mbps. Not to shabby. I did realize later that the size of the phone is quite big for my hands but the screen real estate makes up for it. I don't think I would have gotten anything else. Battery is great as well.

Im assuming you're kidding? Otherwise you would not be floating around the gs3 forum still?
If you are serious, what do you mean "didnt know whether you were coming or going"? What does that even mean lol?
and by mentioning the "htc one", im assuming you mean the "one S". So that being said, no removable storage card and no removable battery, doesnt that speak for itself? Good luck with that one, or did you overlook those two missing features?
If you are serious, can you explain why u chose the htc one s over the gs3?
To the other person, the note 2 looks nice but from what i was reading, it seems a little big.
And also, people keep mentioning the nexus. Is it better than the gs3 better?
I like it, overall pretty good. WiFi performance and Wi-Fi calling are very bad. If you are planning on using WiFi calling DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!
The s3 is light years ahead of the lg, that's a 2 year old phone that wasn't even that great to begin with. IMO the only other phone out right now to compare with the s3 is samsung's own Note2, but that's a giant phone and definitely not for everybody. If you wait a little longer LG's new superphone is around the corner but who know's when exactly it'll be released.

Hey Kid. I remember you from the G2x days. Night and day different experience. Everything just works. Screen quality, speed, size, features, everything is better. This is what the android experince should be.You will love gaming on the GS3.
I love it so much. I do have an issue with the battery running out quickly but I think I have a faulty battery. Not sure. Other than that it's the best phone I've had. I don't think there's anything better out there.
The only other phone i would consider is the new Nexus coming out simply for the updates. It still hasn't been announced tho but I'm sure it'll be a fantastic device on par with the S III

Why do you believe that to be the case when it's nearly identical to the Nexus 4 and the bootloader has already been unlocked?
Patience is a virtue my friend, and you do have choices. I see the progress being made with the boot loader and root, as well as an AIO tool already completed, man once these roms get rolling you'll regret not having one.

I was thinking about getting the evo lte but I'm now leaning more to the optimus. Is it really that good?? I'm coming from using an evo 3d...
I really want to get it but I'm still not sure.. Thanks for the help..
As of right now my opinion is this. The phone is solid. The corners are kind of harsh. The hardware is fantastic. Surprisingly from what I have heard in the past on LG the ui is pretty good.
At the moment it has the best specs on Sprint period.
Now, when our comes to development, we will have to wait and see. It is the 4th highest selling Android oem on the 3rd largest provider. From that it is easy to say the S3 on At&t gets more attention. This will also never get the following of the Nexus. But, it does have development.
I would get it. You can also wait for the Flossy seal of approval if you like.

This phone is awesome, I've played Need for Speed Most Wanted, Dark Knight Rises,Asphalt 7, Minecraft, and Modern Combat 4, this phone flies, it gets really hot that's the only issue but that doesn't affect performance at all. Stock UI is surprisingly nice. Screen is amazing. Development hasn't been good but I have no doubt that Roms, Kernels, and Mods will come with due time.

Just bought this beast an hour ago, already rooted and transferring my stuff from my Epic 4G. I compared the LG Mach because I didn't want to give up my physical keyboard ( :crying: ) but in the end the dual-core vs. quad-core was no comparison! Plus, $99 at Best Buy was a steal (Sprint store wouldn't price match).
Like going from a Yugo to a Ferrari!
Switched from AT&T and the Motorola Atrix 4G to Sprint and the LG Optimus G and so far, I haven't regretted switching from AT&T to Sprint and from the Motorola Atrix 4G to the LG Optimus G. Can't wait for JellyBean on this phone. Decided to switch to Sprint since Sprint is the only carrier that now offers truly unlimited data.
Just nabbed the last one today @ BB for $99! Loving it so far. Was originally gonna get the Note 2 but the price won't drop. I couldn't resist this deal. Looking forward to the ROMS!
Got this phone yesterday, traded my s3 for it. Loving it so far, since I've hated the S3 as soon as I got it. Evo LTE was nice too had it for 2 months but the 1gb of RAM was killing me with Sense.
Haven't tinkered with it yet but thinking of just stock rooting just for getting rid of the Ads.
