[Q] XPERIA Play won't start, shows flash mode evertime connected with USB

Hello,
my XPERIA Play is broken and I don't knwo how to fix it.
I've first unlocked the bootloader and then flashed Cyanogenmod 7.1 on it.
But the vibration doesn't have any function and so i flashed with flashtool the stock firmware witch I found in this forum. After that I've started OTA Updater and my phone shutted down. Now it won't start anymore, it vibrates shortly and if you hold the power button longer, it vibrates in dinstances.
When I connect the XPERIA with my computer (Windows 7) the green lights shining and my pc says that it's in flash mode. I can't change to Fastboot Mode.
I've flashed more than once firmwares on the phone, everything I've done couldn't fixe it..
Can anybody help me?

Well you can't get OTA updates when your bootloader is unlocked.Unfortunately I can't help much about the problems with the flash mode since I've never encountered such a problem.So sorry about that.
EDIT:When you try to update Via OTA your phone would surely get bricked because once your bootloader's unlocked SE doesn't consider your phone as warranted and certificates within the phone gets wiped because that would enable flashing 3rd party firmwares and kernels.

I've relocked the bootloader, that wasn't the problem.
I could fix it with flashtool, I only had to flash the bootloader form the developer section and now everything works fine. I can also update with SEUS again (tested from 2.3.3 to 2.3.5)

Good to see that everything's ok now.Btw how did you get to 2.3.5?Only had 2.3.4 on my phone. :/

Oh my mistake, I mean 2.3.4

[SOLVED] Arc stuck on boot logo stock rom, locked, unroot.

a friend has this phone, his children were playing games on the phone and suddenly the phone rebooted and since then the phone is stuck. It boots in to Sony and then Xperia, then a long vibration and back to loop of Sony logo.
It's not rooted, running on 4.04 stock, locked bootloader, and it's not even getting into recovery mode. Please help.

Not yet. I just got the phone and have tried getting into recovery.
I shall try the PC workout later in the evening after reaching home.
What do you suggest?
A reinstall of Rom via companion or flash tools?

First try PC Companion... and i was thinking... if it's not rooted how could you go into recovery mode.... i think it's impossible if you are not root...
So when the last rom will be installed by Pc Compagnion... Root it (flashtools and/or doomlord's method), install a recovery (like X-parts an app on market) and and like that you can do what you want with it...
Tell us if it works...

Oh i see you have habs with samsung's or htc's phone... They have a recovery without root but not the sony's one...

I just have one query...
How will flash tools or companion work when the device does not settles down, as it's in bootloop, from Sony logo to xperia logo, then a short vibration and sometimes a long one and screen goes blank and then Sony logo, and xperia logo, it's going on and on.
Please enlighten.

He was wrong when he said PC Companion, you need to use SEUS, Sony Ericsson Update Service.

You can use SEUS if it works yet but i'm not sure....
BUT you also can use PC COMPANION which works....
No need to turn on the phone, do you know "the flashmode" it's a basic.... so you can follow my tuto on my signature...
AND please follow exactly the steps before posting it doesn't work...
You can also try FLASHTOOLS...

phone back to life.. PC Companion worked in first shot..

i m having the same issue/problem with my Experia Arc S LT18i, its been over 2 weeks i m searching everywhere to find a solution for this boot logo thingy... but nothing seems to work i tried almost everything
phone was on GB Stock 2...my 2 years old niece was playing with it and phone was asking for security Question/ Answer i tried to repair it with PC Companion which took it to ICS i guess, and since then its stuck on BOOT
i tried Flashtool, Emma Update Service.... i tried installing a custom Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308849 which looks amazing but i can't get Network.... Sigh

what kernel you flash with the rom? did you flash the kernel modules

Can someone help Me , my phone is stuck at sony logo , flashtool, seus or pc companion wont recognize it and doesnt charge any idea how to repair it?

i think your hardware is damaged
open your phone and look usb port is fine? ( is compeletly on the mainboard fiXed?)

Ok here is the wholo story,a few days ago my phone fell in water but i managed to repair it ,after a Day or 2 i found it in safe mode, i tried restarting it, factory reset but it didnt work,i tried reflashing it but i could not put it in flash mode so i tried reinstaling ultimate xperia hd which i already had on my phone from cwm but i got a bootloop probably so now i'm stuck at sony logo .
Phone details : xperia arc lti15
Firmware : 4.1.B.0.587 with xperia ultimate hd rom , locked botloader.

if you connect your phone to pc, it is recognized?
if yes try repair using pc compagnion or update center.
if it is not recognized try to copy another rom to your sd card and try to flash to see if it work...

[Q] Booting stuck on SONY logo

Well i was playing NFS then my xperia zl shut down itself. And now everytime i try to turn it on it just stuck on SONY logo.
my phone is rooted but still on locked bootloader. i've tried flashing stock 4.2.2 ROM but still nothing happened
any solutions?

I tried, till it went vibrate 3 times. But the booting was still stuck on SONY logo

Keep your mobile for charging for some time and then reboot,I think it's the battery bug that's preventing the boot..you may have ignored low battery level (below.20%) which may have caused the phone to switch off..

If seus doesn't recognize your device then Download ftf (firmware file) specific to your device and region (search for it in android development) then flash the firmware using latest version of flashtool(really easy and only takes little time)...also remember to check only appslog while flashing and unchecking others(cache,etc),this will flash the firmware without loosing any data and will surely get u rid of the bootloops..for more help this page will help you to flash the firmware properly....( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229250)

my xperia arc s cant open

i have done big mistake during upgrde my xperia arc s by using update tools...during updte batery level around 30%. so it sundelly died...now my phone won’t open...screan become dark...can’t charging....compter can’t detect anymore...i have no ideas to do...can anybody help me...hoping

Repair your phone using PC Companion. Just follow the instructions from the program and your phone should be fully functional in a couple of minutes.

same problem here
my xperia arc s turns on until the sony logo and then stays there forever.
It doesn't seem to charge either when i put it on charge as the red light is off .
How to connect with companion since it doesn't do anything ?

Visit the support zone, use the specific tool for when phone does not boot up. Just look around, you will find it. It will not require you to turn on your phone.

To use pc companion your phone has to boot up and it's impossible to update or fix phone that doesn't boot up via PC Companion you can only fix it with flashtool or SEUS,SEUS can fix the phone when it's turned off it's just like flashtool.

Wrong.
PC Companion has the solution for when phone does not boot up, SEUS does not have it.
