a friend has this phone, his children were playing games on the phone and suddenly the phone rebooted and since then the phone is stuck. It boots in to Sony and then Xperia, then a long vibration and back to loop of Sony logo.
It's not rooted, running on 4.04 stock, locked bootloader, and it's not even getting into recovery mode. Please help.
Thanks.

Hi,
Dis you try, "Sony Companion" or Flashtools" ?
Re: Arc stuck on boot logo stock rom, locked, unroot.
Thanks..
Not yet. I just got the phone and have tried getting into recovery.
I shall try the PC workout later in the evening after reaching home.
What do you suggest?
A reinstall of Rom via companion or flash tools?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
First try PC Companion... and i was thinking... if it's not rooted how could you go into recovery mode.... i think it's impossible if you are not root...
So when the last rom will be installed by Pc Compagnion... Root it (flashtools and/or doomlord's method), install a recovery (like X-parts an app on market) and and like that you can do what you want with it...
Tell us if it works...
/////
Oh i see you have habs with samsung's or htc's phone... They have a recovery without root but not the sony's one...
Re: Arc stuck on boot logo stock rom, locked, unroot.
I just have one query...
How will flash tools or companion work when the device does not settles down, as it's in bootloop, from Sony logo to xperia logo, then a short vibration and sometimes a long one and screen goes blank and then Sony logo, and xperia logo, it's going on and on.
Please enlighten.
Thanks.

He was wrong when he said PC Companion, you need to use SEUS, Sony Ericsson Update Service.
僕のLT18iから送られてきた
You can use SEUS if it works yet but i'm not sure....
BUT you also can use PC COMPANION which works....
No need to turn on the phone, do you know "the flashmode" it's a basic.... so you can follow my tuto on my signature...
AND please follow exactly the steps before posting it doesn't work...
You can also try FLASHTOOLS...
phone back to life.. PC Companion worked in first shot..
thanks a million.

Hello,
I'm using Arconium rom when i tryed to install the CM9 to test, well i just flashed with fastboot the new img from FX and install the rom. The instalation started but returned an error that i don't remember something about lt8i (my phone is lt5i).
I go to flashtool and tryed to get back to stock rom, but without sucess, now my phone show the Sony Ericsson logo and later it stay black.
Thinking i can fix this i relock the bootloader with flashtool files (found on Xperia Arc forum) and still not fix. Now i cannot unlock the bootloader "oem failed" and the phone doesnt start.
Please someone can help-me with a tutorial or something else ?
Take battery out, connect it to pc, press the back button and now plug in the battery again and see if it connects in flashmode then.

Hey Guys,
I tried updating my Xperia Play to ISC . I did what it said but when I rebooted my phone it wouldn't start .All that came up was ''Sony Erirsson'' and I searched about it and got nothing
P.sI cant get it into CWM recovery mode and when i plug it in with the usb cable it says it cannot open it.
Please Help!!
We're going to need a little more information, like what model of Xperia Play do you have, are you definitely unlocked, etc. Don't have much to go on by just the name Xperia Play.
Ok it's a R800i and it is unlocked.

Can you get into fastboot? If so, open recovery via this thread.
Flash back to gingerbread (using FXP or some other GB based ROM)
Then try to re-flash firmware, and see what you get.
Is it bricked?
Guess what? The same thing happened to me at the same time it happened to me.
Mine is a Verizon R800x. I'm not actually sure it's bricked or not but it's stuck on the Sony Ericsson logo. It just stays there. It all happened when I was installing a ice cream sandwich rom on It through clockwork mod recovery until it froze. I left it there for a moment and decided to pull the battery out. I knew it was a bad idea but pulled out the battery anyway. I tried using the flash tool way but mega upload is down so I can't download it and the website is not available for the u.s. I also used the Sony pc companion and used the repair device option but it freezes when there is a bit of the bar left. It's a Verizon Xperia play r800x rooted with a locked boot loader.

Put "R800x_3.0.1.E.0.88_Verizon.ftf" into Google and you should find a site other than MegaUpload, I feel your pain too, most of what I downloaded came from MU. Also, that's why the ROM you flashed screwed up your phone, your Bootloader is locked.
I knew the locked bootloader was going to get in the way but i wanted ics so badly. could someone post another link for flashtool. the one on the forums for megaupload doesn't work and the flashtool website isn't available for the u.s.
Phone fixed!
i fixed my phone! Thanks for the google search term! i just flashed it to my phone and it took some type to reboot. it actually got to the android logo! now it works

Your phone boots in a sequence. Like this your phone boots (Boot loader) and loads your System.IMG ( Android)
They talk to each other now they don't why?
Simple you changed your system.IMG now your BL doesnt know how to talk to your system.
Here is the fix. the Ota (over the air) update broke it. Android version 2.3.4 looks to see if your BL is locked if it not it ignores boot loader. So relock it flash this file to relock ftf.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/g1b5j712ajx4yjd/Xperia_Relock_bootloader.ftf
Then unlock and start over. But this time around use root explorer to delete mobile care apk so when you give it to him he can't update it.
Please hit the thanks but to

I tried, till it went vibrate 3 times. But the booting was still stuck on SONY logo
Keep your mobile for charging for some time and then reboot,I think it's the battery bug that's preventing the boot..you may have ignored low battery level (below.20%) which may have caused the phone to switch off..

If seus doesn't recognize your device then Download ftf (firmware file) specific to your device and region (search for it in android development) then flash the firmware using latest version of flashtool(really easy and only takes little time)...also remember to check only appslog while flashing and unchecking others(cache, etc),this will flash the firmware without loosing any data and will surely get u rid of the bootloops..for more help this page will help you to flash the firmware properly....( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2229250)

my sister's xperia zl phone just stay on turning on and off.. it just stuck on boot, stuck on the sony logo.
it all started when i tried to root my phone using rootgenuis program. while rooting the device it suddenly restarts and stays at boot.
i didnt install any cwm or unlock bootloader, nor install any recovery. i just use that rootgenius program. Please help me.
Hi, all you need to do is go to the Sony website to recover your phone. The update software page has a repair option. There is also a reset button near the sim tray. Hold it down till the phone reboots.

search for the FTF file of your country. flash it using androxyde's flash tool. there are many guides in the forum about flashing. no rooting or unlocking bootloader necessary for this.
i tried what you said and it fixed it.. thanks alot for the support, it really help me alot. i love you guys.. hehe
Now new problem arises.... the phone works but if i try to remove it from charging it will turn off on its own. even if the battery got 40% it still turn off on its own and wont turn on unless i plug it in on a charger or pc.
