In the "Advanced Editor", the section below "POST ICONS" titled "Additional Options", there is a subsection titled "ATTACH FILES" with a button labeled "MANAGE ATTACHMENTS". Press that button and another window will popup allowing you to choose files from your PC or from another location on the web.
In the Upload File window, you will need to scroll the document all the way to the right to see the "Upload" button.

Thanks

Boot help

Hey all i just finished my first boot animation and i went to go put it in what i thought was the right folder...rebooted and nothing...any help?
I did recently flash a theme and it changed the animation, do themes store them somewhere else?
Thanks as always

What rom are you using?
You also have to rename the boot animation to what the old one was before you deleted it and change the permissions.

Im on the mik 2.59
I deleted what i thought was the animation but when i rebooted it still was there...i have no clue where toook i guess...and change permissions?

It may be in a different place on your rom, but on the rom im using, the boot animation is in system/customize/resource. Use root explorer to find it. Make sure you press the "Mount R/W" button at the top and change it to say "Mount R/O" so that way it will let you change permissions and stuff. Delete old boot animation rename yours to whatever the old one was, for example "bootanimation.zip" or htc_bootanimation.zip" After that, long press on your boot animation file and then press "permissions". Change to where it looks like this "rw-r--r--" In other words have "owner, group, and others" all checked on the "read" column. Then check mark "owner" again under the "write" column. That's all that needs to be check marked, uncheck everything else.

Idk how es file explorer is set up cause ive never used it, only root explorer and when i first open vthe app, i scroll all the way down abd there is a "system" folder. Make sue you are not in your sdcard folder. It should d have a "system" folder on there somewhere. Guess its hiding from you lol

I just downloaded es explorer and couldn't find the "system" folder. You may need to download root explorer.

Google now universal search and double tap.

So I updated to the new stock build and realized universal search was gone. But after installing Google now it serves just like the universal search. Just in case anybody was wondering.
Is there a way to make it come up when the home button is pressed twice? Like svoice did (I disabled svoice double tap)

To fix the google search goto /system/app/googlequicksearchbox_usa.apk and rename it by deleting the usa at the end. Reboot and back to normal.
I think there is an app in the store that will assign the home key like you want. Cant remember the name though. Search for home key or button reasign and you'll probably find it.
Edit: i think its Home2 Shortcut

Do I have to rename the odex to?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Rename it to odex.bak
It should rebuild it w the renamed one when you reboot. Then delete the .bak file.
You can try renaming the odex the same way and try it. Won't hurt it to try.

It worked by just renaming it without .bak. Did reboot also.

To everyone that wants to create an app

An idea to everyone talking about creating an app or help with an app someone should make something that let's you edit an updater script etc. Straight from your device this thread may be useless if their is an app that does it please let us know if not it'd be super helpful to the folks that don't have computers or laptops or if it isn't possible or this thread is still useless than close it down and delete it.

AW: To everyone that wants to create an app
You can edit the updater-script with any filemanager if you open it as a .txt file, edit it and then just save it without the .txt ending.

Every time I edit it and never saves any idea why

On my device it work perfect ... Which filemanager do u use? maybe try ES File manager, that's what i use
Edit: Do you try to change the script inside a zip file or do u open it direct?
Used es...and i clicked on it and it said open then gave me options and I opened as text
Edit: clicked on the zip file that is then navigated to updater script

u should try to extract the updater-script from the zip file using a zip manager like ArchiDroid or something similar, then make your changes in the extracted file, save it and then replace the file u changed with the original one in the zip using your zip manager

Popout Browser Question!

Hi, I got a question regarding the Popout Browser option. Before the update 4.1.2 I always could choose an option which browser/app I want to use if I clicked on the link. For example on twitter. If I click on a Instagram link it let me chose with what app I want to open it but now it always opens with the stock browser. Some how I can't find any option where I can modify it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

TW launcher questions.

I created a folder within the app drawer. But can't figure out how to add apps... Or even delete the folder I created.
Select edit from the menu. You can delete it there. Probably add to it there too.
