[Q] Guys, I need your help fast! - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm having problems with my HTC Wildfire, I installed Cyanogenmod 9 on it, and now i want to put it back on stock rom. I did the factory reset, and it still boots up Cyanogenmod and freezes on lockscreen. Please help me, you are my only hope, I have nowhere else to go.

Didn't you back up before installation of the rom?

Unfortunately, no. Is there any way to fix this?

No, I'm sorry, I actually did make a backup. Can you please explain how the process works? I'm a noob here so...

Reboot into recovery by
1. turning off your phone fully and then holding down power and volume down button at same time. This will take you to the hboot menu. Wait a few seconds while it flashes through some SD checking messages
2. Use the volume down key to highlight recovery and press the power button.
3.you will now enter a white HTC screen followed by a long menu use the volume down hey to highlight backup and restore and power to select it then select restore on the next screen and then there will be a date and time on the next screen select that and your backup will be restored. It will take some time though so be patient.

NEED HELP!

I cannot boot into recovery. I was attempting to update ROM/Firmware and now I just get the white HTC screen - won't boot up at all. PLEASE HELP!!!
You might want reinstall your recovery, or try a different one. I use ur pc to push the recovery onto your sd card and then put back in your phone. Then, start your phone by holding down the volume down + power button. You'll that should bring you to hboot. Once your recovery installs, just select recovery from the hboot screen and you should be ok.... As long as you rooted it correctly, that is.

[Q] Can't use the Recovery Mode

Hello Guys,
I've followed the steps from Here and currently installed the Clockwork Mod Recovery v5.0.2.7
When I go to the Recovery (Power+Vol Down) I get the ClockworkMod Recovery Menu, but nothing works!!
When I choose, for example, "power off" or "reboot system now", the menu disappears and only keeps the Hat Icon only. When I press the power button, the menu comes back .. Don't know what is wrong.
Another thing, I want to flash the device with either ICS or JB, don't know which works better on the Desire Z. Can someone guide me from where to get the ROM and how to successfully install it?
Use the track pad not the power key in recovery

Thanks, that worked.
Now my other question, which is better with the Desire Z?
Unfortunately you won't get an answer from me on this as its against xda rules, if you look through the thread I linked you there is just about every ROM ever made for the vision there, try one out, make a nandroid, try another. This will be the best advice I can give you

We have to stick to the rules
Ok, last thing, how can I install it to the device?? I'm pretty noob here :silly:
The thread I linked you has all that information and more, but for the most part
Download ROM (+anything else required)
Put on root of SD
Boot to recovery
Make a nandroid backup
Wipe ALL
Flash ROM (etc)
Reboot
But I really recommend to read through that link

I downloaded CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies and went to recovery mode and fleshed it. But me being a newbie didn't know that S is on. So now my phone is stock on white screen with HTC logo on it. I still can go to recovery mode with no problem. Plese help what to do?

Yea i dont know how to do that ha ha. i will try to look up for a video tutorial. Thank you
Did you pull out the battery for a few seconds -->put it back-->hold volume down 3 seconds, then simultaneously hold down power button for 1 sec while keeping vol. down pressed.
Its been awhile since I've had to do that. A menu should pop up after asking your option for fast boot,h boot, recovery etc... From there you can see if you're s on OR s off. (top left corner)
I wish I could say I have done that before, but I have been on s off for a very long time. I'm not sure if you can turn s on or off from there

You can't and he already said that he's S-ON...
As for the OP, do some reading before doing things that you don't know how! Use search on the XDA site! And this is the wrong place for this post!
