HTC Desire HD not starting up after wipe - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After i wiped my htc in recovery with Android revolution superwipe, i rebooted it by mistake without installing the new rom. Now if i start the phone, its stuck on the htc logo bit. Anyone got any idea how i can fix this?
Thanks

Pull the battery out
Hold down power and volume down button
Should boot into the android boot loader
Then use the volume down and up to navigate and click recovery with the power button should boot into your recovery system where you can flash a backup or new rom

Did you use UnrEVOked to flash? If so try running it again.
But before you do that, try downloading an app called 'Quick Boot', open it & tap 'Recovery'.
Yes did what you said and just goes to the white boot screen

Did you try running unvrevoked again?
If you did and it doesnt work then install a RUU, i think it's a sticky.
This will re-install your recovery image etc but you will lose root.
Once thats done run unrevoked again

Shut down your phone, rip out battery, put the battery back in and connect your charger into the phone. Done.
How have you tried to boot into clockwork?

yes..just tried it can work. thanks jkoljo. I have tried searching the forum. no solution until i post this thread.
If you get the same problem again, check to see if HTC Fastboot is unchecked, Settings > Applications > Uncheck "Fastboot".
With HTC Fastboot enabled it prevents your DHD from actually turning off, more like deep hibernation. So you'd not be able to invoke Recovery.
What jkoljo posted works everytime too!
If you have fastboot enabled and want to go to the bootloader(without advanced power menu), just hit restart phone and while its shutting down hold the vol- button down.

No more access to ClockWorkMod (ROM boots into recovery - if not, bootloop)

Hey, I just rooted my PrimoU and installed AOKP unofficial Nov 24-12. I had a few problems and did not make everything clean (I tried different roms, wiped and so on because I was stuck in bootloops). I ended up with trying to boot into recovery and AOKP boot animation appeared. Now it works fine but I cannot boot without going into recovery because it goes into bootloop (HTC with red text). I want to reinstall the rom because I cannot access recovery mode anymore (rom automatically starts). I tried flashing it with rom manager but it does the same thing. I want to change rom but I can't because recovery is not accessible even from hboot (power and volume down). My kernel is 3.0.16 HELLBOY. Please help :s

Thanks I will try it but will flashing a new rom wipe the old one and will I need to install another kernel or reinstall the same if I put a new rom?
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
that depends if the kernel is compatible with the new ROM.

Never use rom manager! It breaks your phone lol. Why can't you access bootloader? Press vol down, then press power and keep both buttons for 3 or 4 seconds then release power but keep holding vol down until it goes to recovery. Don't worry keep holding, it will work

need help

Hello from the newbie.
Ok guys i screwed up big time on my htc desire hd. I bought the phone from ebay and it was already rooted. It had a superuser icon on it and it was a 2.3.5 gingerbread. I downloaded CyanogenMod 10.1 Nightlies and went to recovery mode and fleshed it. But me being a newbie didn't know that S is on. So now my phone is stock on white screen with HTC logo on it. I still can go to recovery mode with no problem. Plese help what to do?

Yea i dont know how to do that ha ha. i will try to look up for a video tutorial. Thank you
Did you pull out the battery for a few seconds -->put it back-->hold volume down 3 seconds, then simultaneously hold down power button for 1 sec while keeping vol. down pressed.
Its been awhile since I've had to do that. A menu should pop up after asking your option for fast boot,h boot, recovery etc... From there you can see if you're s on OR s off. (top left corner)
I wish I could say I have done that before, but I have been on s off for a very long time. I'm not sure if you can turn s on or off from there

You can't and he already said that he's S-ON...
As for the OP, do some reading before doing things that you don't know how! Use search on the XDA site! And this is the wrong place for this post!
