Hi,
I have updated galaxy nexus phone recently to 4.2.2 with OTA update . Problem I am facing is bluetooth not complletely but in odd way !.
1. My bluetooth gets ON and OFF.
2. It pairs with all the devices
3. PROBLEM : if someone is sending the files , they get that "file transfer cannot be completed . the destination devices did dot accept the file". I don't get and request
4. If I am sending someone some file . I get as "transfer unsuccessful".
5. I can pair perfectly thought without any problem.
I'm running the same update but haven't experienced any of the mentioned errors. Maybe you should factory reset?
I guess that is the only option..`

Hi,
I recently noticed that my bluetooth transfer fails for some reason. I couldn't figure out why and when.
I tried transferring a file from a Nokia handset and it failed. Then I tried sending a file to the same handset. And It worked. I thought may be resetting both the devices would help but it didn't.
Next I tried sending and recieving on a Laptop. It worked flawlessly.
I tried sending a Small file from a Samsung e740. It worked but when I tried to send a Big file such as a SONG. It failed. I tried resetting both the Devices. and It worked. I tried again using a bigger file and it transferred.
Last, I tried using a HTC P3400i and it failed badly. I couldn't send the file nor could I recieve the file. I tried resetting both the devices. and Still it didn't work ..
Can someone tell me what is happening .. Is my phone dyeing or something ?
Bluetooth failing at randome ??
P.S. I've noticed that I am not able to send any files to NOKIA handset most of the times. It just displays a transaction failed message.
If this helps. I am listing all the apps related to bluetooth that are there on my HTC P3300
1. Chi-Tai Dang HomeScreen PlusPlus
2. Total Commander
3. hc4 ObexInboxEx ( without this files are stored on the internal memory)
4. HouMing File Explorer Extension ( I don't think if this can cause an issue)
btw.. I recently upgraded my GSM ROM to 3.34.90. Could this be an issue ?
I was on a very old ROM (it was something like 2.x.x) before and it was having problems when connecting to GPS.
I don't want to perform a complete clean-up of my device. I hope there is some alternate to it
Thanks
I rooted my phone the night i got it (2 days ago). Today i woke up to find my gtalk was no longer working, every time i open it it force closes, my music is all listed, but it says "could not play the track you requested", lastly i plug this into my computer and the computer reads that there is a MTP device under control panel > hardware and sound > devices and printers. right click and browse files gives me the option of galaxy nexus. right click internal storage (25.4 out of 28.1 GB of memory remaining) and click open shows me no files whatsoever. I try to drag files to the devices to drop them on, first it says "are you sure you want to copy file, device may not be able to read this?" its an mp3. i click yes anyway (these files have worked for the past two days) and it says this device has been disconnected or stopped working file can not be copied. can anyone help me? im using the galaxy nexus for verizon, OS is 4.0.2, i used galaxy nexus root toolkit by wugfresh http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1454314 and it has been working until this morning. can you help me get this sorted?
Try locking and unlocking your bootloader, it'll wipe your phone but may solve your problem. It could be corrupted file system.
Otherwise try flash factory images. (Will also wipe.)
Hi to all,
I have Nexus 7 (2013) (Android 4.4.2 & Rooted). I can't install any APK files any more. It gave me a strange error "There was a problem parsing the image". And it's not just the new files. Old APK files gave me the same error. I think something broke my install (Package installer) mechanism. Please help me to fix this problem without reflashing my Nexus. It was working couple of days ago.
I assure you as far as I know I did not change any settings. So far I tried enable/disable unknown sources & verify apps.
Thanks.

Hello everyone,
i bought the SM-P607T during my deployment in Afghanistan over Ebay USA . Spending my time there i tested the device and installed all updates etc. Back in Germany just my wife used it. Some weeks ago i noticed that an update to Lollipop should be avaible so i took the device to bring it up to date and i noticed some problems.
(Please note that i am just a noobie to flashing and rooting android and just follow guides to get to my goal.)
1. Device only loading while shut down. (After rooting and installation of TWRP it strangely started to load while on again even on PC USB connection)
2. Its not possible to connect the device with any PC.
3. OTA updates stop at around 27% and fail (KitKat 4.4.4)
[In TWRP shown
"E: Error executing updater binary in zip /data/fota/update.zip
E: Error installing zip file /data/fota/update.zip"]
Strange enough that the update info shown in android is Chinese Version
Tried to get some support with Samsung Europe but unfortunately they say US device US problem......
So what did i do in the meantime
1. Tried different loading devices frome Samsung and 3rd party companys. No changes.
2. Tried several different data cables to connect to 4 different PC. Even the one wich worked good with my Honor7 or the Galasy S4 mini dont do with the 607
3. My last try to fix this problem was to change the USB charging dock completely. Also didn´t change anything.
4. Now the step where i am currently stuck. I managed to root the device and install TWRP(v2.8.7.0) . Now tried to install Version P607TUVUBOI2 via SD Card.
Just followed diffenrent Guides on youtube and forums but im stuck at this.
Here is the message i got in TWRP recovery:
"Installing /external_sd/1/TMB-P607TUVUBOI2-20510930112901.zip
Checking for MD5 file....
Skipping MD5 check : no MD5 file found
Error flashing /external_sd/1/TMB-P607TUVUBOI2-20510930112901.zip
updating partition details......
Checked the *.zip on my PC there was just this file in: P607TUVUBOI2_P607TTMB1BOI2_P607TUVUBOI2_HOME.tar.md5
Downloaded the file from a different source again with same result
It would be very nice if someone is capable to help me with this and give me a hint what i possibly did wrong (Please do not mention not to buy in the US). For me it doesnt matter if i got a rooted or not routed version to install my main goal is to get rid of 4.4.2 . The problem with the not working USB connection is the biggest show stopper for me.

I really confused about your description? you using twrp to flash a .zip rom? then you mentioned about .md5 rom on your pc? how did you flash? With .md5 rom you need to use Odin to flash. Can you boot into download mode (hold down volume down + Home buttons then press power button)? If you able to boot to download mode, your pc should able to see the device and you would use Odin to flash the .md5 rom from your pc to the device. Also where did you download the .zip rom?
I'm on a Japanese new phone which was never rooted (but sent to repair twice for bad front speaker/earpiece and motherboard)
It currently on Android version 5.0
Japanese version 2.15.40.13
The Phone doesnt connect to the PC, I've tried normal connection with windows explorer, tried the Asus application.
The phone either appears as empty or appears and then suddenly disappears, on and off. I can't even view the contents let alone copy/move/delete. (from the computer that is)
Is there another option to move files to the computer beside dropbox? which takes up my bandwidth and is kinda slow.
I've seen on ASUS site that there are 3 official 2.20.xxx versions yet my phone doesnt recognize anything when I press the CHECK FOR UPDATE.
Is there a way to update it without rooting ? and without doing a factory reset ?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I've tried this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtQeVbKT6Zc
But I dont get the Update pop-up.
Also, Do I need to put the next available version, and update in order or just the newest/latest one ?
EDIT 2:
After a while I noticed that it didnt even copy the file to the phone.
When I connect the phone to my PC (windows 10) via USB 2.0 and/or 3.0 a folder called z00ad shows for a few sec. then disappeared.
I tried to several cables and ports.
sometimes it shows as an empty folder and sometimes I can see the folders inside but then it disappears and I get an error message.
I've got developer rights or access by tapping the kernel version.
I've enable the install by third parties option.
I've disabled the lock
disabled the screen off timer
Is it a Windows 10 thingy ? (I got the new Intel Driver for android)
EDIT 3:
Uploaded the file to Dropbox and downloaded on my phone, saved with ES File explorer to main directory, reset the phone, and now its updating. (UL-Z00A-JP-2.20.40.174-user)
When its done I will update for the next update (UL-Z00A-JP-2.20.40.183-user), and then the latest one (UL-Z00A-JP-2.20.40.185-user).
Hope Android 6 will arrive soon and that all of the problems are software related and not hardware...
Only trouble with this phone
EDIT 4:
Stuck on the INSTALLINg sYSTEM UPDATE... screen.
Its been like that for over 10 min. now, the blue progress line is stuck somewhere between the G and S (installinG System)
How long should I wait for it to finish? I saved the update file to the built-in memory, not the SD so speed shouldn't be an issue right ?
If its stuck what should I do ? Turn the phone off? Reset ? will I lose all of my files/photos?!
For this guy the problem solved itself after almost an hour...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/help/stuck-installing-update-t3151529
I will try to give it 2 and see how it goes
EDIT 5:
After almost 2 hours my phone was updated.
Yet still connection problems to the PC.
I'm trying the next Update, maybe it will fix this issue.
I've read online and I can't seem to find a solution.
I've tried different cables and connected to different USB slots but still, either I get no detection, or a detection with empty drive, or detection with external and internal memory but then it quickly disappears. The phone itself still keeps charging so it must be connected properly.
Has anyone else had this problem ? (I also had it while I was on Win 8.1, now win 10)
EDIT 6:
After doing the 3 available updates, manually... for around 6 hours ... I still cant connect the phone to the computer
