[Q] Network issue on new radio - HTC Wildfire S

Hi everyone, so few weeks ago I runned last RUU with Radio_47.23g.35.3038H_7.57.39.15M vodafone bloated ROM. It worked like a charm for few weeks, and now I don't have any internet access. Event if in "Wireless & networks" I've got "Mobile network" ON, but in phone "Testing (*#*#4636#*#*)" GPRS service: Disconnected ; Network Type: HSDPA. So it's kinda sees it, but doesn't connects to it.
Restarts doesn't help...
And when I turn on "Mobile network" it doesn't feels like he is "thinking" (before it took about 4-5 sec to turn on Mob.N., now it doesn't)
Any solutions?

from where you are? because when you flashed radio it is necessery that it is matched to your original radio version.
so as you described your situation might this radio isn't compatible with your phone.
try get back to original radio nothing else you can do i guess or you can once try another simcard might it's just network fault or something.

[Q] HSDPA connection seems broken?

Hi,
I updated my O2 branded UK desire to 2.2 last weekend using the
RUU_Bravo_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.09.405.8_Radio_32.43.00.32U_5.09.00.20_release_140022_signed.exe
All has been great since then, the handset is no longer O2 branded, and 2.2 is working perfectly.
but yesterday, for no reason at all my data connection when connected by HSDPA has stopped responding.
The APN settings are still correct according to O2s website and the APN connects fine. Its showing 4 bars of connection, but when I use the browser, facebook app, speedtest app or marketplace the connection times out and it says there is no internet connection.
If I restrict the phone to only use GPRS its fine, slow obviously but connects ok.
Same on WIFI.
I have soft booted and removed the sim and battery, I have also tried re entering all the APN detail manually from the O2 website. I have tried putting it in and out of airplane mode.
please can you help me.

[Q] No way I can connect to 3G??!

**Solved**: it could not retain, for some reason, my APN settings. I reset it to factory defaults and it worked...
Hello everyone! A couple of weeks ago I got my DHD (Software version is 1.75, stupid OTA...). My data plan will start this Saturday, so I hadn't really looked into it, but I can't, for the life of it, make it connect to 3G...
It is, perhaps, important to say that it's a T-mobile branded phone (the T-mobile logo appears upon boot-up) from Germany, but obviously it's SIM-free.
Mobile Network Type is listed as HSDPA, but I never see a 3G or H icon, with WiFi on or Off.
If I turn Mobile Network on it gets stuck at "connecting to network", but if I reboot it says it's connected - but still no icons or incoming data.
Any ideas? Could it be that it's from T-mobile? I'm on Wind, btw.
Thanks!
T

[Q] Motorola Defy Help!

This morning my phone lost i-net. I'm no longer able to connect to internet using 3G my browser says error on network and android market says "no connection" or something like that
The icon "H" is still displayed in status bar indicating that there is HSPD connection, but there isn't. Under the "H" there are two arrows pointing up and down, wich usualy stayed gray while no data used, and become bright while data is used. Now "down arrow" is bright all the time - something wrong. The problem is that I haven't touch any settings recently it just gone wrong this morning.
I've done hard reset - no luck, same problem.
now even cannot send sms.
What is wrong ? can I tottaly reset the phone somehow?
P.S. SIM card seems to be alright. I've put it in another phone and i-net and messages go allright.
..how do I get rid of this HSDPA ?
I want force it to regular UMTS (3G)
Hi yonef!
Firstly, I think that HSDPA is the only 3G system in this fone.
So, if you really wanna test if everything is working fine, I suggest you try to put it in 2G mode and check stuff.
Go here: Settings > Wireless & network settings > Mobile Networks > Select network
and select 2G only.
Now try to SMS and surf and see if stuff works. If its still a dud, then a call to the customer care is what you really need!
Although am quite new to android, I have been successfull in modding my trusty old Sony Ericsson K550i fone
yeep, I've just found that 2G kind of working, It is receiveing data (slow), but occasionally it says that there is no connection to internet.
It should be something with the phone, because when I put this very SIM in another phone, 3G is working just fine. When I put it back to the motorola, it is connecting ( "H" symbol apears but there is no internet
Hard reset did not fix it
And it happens jut this morning, I havent touch any settings since last week (weird)

[Q] [SOLVED] T-Mobile G2, no service anywhere, error while searching for networks

I've been struggling with a problem that I just solved in a stupid way so I'm posting to help other googlers.
As I was using my phone recently, I lost service like I had gone into an area devoid of towers, but service never came back. I verified that another TMobile phone (similar plan) found towers and service just fine. I tried everything I could think of from upgrading Cyanogenmod and the radio to reverting to the stock firmware. No matter what I did, the phone would not get signal. When I went to Settings -> Wireless & networks -> Mobile networks -> Network operators I would simply get "Error while searching for networks".
It turns out that the SIM card had seen the end of its days. I went to the TMobile store and had the SIM card switched out for a new one (free) and everything worked again.
The explanation I was given was that old "legacy" SIM cards sometimes will just stop allowing you to connect to the towers with no other symptoms.
TL;DR: If your TMobile (maybe other carriers too) phone isn't connecting to the towers anymore, don't panic. You probably need a new SIM card and you can probably get one for free.
Seeing the exact same problem in the last few days
Found your post by googling the error message - I've got the exact same situation on my G2, the behavior started this last weekend. The phone sometimes connects but is very, very inconsistent. I'm missing almost all text messages, or getting them up to a day late. I guess it's off to a t-mo store for a new SIM card if this doesn't stop. Funny thing is this phone was purchased with a (supposedly) new SIM card - hard to call it "legacy".
Thank you, I just stopped getting service today randomly and nothing I did could get it back. I went in to panic mode and was flashing and wiping and everything I could think of then I saw this post. I didn't think it could work but sure enough it did.
way to be....i learned my fact for the day.
mine just bit the dust.
called t-mobile and they suggested a new SIM as well.
ah well
I had the same issue and after doing tons of troubleshooting i seen that there was a space right under the keyboard that was fully flush with the phone. I lightly pressed until both sides snapped back into place and full service returned. So if you have this issue check to see if there are any spaces open and snap it closed.

Mine has been doing this sporadically, it comes and goes and sometimes I cannot get it to find a service provider. I have to keep doing it over and over and over. Sometimes I have to set phone down and come back in a few minutes to do it again and it finally shows a provider.
The question I have is if you take your phone into Tmobile store to have sim. card replaced do you have to revert phone back to stock G2? Will they say something to you if you are rooted and running CM?
This problem happened to me too and a SIM swap fixed it. They don't check if you are rooted- they might ask you to reboot and change some settings to rule out the obvious stuff like airplane mode, correct carrier, etc.
Maybe not same issue, but also have a soultion for similar issue on G2X
Maybe I didn't have the exact same issue, but I had the exact same symptoms, so throwing my solution up here for other Googlers trying to troubleshoot this as well...
I actually have a G2X, went to Canada where I disabled roaming data and used the t-Mobile wifi calling stuff primarily...
When I got back home to the USA, I couldn't get a signal, but I also didn't have the little x next to the icon... When I went into my settings, I couldn't seem to get the "Use 2G Network" setting to stay off, and of course I couldn't make calls or anything over the mobile network...
So I figured I just needed to force the phone to register on the local network, maybe all the roaming got it mixed up or something, but when I went to the "Network operators" setting, I couldn't "Search Networks" and "Select Automatically" didn't work either, I kept seeing the error "Error while searching for networks".... spent some time playing with libril.so and friends, but it made no difference.
Anyway, long story short, it turns out that there's a setting in the T-Mobile "Wifi Calling" app under "Connection preferences", if you select "Wifi Only", it applies to your setting all the time, even when wifi is disabled, disconnected, and even if the "Wifi Calling" app is disabled too !! So just change that setting back to something else when you're done requiring that behavior and everything will work again, Yay!

I can verify that this is the solution that works. I have the LG G2 w/ T-Mobile. I hadn't had any problems until today. Stumbled upon this thread after the T-Mobile chat support couldn't help me. Went to System Settings and turned wifi calling off completely. Back in business.

[Q] 3G not working!

Since 2 nights ago (and after 3 months of perfectly operating), my 3G network suddenly stopped working, and I haven't been able to reconnect to it. I can only use 2G (GSM) network.
I thought it might be a hardware issue, but when I search for 3G networks, it actually finds my operator's 3G. When I try to connect to it, it says "Registering on DIGITEL" then "your sim card does not allow a connection to this network". I tried with 3 more sim cards and nothing. If I select "WCDMA ONLY", it instantly says in the status bar "Selected Network (DIGITEL) unavailable".
I did a factory data reset (through menu), nothing. Then a Hard Reset through PC Companion, nothing. I tried turning flight mode off and on, and even turned off and on the radio from the "Phone Information" menu and nothing.
I called to my operator but they claim to see no problem (they're always terrible and useless).
I read somewhere about flashing the radio or something like that! Does anybody knows about this? Any help please?
I have a LT15i running 2.3.3 Built 3.0.1.A.0.145
Baseband version: 7X30A-AAABQMAZM-1290_21-22
