APN Settings for Rogers LTE - LG Optimus G (International)

After trying out the unofficial AOKP and AOSP roms I've had to manually add the APN settings for Rogers over and over until I found a combination that gives you full LTE and working MMS. Thought this would be helpful for anyone clean installing!
Everything else should be left default/blank.

Or you can overwrite it the file with the default Rogers one. I keep it handy just in case:

[TING] Flashable Zip - Fixed LTE/eHRPD for CyanogenMod

**EDIT** Unless you're running an older version of CM, use the version 3 zip.
I just wanted to share this in case it helps anyone else with a GNex on Ting service.
I noticed the stock Google 4.2.1 rom on my GNex connected fine to eHRPD and LTE, but when I flashed CM10.1 I could only get EVDO. So I used an APN backup utility to get the proper APN settings from stock, tweaked them to work with CM, and created a recovery-flashable zip file.
These APNs fixed both LTE and eHRPD for me. It also sets the Ting MMS URL.
The zip file is attached to this post. Flash it over an already-installed CM rom, and again any time after you flash a rom update. I don't know if these APNs will work for other LTE devices on Ting besides the Galaxy Nexus, but I suspect they will.
Uninstall is as simple as re-flashing your CM rom, or restoring your original "/system/etc/apns-conf.xml" file with a root file explorer app (if you saved a backup before flashing this).
Another thing I did was set eHRPD to "On" under *#*#3282#*#* -> Edit -> Others/More, though I'm not sure how much difference it makes.
**EDIT**
The zip here:

New version for Android 4.3. Credit to @poo706 for figuring out the new APN version number change. Very little testing on this but seems to work for me. YMMV!

After 3 different calls to Ting trying to figure out why my Note 2 could not connect to LTE, this zip did it! Thank you!
Version 3
Here's my latest Ting APN zip. This reflects some cleanup CM did with Sprint APNs in recent months. Works great on my GSIII and my wife's Gnex.
Hello.
Would you be so kind as to assist me with something like this for the carrier Ringplus?

That also works great on a Nexus 5 running an early unofficial CM.

Copy the APN here into System > etc and replace the current apns-conf.xml
Be sure to set the permissions to rw-r--r--

[Q] Cannot create new APN (4.4.2 ProBAM)

Hello everyone,
I just flashed a new ROM 4.4.2 ProBAM on my Galaxy Note 2 (GT-N7100) and everything seems to work fine except: I cannot make any calls or access mobile network.
I figured I needed to manually configure my APN but the APN won't save, it stays blank!
I tried the search function for similar case but couldn't find anything. Anyone know why I can't save an APN on 4.4.2?
Thank You,
Turtle

[MOD] Unlock ls980 on any aosp based rom for NON US GSM carriers

Hi all. Just want to share what i did and finally made it to make any aosp rom i have tried so far to recognize my sim card with great signal and data (can't test 4G not supported by my carrier). The only aosp based roms that anyone with ls980 can have gsm unlock without doing anything at all are omni and all omni based like dirty unicorns. These need the JB baseband though (i had no sound and auto rotation with cloudyfa's kk baseband).
In the past days tried many aosp with no luck. I was going to phone information (*#*#4636#*#*) and changing from there the preferred network to gsm only/gsm auto prl etc and rebooting but after the reboot not asking for sim pin code and when going to phone info again it was like i changed nothing. What finally worked is from same settings set the preferred network type to GSM auto PRL and then pressing the 3 dots at the top right corner>select radio band and setting USA BAND. Then rebooted and finally sim recognized asking for my pin code and all working great with auto apn settings already there for my carrier. Hope i help anyone being in the same situation. Confirmed working with Alegen Rom-temasek's Build - V7 (my current choice), mahdi and vanir all with kk baseband of course. Sorry for my English.:good:
Tried this on crDroid Marshmallow on my LS980 and it worked perfectly with T-Mobile US. Thanks so much!

What are other omni based roms?

Which ROMS/Modems unlock the GSM Capability with mobile data?

Hello,
I'm looking to buy this phone been reading around
So far I can see that with Carrier+APN tweaks in root explorer stock ROM can be SIM unlocked + data
Cloudy ROMs come natively GSM unlocked but data might need tweaking of APN.
There's a T-Mobile to Sprint convert ROM which works out of the box with Data+Network
I'm only interested in the official CyanogenMod nightlies.
I'll be using this phone in India. UMTS band 2100.
If I flash CyanogenMod 11 latest nightly + ZV8 radio do I get a GSM unlocked phone + mobile data readily?
Do I need to enter this code *#*#4636*#*# in dial pad & select GSM only for GSM & manually add my mobile operator APN for GSM+Data to work?
Or I need to tweak something in root explorer again like you do for the stock ROM?
Please share some information I'm only interested in using CyanogenMod.

t889 best modem for LTE?

I bought a fixer upper t889 off eBay, and I got it rooted using Odin, it came with 4.1.2 md1. I did a back up and installed octos 6.0.1 and my internet goes super slow now. Download speeds maxing out at 15kbs on LTE.
Questions.
Is the MD1 modem the best for the newer ROMs?
Would MB4 work or work better?
If your using octos 6.0.1 what modem are you using?
Anyone willing to make backups of there modem in twrp and share since all the links are dead?
I'm sorry if someone covered this already, like I said my internet is now 15kbs so it takes forever for anything to load.
***Update***
I'm on Walmart Family Mobile, the default APN is "web.omwtoday. com" mmsc "http://wirelessfour.mmsmvno .com/mms/wapenc"
APN type= default,MMS,supl
Ipv4
I did try a few APN settings listed on the forums, the one for T-Mobile us and the tracfone APN I get internet with all but its super slow, no matter if I select 2g/3g/ or lte
I updated to the mk7 modem and same issue 15k download speeds. I'll try the och4 modem next.
I don't recall which modem I have, but I used OctOS 6 for a while. I had differing speeds in differing locations, but nothing abysmal like that.
