After trying out the unofficial AOKP and AOSP roms I've had to manually add the APN settings for Rogers over and over until I found a combination that gives you full LTE and working MMS. Thought this would be helpful for anyone clean installing!
Everything else should be left default/blank.
Or you can overwrite it the file with the default Rogers one. I keep it handy just in case:

**EDIT** Unless you're running an older version of CM, use the version 3 zip.
I just wanted to share this in case it helps anyone else with a GNex on Ting service.
I noticed the stock Google 4.2.1 rom on my GNex connected fine to eHRPD and LTE, but when I flashed CM10.1 I could only get EVDO. So I used an APN backup utility to get the proper APN settings from stock, tweaked them to work with CM, and created a recovery-flashable zip file.
These APNs fixed both LTE and eHRPD for me. It also sets the Ting MMS URL.
The zip file is attached to this post. Flash it over an already-installed CM rom, and again any time after you flash a rom update. I don't know if these APNs will work for other LTE devices on Ting besides the Galaxy Nexus, but I suspect they will.
Uninstall is as simple as re-flashing your CM rom, or restoring your original "/system/etc/apns-conf.xml" file with a root file explorer app (if you saved a backup before flashing this).
Another thing I did was set eHRPD to "On" under *#*#3282#*#* -> Edit -> Others/More, though I'm not sure how much difference it makes.
**EDIT**
The zip here:
https://help.ting.com/entries/423580...d-4-4-Kit-Kat-
... fixed my 3g issues in the latest CM11 nightlies. He's got some extra lines for bare CDMA (non-LTE/eHRPD).
New version for Android 4.3. Credit to @poo706 for figuring out the new APN version number change. Very little testing on this but seems to work for me. YMMV!

Here's my latest Ting APN zip. This reflects some cleanup CM did with Sprint APNs in recent months. Works great on my GSIII and my wife's Gnex.
Hello.
Would you be so kind as to assist me with something like this for the carrier Ringplus?

****This will NOT make a T999 model LTE capable!!! Simply put, it CANNOT happen!!!****
==========================================================================================================
NOTE: It is CONFIRMED that the T999L modem, does NOT work on the original T999. It will not brick the device, but you will have no connectivity.
The same has also been confirmed for the AT&T GS3 - I747. It will almost certainly be exactly the same for ALL variants of the S3!!!!!
==========================================================================================================
The ROM will work on a T999 with few to no problems though! (Ive been running it for about a week now!)
***See Post #3 for instructions on How to Return to Stock***
As most of you know, T-Mobile has recently released a new version of the Galaxy S3. Unfortunately, it seems that Samsung never releases a downloadable version of their firmware for newly released devices. This seems to be no execption, which means that there is no way to fully return to stock once you have rooted and begun flashing customs ROMs and whatnot. For Example: If you root by flashing CWM or TWRP, your stock recovery is now gone and there is no way to get it back......until now!
Over the past several days, I have been working with Motodefier to solve this issue, and I believe we have done so! What we have is a way for users to return to stock if they so desire.
***********Motodefier and I have decided to delay the Odin version of the firmware for the T999L, just to be safe. There are too many unanswered questions and while I think we have it down and would be ready for use, I do not want anyone flashing it until I am certain it will not brick their phone. We have not given up on it though, and will keep you guys posted. In the meantime, we do have an alternative method using the recovery.
I believe Moto is planning a debloated release soon, so be on the lookout for T999L based custom roms to hopefully start coming out soon.
To all of you T999L owners, please do not expect the devs of current ROMs to release additional builds based on this. Their current releases should be able to work on your device as is anyway. I will put together an MB7 kernel + modules zip that you can flash on top of these ROMs in case any of them do not fully function on your device.
In the end, any T999L builds will most likely come from people who actually own it.
Note: I do not have the T999L, so I unfortunately have to rely on others for testing. Where possible, I will test on my own device and will post the results. I will also be sure to label each item as Untested if it has not been.
I am confident everything will work as intended. I wouldn't release it otherwise. If you do decide to try any of this, please post your results. If there are any issues, I will work to solve them right away.
**If you see an item that is untested and you do flash it, please post your results. If it fails please also PM me and Motodefier for further assistance.
*****In the event of ANY FAILURE . Send me and Motodefier a PM, and post here so others know. We will make it top priority to get you back to stock and running normally.
***Please see Post #2 for a list of any reported bugs/problems.

I suggest waiting until the others are tested before testing this one.
This contains the following underlying firmware partitions:
aboot.mbn
NON-HLOS.bin (modem)
rpm.mbn
sbl2.mbn
sbl3.mbn
tz.mbn
Note: Together, these are the equivalent of a Full Firmware as you would normally use if an official one were available. Once each piece has been tested and found working, I will put together a single flashable that will put you back on stock. I will also release a root66 version.
I had posted a couple of these a couple of days ago, but apparently no one wanted to test or no one saw them and they got buried pretty quickly. This is a request for anyone willing to test them out. As usual, I tried my best to make sure they are safe to use. If they do not work, I believe they will fail almost instantly without actually flashing to the device. Also, as usual, i cannot guarantee this, nor that it will not brick your device. This is testing AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!! Please make sure you have a nandroid backup ready, just in case!

If the roms are not compatible with the t999 it would be better to ad another forum for tmobile android development lte.
Remember that even on the international devices the lte version is not compatible with the none lte and they have another forum for it.
But in anycase this would not and never bring lte to the t999.

If we know for sure that the modem is safe I'd be willing to try it here in Phoenix. Just cant afford a brick tho.

Dont you think it would have been a lot cheaper for Tmobile to just turn on lte to our s3 if it was compatible? I mean tmobile probably lost money with all of the units not sold that they had to give back that doesnt have lte.

The reason the international s3 isnt compatible is the partition layout is different. Not the case here.
Thanks for testing. Did you test on a T999 or the T999L?
I think they can be made to be compatible. The L can flash existing roms as I understand it. I tried with both the T999L kernel and the md5 kernel snd it stuck on splash for me as well. May have to do with drivers/modules? Ill look into it though.

The T999 will not get LTE. The hardware is not there.
I Doubt the modem will brick a T999. Prob just wont work.
I know I dont have to say it, but its at your own risk on this stuff.
I mostly put it together for the T999L users to be able to go back to stock. Secondary is for development for the T999 for possible improvements.

[ROM][4.4.2][LG G3 Port][6-29-2014]2FacedRom 1.6/1.7.1x Stock, Debloated, US GSM Unlocked
Please read everything before downloading and blindly installing!
Firstly, this ROM does install properly, it does boot, if you brick your phone while running this ROM chances are it was something YOU did and not the ROM, do not blame me. Secondly, I will keep this as up to date and fix things or add things as often as I can there is a Requested Features tab at the top and if you want something you need to say it there. There is also a Report Bugs tab at the top, same applies. I am the only person maintaining this project right now and I cannot read every post in this thread but I will do my best to stay on top of everything.
The rom is a port from the UK LG G3 but options for GSM or CDMA capabilities are select-able in Aroma. NFC does not work currently and may not work until the LS990 is released and dumped.
The CDMA configurations is still buggy and I am working on fixing it, update 1.7 will see a lot of fixes to the CDMA configuration. The phone app crashes when trying to call out but the phone can receive calls when CDMA is selected on install. Thats the biggest problem I've found so far.
v1.6

Moderator Edit: Link Removed
MD5: 8920b27fd59e08bae905d27266605d79
Working:
Pretty much everything except what is listed below
Not Working:
NFC (Both CDMA and GSM)
Calling Out (CDMA Only)
Settings FC on some menus (CDMA Only)
1.7.1 Experimental!
CDMA ONLY
For SMS/MMS use Hangouts!
Data does work but you cannot Enable/Disable it in settings or change network settings.
The phone will show "Roaming" but it won't actually be roaming.
Since this is experimental and for CDMA ONLY, only install with a clean flash.
Do not install if you are on a GSM network, for GSM stay with 1.6
To Install if coming from other ROM or 2Faced 1.0
1. Must be coming from ZVC Rom
2. Reboot to Recovery and Perform full backup
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Cache
4. Install Rom
5. Customize in Aroma
6. Reboot and Enjoy!
7. PLEASE allow rom to settle for 10-15 minutes then restart before doing anything.
To Install if coming from 1.5x(Dirty Flash is possible):
Make a backup
Install using custom recovery
Select which apps you may want removed in Aroma
Select CDMA or GSM configuration
Rom will format the System partition and install updated version but you will not lose any account data or apps you have installed
IORoot can be found here Here
AutoRec can be found here Here
Thank you to @autoprime for IORoot

I don't have any way of testing with any of those providers but I am working on getting it to work with US CDMA Carriers, I'll do some research into your question and see if it can be put into the ROM. So far I havn't seen much outside of device limitation that cannot be achieved with Android and Custom Roms

I will most likely include a "fatter/bloated" version in my update, I do miss having Quick Memo as well as a few other niceties from a completely stock ROM. But as for now I haven't seen any flashable zip or .apk file to install for individual LG Apps. Depending on work over the next few days I should have an updated version with all of the stock LG Apps. I'm looking into using Aroma and allowing users to pick what they want on install.

Removable user identity module/subscriber identy module. Basically a new method to allow a CDMA (code division multiple access) phone use a gsm network. Our phone service is still CDMA, but 4g-lte is a GSM (global system for mobile) style network. So this format combines the two.

The RUIM card was designed to replicate many of the advantages of the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card on the GSM network. Phones on the CDMA network that do not use RUIM cards store all of the user's information in the phone itself; if the user wants to change phones, he or she has to go to the cell phone service provider, who will transfer the information to the new handset. GSM network phones use SIM cards, which store all of the user's information, so activating a new phone is often as simple as moving the card from one handset to another.
CDMA phones that use RUIM cards share this ability to swap information between phones. The card is the same size and shape as a regular SIM card, and typically includes a version of the SIM software, which means that it can be used in GSM phones. As with switching cards between CDMA phones, however, the GSM handset must be unlocked for a RUIM card to work with it. An RUIM card in a GSM phone might not work in all locations, because different regions use different cell phone frequencies.

From what I've read, it really sounds like if you have a ROM which allows both CDMA and GSM communications you're really limited on the frequencies that the phone can use, the LG G2 uses these GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, UMTS 2100* LTE CAT 3, HSPA+ 21 Mbps* EDGE, GPRS Class 10, UMTS, HSPA+, WCDMA, LTE Bands 25/26/41*. All listed frequency support is network/carrier specific. Roaming capability and network frequency support may not be available. If the carrier you wish to use the device with supports any of these then it should work to some extent, at least that's how it appears to me.

I have Sprint LS980 only . On ZV7 and ZV8 both RUIM/GSM SIM card work once you change the NV only mode in device . I asked as this functionality was disabled by Sprint in ZVC . The device already has the capability and I dont want to lose it by upgrading to Kitkat . The frequencies in GSM might not work in US in HSPA+ but works fine in other countries which have the Sprint LS980 frequencies for HSPA+ and LTE .
So when the user had commented that he had used it in GSM in India , thats why i requested him to put any RUIM and confirm whether RUIM functionality is disabled or not .

This is not a Sprint based ROM, it is T-Mobile GSM based, which is why it allows for GSM carriers to communicate with the device and it not be locked to Sprint CDMA.

White lines through screen.
After the phone goes to sleep and is woken up I get white and black lines through the screen. I have to hold the power button down to shut it off then restart the phone. But it seems to do it every time. Has anyone had a similar issue?

Yes, that means you need the modified kernel for your device. Most likely your device has the JDI panel and the kernel is built for the LGD panel.
Have you checked out this nifty tool which should patch your kernel and fix the white lines issue?

Shortly after posting I can across the jdi kernel and flashed it and all is working now. Thank you very much for the response and help.
I flashed the ROM but it won't boot ahead of LG Logo.
Seems it was a bad flash or bad download...
But, now I can't:
1. Flash TOT file of LS980 as it says incorrect model no
2. Can't boot to recovery thru key combinations.. Its really hit n miss n last time i could boot into recovery thru this combination on some other device was after 10-15 tries.
I can keep trying to boot to recovery n then restore my backup..
Before that, any other solution?
Edit... Was able to boot to recovery n then restore my ZVA backup..
What I actually did was, Flashed the rom on ZVA + flashed ZVC modem.
Was this the reason of not booting the rom? if so, do i need to be on ZVC only ??? No other way to go from ZV7/8/A?

yes it needs the ZVC Modem/Radio, there is a DLL file that will allow Flash Tools to ignore SW Version and flash it to an LG default. You can then reboot into download and flash anything else with the regular Sprint DLL if you ever get stuck again. I've used it many times, here it is.

Got it.. I am already downloading ZVC tot...
But, out of curiosity, I did flash ZVC radio along with your rom, still why didn't it allow?
Thanks for the DLL thing...
So I made the *BIG* mistake in upgrading to 4.4.2. Now I want to venture and install CM11 4.4.4 but I have no custom recovery, am I SOL? Or is there a way to install a custom recovery? I got the device rooted. I tried to install one but it gave me selinux enforcing blah blah.....
What's wrong with 4.4.2? It was a great update. You can install a custom recovery, but you will trip knox if you haven't already depending on how you rooted.
Use my how to guide in the general forum to install TWRP recovery. Just so you know, there are things in CM that are still not working for our phone (NFC and ambient temperature sensor) and a few unresolved bugs.
Give it a try and see if you like CM. You can also flash my ROM and try that if you end up missing all the extra TouchWiz feautures that you lose.

To be honest with you, absolutely nothing is wrong! I just installed CM11 4.4.4 on my Galaxy S4 and the performance on it is superb! And now I can cast from the OS instead of using Chromecast. You have a link to your ROM? Is it 4.4.4? I'll check out the custom recovery you mentioned. BTW I don't use TouchWiz at all (well, unless its a built-in feature I am forced to use. I use Apex launcher so I won't notice any difference besides the dropdown task bar and settings page I believe...
No.. it's 4.4.2 NF9 based but there aren't any major changes between .2 to .4 for our phones. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2746172
I'm trying your ROM but it's not connecting to 4G lte... any ideas?

Wonder if MetroPCS (which used to use T-Mobile APN) are switching to use their own APN? I installed CM11 last night and to my surprise it had a MetroPCS APN...and it worked, but T-Mobile ones didn't... Odd...

Do a carrier search within my ROM and see if MetroPCS comes up, if not, copy the settings from the CM11 APN that worked and create your own APN. I'm not familiar with what APN MetroPCS uses, but if you have the settings, you can create your own.

Will do that after I play around with CM11 4.4.4... I think I like it, it's snappy and fast and has a few extra features (wifi hotspot, torch, casting (chrome) all of these from the dropdown) and it is very customizable. We'll see if I find a reason to go back to Samsung 4.4.2....
I work at a MetroPCS in southern CA, below are the APN settings I use on my Galaxy S5, as well as my wife's Note 3. Hope it helps!
