[Q] adb says recovery when phone should be off? - HTC One V

Hey guys so I noticed this today when I was trying to charge my phone faster by turning it off that when I had it plugged into my computer after I turned my phone off, I typed in adb devices in terminal to see what it said and it showed my device and that it was in recover? But I thought the phone was off? I'm primoc htc one v running the rythmic rom 4.2.2. Is it always this way that when you plug in your phone it automatically turns on? I thought it stayed off while charging?
As a side question, do us primoc users have a kernel or way to "fast charge"?
Thanks!

If u r using cwm.... Change it.... Dats the problem.... Use twrp 2.4.1.0!!

Oh right I forgot to mention my recovery. I'm actually using TWRP 2.2.0 because I tried 2.4 and it wasn't working right, so I went back to what I had before

While booted or while trying to get in to recovery?
If while booted, turn USB debugging on.
If recovery, just flash the engineering image and save yourself the hassle.
all it does is show up for a spilt second when running the loop
and it never sticks even just at offline so you can plug and unplug usb to show recovery
and usb debugging is on

As I said, since you are already rooted flash the enineering rom. Then you don't have to try and the loop to work ever again.
Yeah but how do you flash the engineering build without adb?

adb should be working while booted normally. You don't need to get in to recovery.
Yeah but (I think) his problem and mine is that the phone won't show up in adb during normal operation
One note for mine is that tmos update notification is up there in my notification bar.. perhaps that affects it?

S=on,Lost root and No SdCard access

I was running a Desire Rom on my Incredible when the phone reset vibrated 5-times and would not reboot..after plugging into charger I was able to get the phone to boot , but lost root and phone was s= on. After reading other threads I was able to use hboot and load the 2.2 stock rom back on the device. Currently the phome is S=on , .092 Hboot I tried to use unrevoked3.2 but fails to push the file when connected. I also have tried to use the fastboot oem enable qxdm 0 command but I get malformed error...Since I cannot connect to adb I will reformat my computer and reinstall the drivers seems to have gotten messed up somehow.
Tried ubuntu just hangs and unrevoked doesn't work with MacOs 10.58
any help would be appreciated
Reboot and 5x vibe indicates Qualcomm Diagnostics. Not sure what it does, but it screwed up a few friends phones.

happened to two of my phones, if you have it plugged in to A/C charging, and pull it out from charge while on the boot logo it should stay on. little trick thats been learned. call for a refurb, they wont have any prob replacing it. 1800-922-0204

How can I enable USB debugging again?

Hey, the other day when i plugged my phone into my friends computer the usb debugging option popped up on my phone. Thinking nothing of it I turnt it off. Bad idea as now after resetting my phone it stays stuck at the white HTC screen because usb debugging is off. I can still access recovery and all that jazz, so is there a way for me to enable it again?
I am currently running version 2.4 of Leedroid and am planning on upgrading to 3.0. Thank you.
Not without booting up the rom. And debugging is only for developement work and for things like rooting and S-Off but other than that, you don't actually need it at all. I don't see why it wouldn't allow you to boot up. Just reflash the rom you have and it should fix your problem.
I searched the Leedroid rom thread and somebody had the same problem as me. Lee said "did you disable usb debugging?" So, yes I would assume that this is the problem as the maker of the rom has said that.
It would seem I am stuck then.. Will I restore my backup?
Have a look into the leedroid-thread. The changelog says, that the debugging-issue is fixed.
I'd try to flash the new version via recovery, maybe that's the solution.
There still Sommer people having trouble with the debugging mode.
Normally you did a nand backup, don't you?! Try Young restore it, activate usb debugging if it is Notruf enabled already André reflash the new rom.
Ines the changelog where some infos about the debugging mode?

Root gingerbread JUST ADB ??

Does neone knw how to root Gingerbread fc09 with just adb?
Basically, my phone submerged in water, I did clean the motherboard and let it dry in a vacuum chamber, n luckily everything pretty much works, EXCEPT the power button n essenti ally I want to try buttonremapper but it needs root :/
That means no download mode or booting through clockworkmod, it is a stock rom phone
Other details:
Odin does recognize the phone if turned on, is that sufficient (doubt) to flash or must it b in download mode
Adb has a reboot bootloader option will that load up download mode??
n I can try this if there's no other option but if I hold 1 n turn on the phone (using the the plug in charger/plug out charger) do u guys think download mode can still b accessed? I will try this as a last resort, since currently the phone works as long as it stays on n just need it to 4 sure last me 2 weeks then I can do whatever n case something goes wrong, however I'd like to avoid turning ofd the phone currently as sometimes the charger method doesn't turn on the phone...
thanks, any help is much appreciated

[Q] Cant get into recovery, stuck on boot

Hey... i searched for a solution and couldn't find one....
So i tried to install the Omega rom, the process went by pretty quickly, that's when i became suspicious.
Now i can turn my phone on, but there is something... strange... for instance once the screen turns off, the phone plays dead until i restart it.
i can get into download mode, and i did, tried to install cwm6 again, but it didnt work.
and if i try to go into recovery mode (vol up home and power) it just hangs on the "Samsung galaxy note 2 n-7100" screen.
Thanks for the help in advance =]
edit: Forgot to mention, if i plug it into the pc, windows/kies doesn't recognise it.
:< Please help me i am completly lost and beating my self up for trying this foolishness
Did u check "usb debug" on your device? Try samsung driver instead.
Try reflash recovery via pc odin again.
Might wanna try TWRP as people have been having issues with CWM when flashing ROM's.
Hey thanks for the answers, i indeed check usb debugging and it is on.
i also relized i SOMEHOW managed to download the galaxy s3 rom instead of the note 2 rom and flash it, and i guess thats the problem, however im sure it didnt flash right, any way i downloaded the correct rom and flashed it using mobile odin, every thing worked fine
however i still cant get into recovery mod, and the problem where the device stays in sleep mode is still there...
Im going to try this TWRP thingy now

By the way, as noted by Adam Outler, you should not use ODIN to continuously flash ROM's. Just to reset phone if needed. Using ODIN to flash ROM's will only turn out badly.

Are you using a USB 2.0 or 3.0 port? use 20. if you're not already.

im using 2.0, i tried every usb port on my pc just in case....
The thing is it used to work earlier, before ive gone and messed it all up
Sorry you're not having much luck. Maybe one of the brilliant devs will hop in and lend some thoughts. I'm out of ideas at the moment.
Thanks any way dude, appreciate it.
Im going to sleep, but let me reiterate the problem.
- Tried to flash a Galaxy s3 rom onto the Note 2, dont ask me how i made this mistake
- something.. happened during the flash
- now the phone wouldn't connect to usb (so i cant use odin) and after the screen turns off it wont turn back on again without switching the device off and on
- eventually downloaded the note 2 rom (omega) and flashed it using mobile odin, this time the proccess finished fine, but...
-Still cant connect the phone to the pc usb, (it charges tho, drivers are installed)
-Screen still wont come back on after it turns off
Shameless bump =[
Man.......
im guessing this problem is not a common one eh?
I hate to spam but im really lost, having this 600$ mirrior feels bad :<
Have you tried flashing a stock rom with odin mobile? I've not used odin mobile so I have no idea what it can and can't do. But you could try flashing a stock rom and then put Cwm or twrp after you have checked it
