I tried searching but can't seem to find anything that solves this issue.
I had the device about 2 hrs before jumping into rooting. I think I went a little overboard. I tried flashing the CF Autoroot via ODIN. Afterwards, I used CASUAL. That was successful. However, when I attempted to flash the unsecured boot image it failed. Now I can't do anything but get into DL mode.
I've familiar with ODIN since I had a Charge. But I may have jumped in too early too root this phone. Coming from a Galaxy Nexus it's just not as simple - HA!
Anyways, I would be much appreciated if anyone can assist. I believe I need to flash a secured boot image. I don't think the phone was ever unlocked but I have no way of knowing for sure. It will not boot. It gives me the "firmware upgrade was unsuccessful" page. I get the same if I try to charge when the phone is off.
Help please! TIA.
EDIT: This is what I get when I try to flash the CF auto in ODIN.

Hello, my Sprint Galaxy S3 was running CyanogenMod but I tried last night to flash back to stock and seem to have soft (I hope) bricked the phone. I'm using Odin 3.07 and a copy of the stock tar.md5 file. Now that I've bricked it I can only get into download mode, but my tar flash keeps failing. I've tried reinstalling the USB driver and have used all the different USB ports. I've switched cords and am pretty certain I'm using a good heavy duty cord. Here's where I get hung up. Any help would be appreciated.

well of course it did you probably had ND8 before you had Cyanogenmod; if Odin any stock Rom below ND8 or NDC (if you had ND8 or NDC to begin with) you'll end up with a brick....
I think im soft bricked and ******up pit. I can only flash recovery and it succes only randomly... Battery isnt loading and screen flashes like its going on/off really fast.
When im trying to flash stock rom from sammobile.com it fails with error:

Can any one tell me what could my problem be?
So, I have the SM-G920P. I was encrypting it when it failed. Well that sucks. Fired up Odin, set my phone into download mode, loaded the only version of the stock rom I have (5.0.2). It was running the newest version of the firmware, 5.1.1 with the stage fright fix. I'm using Odin 3.10.6 and when ever I try to flash it, Odin just says this:

From all I have read you can't Odin back to a previous version once on 5.1.1.
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62274187
Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
correct, you cannot go back after you're on 5.1.1, that's why it's not working, you need to Odin a 5.1.1 tar
sent from my S6 using tapatalk
I am having the same error messages in ODIN as the OP. EverYthing I flash through ODIN fails. Even flashing stock 5.1.1 OF7 fails. I believe it's because I was on OGA so I have to wait until the tarball for that comes out I guess.
was a solution to this ever found?

Yes. Use the latest version of Odin (3.10.7 or 3.10.6, both can be found here: http://www.samsungodindownload.com/) and use the latest stock TAR from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63956192&postcount=226
Check the md5 on your TAR download to make sure that it matches. In my experience getting a bad or incomplete download is the number one cause of errors.
And be aware that you CANNOT DOWNGRADE. If you flash to the latest stock and firmware, you can't go back.
my s6 dosen't want to be fomated by givng me msg of cant open the serial(COM)port, and when am removing it in the pc it is turning off,
Hi

Pls Somebody can help to solve this, I dont care if I lose the information
To be clear, when you try to do a normal start, you have a bootloop? And you can enter recovery?
My recommendation, at this point (with no further information), is to attempt to use the Kies emergency firmware installation method, or to obtain the full firmware package and flash it via ODIN/Heimdall.
