I regularly get an loud audible alarm on my phone with an on screen message that I can disable it by shaking the phone.
I cannot figure out where this coming from. It happens randomly as far as I can tell and there are no notifications.
It's becoming quite annoying.
What strange about it is that the on screen message is in Dutch but my phone language is set to English.
Where could the alarm come from?

Has anyone else noticed that the gmail is missing the notification settings and if this was an update to the app or to the system
They're not missing. You just have to go to settings-> your email now. Notification settings should be at the bottom of that list. They just rearranged some things in the update.

But it looks like they removed the vibrate settings, and I usually have my phone on vibrate during the day

They're not gone. I swear they're not. Lol. Settings->your account->labels to notify (at the bottom)->Inbox. Vibrate, ringtone options and such can be found there.

No problem. Glad to be of help
Hi all,
I recently switched from iphone to note2. The thing I needed to confirm was that when I receive new notification on chaton while my screen is locked then the light doesn't turn on and I only hear notification tone also there is no message preview thou from setting is enabled. Things work normal with viber on both cases.
Any help would be appreciated

Is there a setting or something I'm missing?
I put my phone on vibrate but whenever I play a song (poweramp) it puts my phone on ring.
How can I stop it from changing it to ring everytime I change a song or turn on the music player?

Anyone?

It did that to me too. Honestly, I don't think there is a fix for it (I've tried. The ringer went off in class and I got my phone taken up). So just once you play music, see if it's on ringer or not.
Or try a simple reboot. After a few days, it stopped putting it in ringer for me.

I always do check but sometimes I forget and just like you one time it started ringing in class.
I'm not sure how a reboot will help but my phone goes off and on quite a lot cuz I switch batteries so I don't think its working for me.

That doesn't happen to me. But I do know that since CM7 there has been two separate volumes for headsets and the speaker.

ummm i'm not sure if you guys are aware but there is a option in the setting that vibrates the phone if you have any new/incoming notifications while the screen is off, that way you dont have to turn the screen on if u dont feel the vibration... but if you do feel a vibration that means you have a new notification, excuse me if you guys were already aware of this future.
I am not getting a notification at all it just vibrates and there is nothing happening at all. No notification at all.

I used to have that problem on my s3... Not as frequent but it would beep too and I think it was an app running in the background. ..

My phone does this as well. I thought it was a feature that I hadn't turned off
Sent from my SM-N900T using xda app-developers app
I'd also like to add that it doesn't have to be vibrating. It only ever vibrated when my phone was in vibrate mode. however if you turn the volume up, it would make a da da sound like a notification.

So when setting an alarm and selecting vibrate and sound, anyone else notice that it doesn't vibrate? Or is that just me?

I think you are right. I always select vibrate on my alarms, and I'm pretty sure it did not vibrate this morning.
