Is there a setting or something I'm missing?
I put my phone on vibrate but whenever I play a song (poweramp) it puts my phone on ring.
How can I stop it from changing it to ring everytime I change a song or turn on the music player?

Anyone?

It did that to me too. Honestly, I don't think there is a fix for it (I've tried. The ringer went off in class and I got my phone taken up). So just once you play music, see if it's on ringer or not.
Or try a simple reboot. After a few days, it stopped putting it in ringer for me.

I always do check but sometimes I forget and just like you one time it started ringing in class.
I'm not sure how a reboot will help but my phone goes off and on quite a lot cuz I switch batteries so I don't think its working for me.

That doesn't happen to me. But I do know that since CM7 there has been two separate volumes for headsets and the speaker.

Sounds like a dirty USB port, if its not dirty could be bad.

It was happening to me a lot, so I deleted the car app or dashboard app, or whatever it's called. Hasn't happened since.
I'm not sure if this is the right place but anyone having problem with third party music players?
I installed phantom music control and it will start skipping songs right away. I uninstalled anand tried uber music and that skips songs too

Try Poweramp... It works great. Just to be sure, do the issue you are facing happen with headphones in or out? Or both? It could be faulty headphones shorting it out and causing the issue or just a simple reboot might fix fix the problem.

Try using anyone of the music players you mentioned above with the original earbuds that the phone came with and then on speakerphone and see what happens.

This is an issue with CM10 source but the latest nightlies seem to fix it some. It's still being worked on though.

I installed the newest PA and seems to have fixed the battery drain after that now my battery will last me about 9 hours compared to the 2 or 3 hours i would get before )

volume + if u want it loud that bad
I think the notifications sounds affect the volume of music or whatever is playing at the moment. I've noticed that I'll be playing music and I'll receive a text and my volume will go down and it won't go back up as loud....?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
The same thing happens to me. Volume will not go back up automatically but if I hit the volume up or down it immediately goes back to where it was.
Does this happen to anyone else?
The phone is set to silent, and while just sitting on a desk, the phone IS silent. Once I plug in my headset though, it reverts to audible notifications for ringtone, emails, texts, etc... and interrupts playback. The phone still shows that it is on silent, but it's not. Anyone else having this issue? It's not a "rooted" issue, I don't think, because it happened to me before I rooted. I'm not in need of an immediate fix, but it is a little annoyance.

Why would you link him to a thread without an answer? To show him other people have the same issue?

Probably because it's the same question. Now with 2 threads.

I think you can set separate settings when something is plugged into the headphone jack. Just set it to silent while you have headphones plugged in and it will remember. Pretty sure that's right, someone correct me otherwise.

That's the whole point of both threads, this is not happening. Its set to silent and it keeps going off when a notification arrives.

Is anyone else hearing short scratch noises when listening to music on Google play Music? I don't know if it's my device or just a small bug in 10.2.

10.2 bug. Saw it mentioned somewhere...

I ran it for a while and never noticed it. That was with all the audio mod settings adjusted though so I'm not sure if that may be why I didn't notice it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I noticed without changing anything. Not real noticeable but it's there
Sent using the craptastic new XDA app
I've noticed it only makes the noise of I'm doing something on my phone while listening to music. If it's just playing music and the screen is off its fine.

I can confirm the scratchy noise does arise after receiving a notification, specifically after a text message it persists until I change the track and then all is normal again. Does it still happen on the latest nightlies? I havent tested since being on 9/3

Static is still there on 9/4.Any idea whether this issue is on the CM developers' radar?
I did notice that if you turn off the equalizer and not use DSP at all it doesn't make the noise but of course the sound quality sucks.
