tried , still have to power off to have sounds back :/

Try reflashing and do full wipe. Then see if the problem is still there. If any other user use the same rom as you but didn't encounter any problem like you, it is most likely that some leftover / missing steps you have while flashing

[Q] problem with cyanogenmod: cant call after installing new theme

I have installed cyanogenmod 7.1 on my T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S2. Problem is whenever I install a theme, my mic/ speaker on the phone doesn't work. And if I try to restore a backup file using ROM manager, it says MD5 mismatch error. Even when I revert the original wallpaper back, people can't hear me on calls, and I don't hear them. Master resetting the device fixes the issue. Is there any solution, I don't want to be stuck on using just 3 themes that are included.
Only happens to themes downloaded from market. All cm7 themes.

Hope that helps
Hi .thanks for your response. It works for some time then goes back to mute status. Is that a known problem with CM7.2?

1. Set minimum clock speed to 245 mhz.
2. Find a better governer, use smartass or ondemand.
This should solve the unresponsiveness of lockscreen. If still the touchscreen lags in between try einstien; frat's kernel "cake".
In worst case your tochscreen is screwed, (Like mine was).
Change the stock rom thats what my noob mind will say, Just make all the backups using titanium backup and sms backup etc.
If u dont want to change rom then keep the stock rom, but remove some system soft like facebook etc with the help of latest es explorer/titanium backup/link2sd.
Try freezing the apps first with link2sd(off course if u dont use link2sd cancel the message pop up that comes everytime at fist start of it).
Just clean the screen off your shoulder. It'll work. I figured this out long time back..

Hi guys,
Anyone know what could be the reason? Phone just restarts when Im about to receive phone call.
Tried wiping data, cache, and then restoring nandroid but the same.
I don't know the solution but you can try a full wipe
Backup the sdcard also and format that too in recovery !
And in the aroma choose stock kernel, maybe this helps

[Q] Phone Ringtone Always Silent CM11

I have been looking for a solution to this problem for weeks and have found nothing that will fix it.
I am currently on CM11-M3, and have had the problem since 10.2. No matter what ringtone I select it will not play during an incoming call.
I have been testing with wheresmycellphone.com. Ehen a call comes in the phone will vibrate once and very rarely the ringtone will play for a fraction of a second, but most of the time there is no sound. I have noticed that the mute icon (speaker with a line through it) flashes in the notification area briefly the second the phone starts ringing.
Does it be behave the same way on other custom and stock ROMs?
Are you clean flashing?

I dirty flashed 10.2 from 10.1, I did a clean install when I switched to CM11, every flash since has been with a cache/dalvik wipe. I have not yet tried a rom beyond CM.
You should try another ROM, even if it is based on CM11 to see what happens.

I will when I get a moment. I need to be accessible for work right now so I can't risk any excessive off time just yet.

Well, I finally got off my ass to try fixing this again. I was going to try installing SlimKat, and as prep I wiped cache, dalvik and then factory reset. I rebooted to try receiving a call before I started work on flashing the rom and the phone now rings fine. I have no idea what changed, I had tried a factory reset on M2 and it didn't fix the issue. This is the first factory reset I applied to M3 though.

This problem is due to kernal panic. Flash stock firmware or flash stock based rom may be this will fix your issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
How r u gonna say its due to kernal panic. That a biased answer. Thats a little extreme to not trying any other solutions first it could be as small as underclocked to far. Im not one to go against any body trying to help but thats worst case scenerio yea u can try tot and if it still happens possibly hardware issue but still could be on software end but theen this user has to restore all apps and much more. You can use other apps to freeze apps to try that. R unrunning a custom kernal or stock naemomr and mods trickster faux anything like that bad build prop edits
This happend with my G3. I tried every possible solution but nothing happend but after flashing tot everything working fine.
If problem with any app or build prop it will fix them also.
And if its hardware issue then contact your carrier.
