Getting sprint 4g lte in Lansing mi - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Anyone else?

I'm curious what Sprint's LTE speed tests?.

I am never in Lansing, but in Howell Mi for the last month LTE works. Today I now notice it works in Northville Plymouth as well on and off. So seems they are slowing rolling it out.
As for speeds, Download 6.40 Mbps, upload .85. Not sure if these are common as today is the first day LTE is available where I am (work).

That data speed is GOLD on Sprints network, at least from my past experience with them. Congrats.:good:

Question for those in new 4G areas

For those who are getting lit up with 4G, did you see a plummet in 3G speeds prior to launch?
The reason I ask is that I had a massive drop in service with my t-mo phone the two weeks prior to them turning up HSPA+, then like magic all was good. I have 4G less than 10 miles from me, and the three towers by my house are now pathetically slow for data.
I am hoping there is a correlation
Gonna go for one bump and I will drop this.
Admittedley yes, my 3G speeds went from 900KBps-1MBps to 300KBps-400KBps.
4G seems to be getting faster though.

Tmobile Galaxy SIII Not Compatible with (future) LTE Data Network

Before anybody says anything on this matter and so your opinion is not biased from the title, heres a short video showcasing T-mobiles HSPA+ against ATT's LTE on their respective GSIII's.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ia5iBxqsjW8&feature=player_embedded#!
As you can see from that video, or if you skipped it, Tmobile's current Data network was toping around 11mbps while ATT's LTE was pretty behind at 5mbps. Thats only download speeds, and upload speeds were in favor of ATT's LTE but download is more important than upload in my opinion. At the same time though if a user is receiving better download speeds on their HSPA+ network, would it matter if they won't be able to link into the LTE network in the future?
This was confirmed by a tmobile spokesman. I just thought people should know, as this should play a role into people's buying decision. I have not bought mine yet and tried to on the first day but it was sold out. I am waiting for the next batch on the 27th.

ATTs LTE is WAY faster than tmobile's HSPA+, that was either a faulty unit, or a terrible area. My girlfriend is on an ATT Note and she gets an easy 55MBPS down...
I don't care about LTE, I mean TMobile isn't even getting it till like mid 2013 right? and 11mbps is fine for me, I don't know who actually uses faster data than 11 to 15 (I actually get 15mbps down on tmobile where I am).
This is a complete non-issue for most people I think.

Anyone using T-Mobile LTE ZL in NY Metro Area

I am looking for some feedback. I am currently working on T-Mobile 4g/LTE network upgrade in the NY Metro Market. There is only a couple of sites in NY where LTE is actually turned on. We are building like crazy in NY, the sites are integrated with LTE but 99% are not turned on.
But I was wondering if anyone is currently using the ZL with T-mobile in the NY Metro market. What kind of speeds are you getting and how is the service? I have another 2 months with ATT before my contract ends. And i was considering this option.
sadly I live in manhattan ny still no lte for me.
so as u siad u work for tmobile 4g/lte upgrade network
do u know how soon lte will turn on in manhattan?
I have been doing nothing but Manhattan site for the past month. I joined 6 months after they started. Tmobile is making a big push for NYC. I havent heard yet when they plan to turn on LTE. I think they want to complete a majority of Manhattan site before turning it on. We have been doing the outer boroughs but not to the same extent of Manhattan.
Hows the service now that you have? Have you noticed at least a speed increase and better coverage?
Speed for me right now are same like before
Here is speed test.I just can't wait LTE.

coverage and service all good
I haven't any problem with that.
Yesterday was the first time I got LTE in NYC. It was on the subway platform so the signal is likely to be stronger. On both Columbus Circle and Rockefeller Center stops i got 5 bars of LTE. I got an average of 14 down, 3.5 up and 40ms ping.
I'm on the $30 Walmart T-Mob plan so i'm pretty happy to see you get LTE on that plan as well.
I work a few blocks from Rockefeller. I'm only getting 2-5 Mbps down, ~10 Mbps up. I don't know what happened lately overall with T-Mobile's LTE speeds. I know in Manhattan, it's crowded and there's a lot of stress on the network. But in my neighborhood (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn), I used to be able to pull down 25 Mbps on my Note 2. Now it's around 5-9 Mbps on LTE.

Ridiculously slow speed on T-mobile HSPA+

Hey guys,
I'm from the Bay Area in California. I have a supposedly unlimited 4g plan from T-mobile. I don't pay for it so I don't know the exact details but I can always connect to the signal with the H and get data.
I've noticed that over time the 4g from T-mobile has slowed down, almost to a standstill. Youtube used to stream with a little bit of lag on low quality. Now it doesn't even start, stuck on loading loop for ages. The only thing this "4g" internet is good for now is surfing the net and reading mainly text-based stuff. It's basically Edge or worse.
Another person I know has a Galaxy S3 with a 2gb 4G plan from T-mobile. His internet is also ridiculously slow. This seems to be a problem not just limited to the Galaxy Nexus but the HSPA+ from T-mobile in general. The SpeedTest.net app shows I'm getting a whopping 367kbps download and 749kbps upload, at 5:35 AM obviously not peak time.
So is this just T-mobile's issue or what? I've read the same thing about people in other cities getting 1mbps from HSPA+.
I've heard that the Nexus 4 can connect to LTE and overall have faster HSPA+ speed tests. Would buying the Nexus 4 solve the speed problem?
Yes it's T-Mobile. Can't get over 1mbps downstream in College Station, TX
Yes, I am thinking it is T-Mobile... My husband & I have the unlimited plan from T-Mobile (was 5gb, then moved to unlimited). I have a nexus4 in the Bronx/westchester, ny & ny speeds are terrible, edge speeds at best, or no service at all. Don't know what's up.

T-Mobile HSPA+ service just seems to of went downhill lately. While mines not as bad as some of yours (usually 2-3mbps download, right now at 0230 only 3-400kbps) it certainly has been slower than several months ago. I've used just under 18GB in 3 weeks though, so for the price I pay I try not to complain. Phones a G'Nex in the Kansas City MO area.
I can't help but wonder if this has something to do with T-Mobile trying to get people to upgrade to LTE capable phones.

Well I figured the network wasn't that good because it's the cheapest. Turns out some areas with good coverage I can get 5000mbps but in others it drops to around 300.
Still the question was, would upgrading to the Nexus 4 with LTE get better speeds in areas with bad HSPA+ coverage? Has anyone tried this?

You're confusing units mate, if everyone got 300-500mbps we wouldn't be having this discussion. Lol

I thought this was only me... Couple of months ago I had 20-30 MB download speed on my galaxy s 3 but now I bearly get 150 KBPS.. I live in NYC.. I hope T-Mobile fixes their network soon..
slow speeds in college station
I live in college station. just went back to my old galaxy nexus, and the speeds are quite slow...
download: 0.43 Mbps
upload: 0.48 Mbps
FIX THIS T-MOBILE!

Does Sprint Note 4 have radio issues?

I have a Sprint Note 4. In many locations I can pickup 4g LTE/Spark but my speeds are not very high. I currently moved and now can barely pickup LTE and get very slow 3g speeds which which both keeps getting disconnected and losing signal. Whenever I do pickup LTE I gets speeds under 2mbps but like I said, it will lose connection. Now I know people are thinking it's just my new location.... I just recently upgraded my wife's line to the Sprint Note 5. Her Note 5 in the same location picks up LTE/Spark and never drops while getting speeds around 21-27mbps.
Is anyone else having same issues? Are there any ROMS out there with radio updates that will give me good stable connections?
I believe mine has had radio issues for awhile no matter what I do. I just received a Nexus 6p and the difference with the radio seems to be night and day. I'll be doing more testing for the next 2 weeks.

Honestly, I think it is Sprint service as hard as that is for me to say as I love Sprint. I lived in Newark NJ for years, Sprint Spark is VERY strong there (Newark was one of the pilot areas for Spark). Almost every day I seemed to have different results, one day its blazing, the next not so good. Now i live in Bloomingdale NJ where there is ONLY CDMA, here is the weird part, its extremely strong, no issues, sometimes stronger than when I was in Newark with Sprint Spark (LTE). This happens on either STOCK Note 4 Touchwiz OR CM/CMRemix (AOSP). So to me it feels like it is the network and areas I am in.
Now you could say its just the Note 4 and not the Sprint service, EXCEPT the EXACT same behavior happened on my Note 2, in CDMA or LTE WITH SPARK - Touchwiz or AOSP.

For some reason, I'm starting to be able to pickup more LTE service now. Half the day will be on 3G while other half of LTE. My wifes Note 5 has dropped in speeds to anywhere between 3mbps-10mbps but still always connected to LTE all day. -_- Starting to hate Sprint.

Yeah it boggles me too sometimes it works and sometimes not
You have to remember network capacity and interference. These are huge factors. The best time to speed test is during off-peak hours. After 23.1 GB on unlimited plans there is a softcap during peak times. Also, take into account upgrades to the network due to Sprints Network Vision which cost billions of dollars to upgrade towers. This doesnt happen overnight. Patience ladies and gents.
