Currently in training mode, but kind of doubtful of it's usefulness.
I feel like the cost of keeping google location on will offset the savings if not surpass it.

I never have Google location turned on so we will see....... Just the fact that there is a training mode give me some hope plus the app being specifically for snapdragon there may be some code in the app other general battery apps lack.

You need location access enabled for the app to function. I don't know why... Normally I leave it off as well.
EDIT: Also do you freeze apps? I'm trying to figure out which ones are safe to get rid of.

none on this end. update was just released.
Not sure if this makes a difference but i am running houstonn 4.1.2

thanks for that bit of info, haha let me know if it updates again please
I am also on houston's JB build. It hasn't caused considerable battery life loss, but under BBS, it says that
ConsiaBattery (Battery Guru) has caused partial wakelocks a total of 6062 times for 1 hour and 42 minutes.
My phone has been unplugged for 14 hours 43 minutes. That's quite a bit of wakelock if you ask me

I'm getting better battery life, although I do see it using a bit up itself, it does pay for itself, so-to-speak
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app

After batteryguru learned my phone, im down to 4%/hr from 12%, i will try it for few more days.
Sent from my LG-E973 using xda app-developers app

have been using this app for about a week now but see no significant increase in battery life.
Can't see why but I wonder if my phone being rooted makes a difference. ....

Meh. Play store says my device is not compatible...

It's country restriction, nothing to do with the app being not compatible with your OG

Market unlock.... And i see a significant change with heavy usage.... 4-5 hours of heavy browsing and clips... Searching and gaming and dropped to 31%

"Wakelock detector"
Free, Simple and Easy to use.
it is available in Google Play : Link
It has minimum user permission, no extra services running in background and it shows list of apps grouped by their wakelock holding services.
Xda forum has more info about it:

Benny, you can also get the Better Battery Stats here on XDA. I don't have the link to it but I know it's here somewhere.
The advice is free....the bandwidth, not so much

Phone not sleeping?

Please don't flame me for another battery thread, but I'm just curious if this is normal for CM10 and if there is a way to fix it?
My phone looks like it wakes up like every couple min.
I already applied the build.prop tweaks. Can anyone help me?

I'm evaluating Juice Defender Ultimate on CM10, but it's too early to tell. Have you tried looking at running apps and see if you have something stuck in a restarting loop? Maybe get Cache Clear and clear out a misbehaving app cache (not sure that would have an effect)...
Not sure if its from an app cause this doesn't happen on gingerbread. If it were though how would I identify the offending app?

I run juice defender ultimate with the cm10 nightlies. It doesn't seem to be consistent. I have gotten the same results as the OP even with JD running occasionally. One other thing to note about JD is that it doesn't seem to retain my settings. It winds up defaulting back to the balanced profile. I haven't done extensive research yet. Just some minor observations. But using JD (when it works) is still worth it to me.

Check your running processes and see what's there. I have found media server to keep the phone awake at times for unreasonable lengths. But I haven't found what's triggering it yet.

Try to freeze google maps, if mine is unfroze it wakelocks every 2 minutes. -.- also turn off network location. system updates can mess up your battery life too. also, disable google now if you dont use it, its a battery killer as well. i get at least 1:40 on a stock battery screen on time, and 5-7 hours screen on time with a 3800mah battery. phone usually deep sleeps.
I do think google maps was the culprit here, I cleared data and cache and that seems to have really helped. Thanks for you response.

I wont make t 1 day with my batgery....

I assume you mean battery...
How do you know? What do you do with the device that will use all its power so quickly? Mine is averaging 2 days on a single charge with moderate use; there's no reason why anyone else can't manage that.
Besides, all those so called "battery saver" apps are just placebo's anyway; much like memory saver apps are.
Idk man. I tweet alot. and my 3g sucks battery... 2g isnt an option either....
I know battery savers are fake. I got no such thing like that running.
I think it is because everytime i check what apps are running, some apps are open which i didnt open myself at all...

It doesn't sound like you have any idea what the op is asking about.
Better battery stats is one of the best programs for tracking down what programs are triggering wake locks and bleeding your battery.
Using it i found a few programs which had hidden refresh settings set annoyingly high.

[Q] Sudden Battery Drop

My Galaxy S III had a really big battery drop. Why is Gallery, Chrome, and Polaris Viewer taking up a combined 10-20% of the battery? How do I fix it?
Thanks!
P.S. I am completely stock and unrooted.

Do you leave them on (don't close them after use)?
Try closing them in running apps if you already exit them properly.

I always close all the apps I've finished using it (by holding down the home button), and it seems now that those three are always open.

Like I mentioned, go in settings -> manage application -> running applications and manually stop them.
If they restart on their own, then something is triggering them (most likely a app or setting).
I went into the Settings, and Android is showing that while they are using up battery, they are not running. And also, over the past hour, Android OS is using up 18% and Android system is using up 16%. Aren't they supposed to use up like 4% each?

Simply being connected to Google Now can be a big battery drain. Definatly something to look into.
Do you have auto sync on? the more things you sync, the more battery drain you get.
OK. And the only app I have enabled to sync is the email client, which only syncs once an hour.

Battery life improvement tip

So I always had an issue with battery life and people probably already know this but underclocking really helps. I under clocked from 1500 down to 1200 and have seen significant improvement. This may not be the best test as I was home all day so I was connected to wifi the whole time but I still think this is pretty good. Running aokp awesome audio 4.2

I never did that but i use Rom Toolbox/app manager and freeze Maps (i hardly use it and i noticed it uses alot more battery).
But the best way to conserve the battery is to just turn off the phone and don't use it at all. :
